I needed a headset that has really good sound quality and a really good mic. Prior to this headset, I had one or the other but not both in one unit. Although I am not a major gamer, I love playing one specific game that uses a ton of voice control. The mic has to be good and preferably noise cancelling. It took some time to get it just right in Windows but I eventually got it. The game understands me perfectly and I am really happy with what I hear. Whether listening to music or playing games, the audio quality is good. The only reason it loses a star is because I have yet to figure out how to make it feel comfortable without squeezing my head to the point that it hurts after a few hours. I am also a bit concerned about the construction. It looks fragile and I worry how long it is going to last. But for now, I am happy. It sounds great, stays on my head, and has a mic that my game understands. If comfort and construction were slightly better, it would be perfect.

I am not sure if my screen's dvi plugin limits the use of microphone use or if the sound card isn't properly setup, but I haven't been able to use this at all.

The downfall to wireless gaming headsets is manufacturers have different models to accomodate for separate gaming systems. One of the things I love most about the Logitech G PRO wired surround sound gaming headset is they are compatible with all major gaming platforms. They have a very crisp and deep bass sound to them and fit comfortably over my ears with a few minor adjustments. The surround sound they provide is compatable with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos features for Windows 10. They may not come with a fancy stand like some competitors but they do come with an auxillary splitter for systems with a separate mic output and also extra ear cushions. For the great sound, price and compatibility, I would say these should be a strong competitor by a reputable company and be taken into serious consideration if you're in the market for a gaming headset.

Good Headset, but a long way from Great

My first impressions of this headset were that it looked plain, didn't have any "wow" factor, and felt very middle of the road. Unfortunately, those first impressions have stayed with me throughout my use of it. When first using this headset, I noticed that it seemed much quieter than any other headset I have used when gaming. On top of that, unless the microphone was uncomfortably close to my mouth, people I play with said I was WAY to quiet. After moving the mic boom closer, everyone kept hearing a terrible echo of the game in my headset coming through my mic to them. After about 2 hours of tweaking settings, I got rid of the echo and got the sound acceptable. Although this headset is quieter then other headsets I have used, it is very pin-point on sounds. If someone was creeping around my location in a game, I knew exactly what direction and had a really good idea of how close. This accuracy has made of for most of the volume issues, but It would have been a definitive win for the sound if the ear cups were noise cancelling. Unfortunately you can hear everything in the room you are in, no matter how low. Build Quality of the headset seems acceptable, but stops there. It doesn't fit my head very well if I am wearing a ball cap, and the poseable mic is not very friendly to get into or keep in the right position. Logitech does win big points with me though for including the 3.5mm adapter necessary to use this headset with computers not using the current computer sound settings. Overall, good headset, gets the job done, but could be better.

** The Good ** The G PRO headset is super easy to set up. Included in the box is a splitter so you can use both the headphone and mic ports on your PC. There’s no need for any special drivers or any need for software from Logitech to use. I would recommend enabling Windows Sonic to get the best sound experience. The headset is made of high-quality materials while still remaining relatively light, allowing you to comfortably use them for long periods of time. I am never worried that they might break if I accidently drop them. The earcups do an excellent job of reducing outside noise. These are not noise-cancelling headphones, but wow, they do an excellent job of noise isolation. I wear thick-framed glasses, and I can comfortably wear these for hours. Logitech also included some thinner earpads in the box if you prefer. Audio quality really surprised me. In the past, I’ve never had the best experience with gaming headsets delivering excellent sound quality for music and other media outside of video games. These are obviously closed-back headphones, but they still sound quite amazing for their price. Audio quality is so great that these are actually going to replace my old Sennheiser HD 558 headphones, becoming my only and primary headphones at home. The mic is high quality and is detachable. When in use, my friends and family say that sound quality is good and clear. It’s very flexible, so you can adjust and move the mic as you need. I would worry about dust collection, so when I’m not using the mic or headset, I just disconnect the mic and store it in a desk drawer. ** The Bad ** If you are someone who wants “RGB EVERTHING!!!”, you might be disappointed in this headset. I personally think RGB headsets are silly, since you can’t actually see the lights when in use, but whatever. That’s really the only “negative” aspect of the Logitech G PRO headset that I can really come up, this is really the best gaming headset I’ve ever used. ** Bottom Line** If you’re in the market for a new gaming headset, do yourself a favor and check these out at your local Best Buy. The headset has a very durable and premium build, while still being very light and comfortable for long gaming sessions (or just listening to music). While you don’t really need any software from Logitech, I recommend enabling Windows Sonic for the best sound experience.

so i own a lot of logitech items I just do not like this mic it is modular so everything plugs in and if you pull on the cord a little bit it unplugs or moves so the connection is not good and you loose sound quality also the mic does the same thing it slides in but is never really in there good.

These headphones sound awesome up to about 3/4 volume, then they distort and cause listening fatigue. I also found them to be mostly comfortable, but they made my head sweat unless I turned on the overhead fan. The cord is to short as well. I use an HTPC as my main system for gaming and normal every day computing, and the cord on these headphones came up a few feet short. I had to move my coffee table and pull my recliner closer to the TV, while also moving my HTPC closer to my recliner.

Comfortable, Solid Wired Headset under $100

It can be tough to find a good fitting and comfortable headset for under $100. These actually fit into both categories. The sound quality is pretty good and the mic for game chat works quite well. The set is wired which is kinda a drag, but at the end of the day not having to worry about charging it all the time is good. The tether seems to be made of a solid braided cable that should withstand some abuse. The ear cups come in two types...a leather style and fabric. Both seem to be fairly comfortable and fit well around the ear helping to cut down on outside noise as well as providing a good sound envelope for the listener. I would recommend these to anyone looking to land a set of headphones for under a hundred bucks that will work with just about any platform.

This is my first gaming headset I've owned. Usually when I'm playing, I'll use my TV or computer speakers and I thought those were fine. But this Logitech Pro headset has been a nice addition to my gaming. Build quality of these headphones are awesome. They feel solid and the leatherette ear pads feel very nice. The cables are nicely braided and feel like they will last. Sound is awesome. Playing GTA V, you hear every detail and it surrounds you. And because they are over-ear, they do a decent job isolating outside noise. In general, over-ear headphones and headsets will start to make your ears hurt and sweat after hours of use. There's really nothing getting around that and something you have to get used to. Also, something great with these is that they plug into any 3.5mm port, so they work well with Switch and PS4. I've also used them to listen to music on my iPhone and they sound great there too. The Logitech Pro Gaming Headset is an awesome edition to any gamer's tool set. If you're looking for a headset that sounds great, is built with nice materials, and made to last, then I think this Pro headset will be the perfect choice.

The Logitech Pro gaming headset is simple to setup and use gaming headset. You get the headset, a boom mic, 3.5mm connector cable with volume and mic control, a mic/speaker adapter, and an extra set of ear pads. I used the set on a PC, but it can connect to Xbox One or a PS4. Setup is easy. There is no software for the headphones, it’s just plug and play. The boom mic fits in the forward-facing headset jack, and the connector cable on the bottom oriented one. The ear cups can rotate 90 degrees so the whole unit can be laid down flat on a surface. An adapter is included, if needed, to split the connector into mic and headset jacks for a PC. Once plugged in, the headset worked fine. Voice was clear and games sound fine. The microphone worked with no problems. People could understand me, and it worked with some voice activated programs. The programs pickup up my words exactly. The ear pads where large enough and comfortable. The headband was a little snug, but I expect it’ll give a bit over time. The headset is plastic and is lightweight. The volume control and mic on/off slider worked with no issues. The sounds quality was better with voice, it’s not tuned to listening to music, but it sounded okay. For an under $100 full headset this is a good deal. It’s nothing fancy with 5/7.1 simulated audio, drivers, or extra lights, you get stereo headphones and a mic that can work on just about anything. If you need or have to keep the noise down on a budget, these should do just fine.

Since it's a gaming headset, I tried it out with a game on twitch. It sounded okay with the volume cranked all the way up. I looked for ways to increase the volume, but my windows volume was at 100% and this headset doesn't have access to an equalizer and it doesn't show up in Logitech's software. That was a bummer for me and a deal breaker. The reason I tested it on Twitch was to see if full volume sounded good...and it did. It was about medium volume and although I couldn't go any higher, it was adequate. Playing music was a disappointment. I tried a number of mp3 files through itunes and a few flac files with Foobar. Both of them were way too low and after a number of Google searches and looking for settings, I found that it just wasn't going to happen. That said these will make a great pair of headphones for gaming. The microphone works pretty good and I didn't have any complaints while gaming. The mute switch works as it should. Some comments I saw said it has a slight lag, but I didn't find that in my case. The leather ear cups weren't my cup of tea. My ears started to sweat and the microfiber extra set didn't fair much better. Also I found the headset a bit heavy. Many commented that they wore it for hours with no issue, but I wore it for 30 minutes and it was a relief to take it off. The fit is great, but the weight is something I'll have wait and see if it gets better. The mic and cord are removable, so that's a plus. Having a second pair of ear pads is a plus too. There is also a splitter included should you need to connect to a mic and sound jack separately. In my case I didn't need it and the mic and sound worked as they should with just the one input through the front jack. All in all it seems like a decent entry level gaming headset. I'll have to get used to the weight and low volume, but I'd still recommend it to a friend. Maybe Logitech can do something about the volume or the lack of software available for this unit.

Perfect for Glasses and Gauges/Big Ears

I've been through six headsets in the past week trying find one that works for my very specific needs. I've got glasses and gauged ears, so finding a headset that my ears fit into without creating odd pressure points on my head is a nightmare. Not only is this headset supremely comfortable, it's actually the best sounding one I've tried. The Logitech G935 came close, but it was a little too bass heavy for gaming. This one has just enough low end to be a little thumpy while still maintaining a great balance. The mic quality is ridiculously good, too. It's getting a little harder to find since the newer G Pro X came out, but if you have big ears or glasses and have issues finding a comfortable headset, I highly recommend this one.

    Logitech G-Pro Wired Headset

Just received my Logitech G-Pro Headset a few days ago and this thing is amazing. It comes packaged with the noise isolating ear pads, detachable microphone, and an audio cable which connects to a PC/Mac, Xbox, or PS4 (and possibly any other mobile device such as a cell phone that still has a headphone jack). The audio cable is really long which I love so I don't feel like I have to be right up on my screen. There is also an inline volume control and easy to use mute button also. The headset fits nicely and can also extend for larger domes, LOL. The ear cuffs are like the most comfortable ear cuffs I've ever tried on any headset ever. Sound quality I really loved. Very nice and clear with just the right amount of bass as well. While talking with others using the microphone, there were no issues and everyone said my feedback was nice and clear from my end. This is a very good headset and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice gaming headset, which can also be used as a regular headset via the audio cable.

First of all, I should preface this by saying the sound quality of both the microphone and headset are perfectly fine. Given this is a "direct connect' to audio in/out, there is no issues with software lag or mixing. It is usable both for PC and platform gaming, so that can be a plus. If you do want to use this for PC gaming, the limitation of audio in/out connection is problematic, at least for me. I had been using a wireless headset which connected via bluetooth, which allowed me to use the headset for communication while using my external speakers for environmental sounds. So I miss that, though in this case I don't have to worry about charging the battery ahead of time. For what these are intended, they certainly work as advertised. And for well under $100 they are hard to beat. If you want wireless or USB connectivity, I'd suggest moving up to Logitech's excellent G933.
