Great controller for PC!

My favorite game pad is the Dualsense PS5 controller, but for PC this one is much cheaper, and works pretty much just as good. I wouldn't use any other game pad. You can freely switch between Direct Input and XInput so it works with 99% of games right out of the box, old or new.

The design closely resembles the Xbox 360 controller, making it easy for gamers to adapt.
The floating D-pad provides improved precision and responsiveness, especially in fast-paced games. No need for drivers or complicated setup; just plug it in and start playing.
it's a great option for gamers on a budget. The Logitech F310 is a solid choice for gamers looking for a basic, affordable controller. While it lacks the finesse of more expensive options, it gets the job done and is perfect for casual gaming and older games2.

A "Controller's" Controller

This is a "controller's controller" - a standard classic that has stood the test of time. First purchased this model around 2010 from Best Buy, but the controller finally wore out with use. Instead of a different model, I went back to what's familiar.
Pros:
- The floating d-pad is comfortable and easy to use. Perfect for fighting games.
- Button layout has classic color schema for those used to the Xbox controller layout.
- Can switch between XInput (for Xbox Controller support) and DInput (customized button layout).
- "Mode" button allows you to swap the role of the D-Pad and Left Joystick.
Cons:
- After years of use, controller started randomly disconnecting while in use. However, this was likely due to how I was using the controller at the time. Results will vary per user.
- The Trigger Buttons are not too comfortable or responsive - they stick straight up and are ergonomically worse than PS3 Trigger buttons. Really have to put pressure on the Trigger Buttons for in-game actions to register.
- Because of the grip design of the controller, some hands may not rest as comfortably as others. It took a while to get used to the grip, but after much use, you get used to the design.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this controller to anyone who needs a new PC controller. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but after 15+ years of use, I know what to expect from this controller.

Light weight , responsive, device feels small & solid, has nice round buttons, and analog sticks are superb.
Compatible with number of games on windows & can be easily switched between X-Input and Direct Input modes.
It's a great controller, but you may miss heavy - wireless controller with vibration/rumble.

For the Price this controller is amazing, a little hard to handle first, but later you get used to it, there's really not much to complain about, except the triggers which are a bit hard, but for $20 It's fine, I don't mind it much, Overall a very good Controller and I would recommend

It's a great controller for the price. No vibration, but that wasn't a big issue for me. I wished the bottom right and left triggers were recessed more like an Xbox controller. They get a little uncomfortable to me after a while. I bought it for Rocket League and it does what I was wanting it to do.

This F310 Gaming Pad from Logitech is well-built and made from sturdy durable hard plastic, As stated in the product description, this game pad can handle sports, action, shooters, you name it. The design & layout gives you a console-style control to your PC games. You can download the FREE Logitech Profiler Gaming Software directly from the Logitech website. The Profiler software allows you to download control settings for a large number of popular games. You can also make your own custom layout settings to save, use, and share with others by uploading them. The "Profiler" gives the F310 the ability to be a very configurable keyboard emulator. And...... Logitech throws it at you for a very affordable price! Buy one and you won't regret it.

Great for the low price! Comfortable to hold, very similar to a PS controller. Worked right off the bat and is great for any PC game that is more compatible wth a controller than a keyboard.

This item is exactly what you would expect: a reliable and easy to use controller from Logitech that works simply via USB connection and plug and play.
Ease of Use:
Plug-and-play worked without any problems on my system and so far it has worked as expected with all the games that support controllers. So far I've used it with Magic Duels, Disgaea, Fallout Shelter, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy 10. I have yet to try it with the BioShock collection but I'm sure if the game supports controllers, it should work without issue.
Cons:
None so far, beside the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and requirement of being plugged in to be powered.
A solid, simple gaming controller and the buttons don't feel mushy and they are responsive. The sticks don't appear to have any dead zone issues either.

I've bought this pad before a few years ago but foolishly gave it to my cousin once I went wireless through another vendor. I wore that Logitech out on many games. This one is simply plug, configure and play. I love the profiler, the way I can map it to the keyboard makes it super easy to set up for almost any game. It's very sleek and handles similar to play station but a lot better, which makes playing games like final fantasy 7 on steam a breeze. I can even configure it for second life if I like, although that one is more of a social game it makes moving around simple and I can program keyboard short cut for minigames. In short one awesome pad, I can never go wrong with logitech

Have been using this controller for seven years, and since it was on sale, I decided to get a backup as my R1 button was wearing out. If you are okay with a wired PC game controller, this is probably among the best of the third-party controllers and you can get 3 or 4 for the price of a single wireless first-party controller. It has both Xinput and DirectInput modes via a switch on the back, so it can be used with both modern games/operating systems as well as older ones. These days, most folks will leave this on Xinput mode 99+% of the time.

It Fits My Hands

I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my husband, so we could play some games together on our PC. I hate XBox controllers, as they are large and for me, bulky and uncomfortable. I like this one because it fits my hands nicely. So A+ there.
I gave it one less star because I feel like this product feels a bit cheap. It's not bad, by any means, it's a great price and works without having to install anything, but the plastic feels a tad on the cheap side. Maybe that's just me and not used to holding controllers... Nothing that won't keep me from playing, though.

I bought this remote because I wanted to daughter to be able to game with me and she was having trouble with the traditional remotes being to big for her little hands (she is 7).
With this remote she is able to hold the handles and still access the buttons. The performance and reliability are good and I have had no issues with response time or defects of any kind.
The price point was the best, turns out it was one of the least expensive devices in the category and I was able t get out of the store for $20 as opposed to the $60 my remote cost.

The controller has a quality feel for the price, however, it may seem a bit large for those with smaller hands. It is very easy to set up, and windows 8.1 completed the driver install with no issues. The F310 does work well, but I find the thumb sticks to be overly sensitive for my taste. Overall, I would say if you're looking for a reliable inexpensive controller for PC gaming, this is the one for you.

This Logitech controller is the top controller with a decent price tag. I feel it is just as good, if not better then using an XBOXONE or XBOX plug and play kit. Save yourself the money and purchase this controller. I have several games that I have found issues trying to use an XboxOne controller with, then I purchased this controller and everyone of the games I retried with 100% success on them. This is the first time I've owned one of these Game Controllers for a PC - all my experience has been with Joysticks. This little controller is really nice! So far, only used it on a few PC games, and it's a really sweet piece! Comfortable, easy to hold and use, and it works flawlessly! in MS Windows, and Linux! I would gladly recommend this controller to anyone wanting an excellent little controller at an excellent price!!!!

A DirectInput + XInput controller

Feeling like a cross between an XBox 360 gamepad (look at the buttons of the controller) & an old-school original Playstation controller (the left-analog stick and D-Pad are swapped here, when compared to a 360 gamepad), this controller delivers in all fronts.
One of the best features about this controller is the fact that it supports both the old Windows format (which is DirectInput) and the current modern input the X360 gamepad (which is XInput). Need to switch b/t the two formats? Just hit the Mode button on the gamepad - problem solved. This is great for switching b/t newer games & older gamers, as not all controllers support both formats.
With a D-pad that feels much better than the 360 gamepad, there is not very much to complain about here. Also, make sure you go online & download the Logitech Software (which is specifically for the gamepad, which acts as a Game Controller Profiler program) from Logitech's support website b/c you certainly will need to have that; especially even more so true for older games.
FINAL GRADE = 5 stars.

When I was looking for a PC game controller to play X-Box Pass on my laptop, all what came up by online searching cost more than $30. I almost gave up finding, but a search result of this controller came up by chance. This one was not listed as Compatible Controller for X-Box Pass on X-Box Pass homepage, but one review saying this works with PC games convinced me to buy this. This perfectly works on my laptop to play X-Box Pass. Make sure you switch the rear switch to X when you play X-Box Pass. If it is D position, X-Box Pass doesn't read this as Compatible Device.

decent controller with a less than perfect d-pad

I picked this up because I found my old PC copies of a few Tony Hawk titles and while my xbox controller was functional I've always felt these types of games were better suited for the playstation dual shock layout. This one was inexpensive, decently reviewed, and I have had good experiences with Logitech devices in the past. The buttons all have a good tactile feedback when you press them leaving no question that a button press did happen, the analog sticks have just the right amount of resistance and the only thing that would make them better would be a concave design to the head of the stick, the analog triggers are smooth but a little one the short side.
Now for the kicker... since this was purchased for Tony Hawk titles where a good responsive d-pad is crucial as direction controls affect which trick you do and hitting left or right plus the flip button is a simple kickflip or heelflip but having a dpad also register a press of the up or down makes it an angled press which is usually a flip trick that needs more air to pull off and accidentally doing a sal flip when you only had room for a kick or heel flip can mean the difference between a barely landed combo and a failed combo... and this d-pad has done this to me more times than I can count... controller manufacturers need to realize sony got it right with 4 completely isolated buttons for the d-pad
So one star knocked off for a d-pad that could easily be better..
Also the controller does not include vibration motors so if that is something you really want skip this one
