Great sound, simple to use, nice build quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Pro headset is a no-frills headset focused on sound quality and long wear comfort. Suitable for PC or console gaming, the headset provides excellent sound quality with minimal distortion, even during heavy action. The headset comes with a long 6.5’ (2m) cable with an in-line volume wheel and mute slide toggle. The cable is an extremely high quality braided jacket type that is very flexible and should last for a lot of travel and use. It also comes with a Y cable if you need to break out the cable for a microphone input. For my use I don’t need a cable this long, when using it off of an Xbox controller for example the cable is very, very long. It would have been nice to have a cable wrap or even Velcro to manage the cable, sadly all that is included is a twist tie. I put mine in a cable turtle and that keeps it nicely under control. The rest of the box includes the detachable boom mic and a set of micro suede ear cups if the leatherette ones aren’t to your liking. The mic is not a flip up to mute type, you have to use the slider toggle on the line or a software control to mute. As this is an unpowered headset, some features from powered headsets will need to be done with apps or your console. The volume wheel controls all of the audio coming into the headset, so you will need to manage game to chat ratios and mic monitor using your PC or console. Also, there is no active noise cancellation with this headset. On the positive side the lack of a battery makes the headset light and it is always ready to go. It does a good job of sound isolation without full active noise cancellation. The build quality feels solid, with a soft touch finish on the ear cups, deep memory foam ear cups, a band that is steel and easy to adjust, and a pretty strong clamp to the head band. I am glad the ear cups are deep – with the clamping strength it would be uncomfortable with thin pads, but as it is I found it to be very comfortable to wear this headset for as long as I wanted to keep playing. For my testing on the PC, I did a mix of music and games, and the headset performed well at both tasks. Music was well balanced and games were clear and important sounds were easy to pick up on. I also tested this headset on an Xbox One using the headphone jack on the controller. This also worked well, with some games that are known for positional audio such as Overwatch really sounding great using Dolby Atmos for Headphones (more on that later). Voice comms were also clear. Other games like Skyrim were really detailed, with the harsh cling of weapons being drawn and the boom of spells detonating being well relayed. Even soft sounds such as the quiet whisper of a conjuration spell being equipped were clear and easy to pick up. One thing to note with the marketing for this headset that kind of bothers me – the headset by itself is not surround sound. As it is an unpowered analog headset it has no surround processing. You need to use a software surround virtualizer like Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for Headphones to get virtual surround sound. Windows Sonic is in all current Windows 10 builds and the Xbox One, Dolby Atmos for Headphones can be purchased optionally and used on up to 10 devices PCs or Xbox consoles. If you don’t have a software option for surround sound, you are left with stereo sound. Overall, this headset features excellent sound and build quality and a price point that is on target for an unpowered analog headset of this type. I would recommend it for a gamer or someone wanting to get a better sound experience than cheap headphones or ear buds.

Comfort, Quality, Competitive Edge
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.---SETUP--- The setup of the G Pro headset was quick and simple. It’s plug and play, so there is no need to download any software. My PC recognized it immediately. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this headset is that it is compatible with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos. I tried it with Dolby Atmos on Windows PC and on the Xbox One X and can confirm it works on both. Other features are the detachable mic, a two types of ear foams, and a 2m auxiliary cable with volume and mute controls. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of the headset is very good. I was able to hear things in games that I couldn’t hear before. The deep bass handles well on these as does the higher pitched sounds. The microphone was able to send my voice clearly, as my friends told me that they could hear me loud and clearer than before. When using this headset with Dolby Atmos, you can really hear the surround sound. A Dolby Atmos code isn’t provided with this set, so you must purchase that separately for 15 dollars on a PC or Xbox. It isn’t necessary for it to work, but does make a significant difference. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. Though they don’t have active noise cancellation, the pre-installed ear foams do a good job of not allowing noise in while you are wearing them. If that’s not something you want, you can install the alternate ear foams which allow more noise in. The ear foams are easy to remove and install. The cable and the microphone feel like they are quality made, as does the headset itself too. It is also lightweight, so you won’t feel it weigh you down on long sessions. This is by far the headset that does the best job in covering my ears completely and now pressing down on them while wearing them. It brings comfort to a new level. ---VALUE--- The price for the headset in terms of value is on par with its competitors. However, some competitors offer the Dolby Atmos code alongside their headset while Logitech doesn’t, so if that’s something you seek, keep that in mind. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for gamers who want to take their competitions to the next level. Though they don’t come with a Dolby Atmos code, the headset is better that other sets I’ve experienced in terms of comfort, quality build, and performance.

Great, until it wasn't.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the sound / audio aspects of them are great. However, I've had these for less than a year and the headband has already snapped in two. They've literally never left my desk, purely broken from taking them off and putting them back on over the course of a year. Pretty unacceptable build quality issues. Feels like every Logitech headphone product I buy ends up failing due to subpar plastic snapping from general use.

Overall a good headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headset works well - the volume is good but seems to be lacking on the high and low end of the audio spectrum, especially on the low end - no thunderous bass/explosions with this headset! I read a few reviews complaining about static and noise from the microphone - I did not experience this. Anyone I spoke with said the sound was crisp and clear! I especially liked the fact that the microphone boom was removable, and liked even more that the cord was nice and long! Perhaps the people complaining of the microphone noise had removed/reinserted the microphone boom too many times? Overall it's a nice headset - it they could squeeze a little more high-end treble and bass out of them it would be even better!

Doesn’t always work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great pair of headphones in general. Sound dynamics are great, and I believe the audio system built in to these is very good for a basic headphone. The issue I find, which is a big one, is compatibility and connection issues. For example, will work great on one game, then I’ll switch over to a different game and all of a sudden my microphone doesn’t work. And I have a feeling it’s because these headphones connect by a traditional AUX 3.5mm plugin, as opposed to USB. Then, I try a USB headphone and magically works on everything. Like I said, it’s built well and sounds well, but it’s useless to me if it doesn’t work on everything with no issues. I’ll have to upgrade to the G635 or 935 for the USB plug in.

Solid Choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks and feels incredible, not too gamer-esque but very comfortable and easy to wear anywhere. Doesn't cancel out all sound from outside, but good enough to the point where it isn't bothersome and you'll be able to hear someone talking to you if they are trying to get your attention. Sound quality is very good, and I enjoy listening to music, gaming and watching videos/movies on it. When playing a game where pin point sound is key (PUBG for example) I am able to get a solid idea of where shots are coming from, but it's not surround sound so it's not the best The mic is very clear, but I can't even use it because the design of it is so terrible, the slightest bump or move of the mic will cause it to unplug slightly or fall out completely. Very aggravating at first, but I already had a blue snowball mic that I thoroughly enjoy, so I was fine with it. All in all, it's a good choice for a gaming headset for the casual gamer.

Logetech’s Pro G wired Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an audiophile and gamer in my spare time. I purchased the Logitech’s Pro G headset and the quality of the build is solid. It comes with... Console/PC cable with inline volume and mute Detachable mic with full pop-filter Logitech G PRO Wired Surround Sound Gaming Headset for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, VR Microsuede ear pads Noise isolating leatherette ear pads Owner's manual PC splitter for separate mic and headphone jacks The sound in stereo is exceptional. The comfort level is superb compared to other headphones. I used the Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic (you have to make the change in Sound panel of windows and simply go to the spatial sound and select either one. I prefer the Dolby Atmos because it has better clarity and an larger presence with positional sounds that can enhance your game play. In stereo the sound is close to being an audiophile headphone. My friends on BO4 say my voice is clear and detailed with the mic. I purchased my set at Best Buy for $79.99 Easy set up and sounds outstanding right out of the box.

Q: QuestionCan you this with mobile gaming?
Asked by Bryan.
- A:Answer Can you.... use? Yes. Anything with a DIN jack. The 32 Ohm impedance takes more power than typical audio headphones, Some devices may not have enough power to play them at a loud enough volume. You can always take during the return period if they don't work out.

Q: QuestionIs this headphone as comfortable as the new g series? Is it the same or worse. I haven’t worn these headphones but I tried on the newer ones and they are super comfy, I think the reason they didn’t have the old ones is because... well they are old.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello, This headset is the original G Pro headset. If you are comparing them to the current G Pro X, the comfort of the ear pads will be comparable. I would give the edge to the G Pro X headset on comfort and you will also get the improved microphone (4mm vs 6mm) with Blue voice on the G Pro X. You also have improved drivers on Pro X (40mm drivers vs 50mm Pro G drivers.
