Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i just added my first game to my alienware laptop, skyrim. playing with a keyboard and mouse was frustrating. i didn't want to fork out the big bucks for a "name brand" controller and this was priced much lower than the others. the logitech will work for the xbox as well as in my case a pc. my machine is running windows 8.1 and it installation was quick and easy. just plug in the usb, a few on screen steps and you are done in just a couple of minutes. the controller feels and looks almost identical to an "official" xbox controller but for a third the price. i also like that you can make custom profiles for the controller for each game which makes game play more enjoyable. just an out and out great value for a controller with no downside whatsoever.

I plugged it into my Windows 10 tablet PC and it was ready to go almost instantly. I even works on my 10 year old Windows 7 laptop, although it wasn't ready to go as quickly. Lol

Solid but not spectacular, good at this price

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This controller is a must have, especially if you have the Logitech Gamepad and are playing more racing games (Trials Fusion & Dirt Rally, especially). If I didn't buy this, and stuck with my regular logitech gamepad I bought years ago, it would've been a total nightmare playing Dirt Rally and etc. This controller has xbox controller like triggers, so the more you hold it down, the faster you go. I asked a best buy rep about this way back when near black friday when it was way off, and he told me "Oh no, you'll need the xbox controller for windows for that." Yeah. WRONG! This one works perfectly, and works better for some games where you won't need programs like x360ce. I honestly prefer this over the xbox controller, because the one for my actual xbox has already messed up and I've had it less time than my old logitech gamepad. tl;dr? Has pressure sensitive triggers, contrary to what an associate will tell you. Get this if you're looking for an upgrade or for that feature in particular!

However the biggest problem is that the cord is cheap, thus it dies out quick, after 2-3 months at most. Its not worth the price at all, price should be 9.99. Buy a xbox 360 controller instead, but buy this at a cheaper price for a secondary pad.
