    Truly Universal

After owning two previous Logitech universal remotes, I picked up the Harmony One Ultimate, expecting the same great experience I had with my other remotes. What a mistake! I HATED that remote...but I still needed a new remote. Seeing this one on sale, I decided to gamble that it would be a better bet. Boy am I glad I did! For less than a THIRD of what I paid for the Harmony Ultimate, I got this fantastic remote. It worked every bit as well as my first remotes did, and helped restore my faith in Logitech. Once again, I'm happily controlling my home theater system with the ease I had become accustomed to.

Easily programmable using myharmony software. Was able to control my TV, DVR, BluRay, AV Receiver. If some functions are not available in the actual buttons, chances are you may have to use the customized buttons around the colored screen. For example, there is no "DVR" button like in my Verizon Fios remote. I have to click on devices and scroll through the available commands in the screen to find the "DVR" function. This remote also came with rechargeable batteries and micro USB connector for charging but you can still use regular AA batteries if you do not like to recharge. Very nice remote.

Easy to program, simple to use. Upgraded from the 650. The rechargeable batteries is a great feature. Just plug it in overnight and it's good to go in the morning.

    Good remote, clunky software

I love the remote itself. It handles everything I need. But the software on the Harmony website is clunky and not user-friendly. Pros: Mimics well the functions of my other remotes, so that I have one remote to rule them all! Great price. Rechargeable batteries. Cons: Not easy to program using the Harmony software. No included wall charger for recharging batteries. If you remove batteries, you have to start over with programming. Conclusion: For the price, well worth it.

Fantastic remote that works great once you get everything setup. It's worth noting that it takes a lot of trial and error, patience and dedication to get it working perfectly though - especially if you have a lot of different components to control. Strongly recommend setting up using a laptop so you can make changes in the same room as the devices you are trying to configure so you don't have to go running back and forth to a desktop computer every time you need to make changes.

We've got a mix of different brands and technologies (analog, hdmi, etc), but this remote makes it easy. It takes a little time at first to set up devices and activities (watch tv, movie, listen to music), but it's easy to do so. Controls everything, one remote instead of three or four. The only drawback is you have to keep remote pointed at devices directly while using, but you'll get used to it. Don't know if I'd pay the full price, but on sale it's definitely worth it.

Helped eliminate all the remotes and confusion for video games. DVD and cable. One button. So easy the 7 yr old mastered it. Great remote for the price.

Seems like a great remote, doesn't always sync

The remote itself is nice, the backlight is good. The feel of the buttons is nice as well. The downside is the software syncing the configuration to the remote. I returned one remote because it didn't work ever (even with different cables and a different computer). The second remote is not perfect either. Sometimes, the software will not complete the sync process. The Logitech support site doesn't help very much with this issue. Got it on sale so it seems worth it.

This would be the perfect remote if you could arrange the activities and if it could display 3 activities. The touch screen remotes are awful to use. I hate my harmony one so much I'm replacing it with this one (my second 700). The there are 4 "homing" buttons, pg up/dn, d-pad, play/pause and #5. That makes it easy to tell where your fingers are in the dark so you don't have to look at the remote. Also the soft activity screen uses buttons so you can feel which activity your selecting (top or bottom) with out looking. A touch screen means you need to look at it.

Had a Sony remote commander for 12-13 years and the buttons were finally starting to give out. Purchased this remote not sure if I would like it. Just not comfortable with the one touch does all that the box talks about. I would rather got through the buttons myself. Was pleased to find that I could pretty much ignore that feature and there seems to be plenty of extra buttons to get the ones that are usually left off. The program, knew most of my remotes and the learning feature was similar to the Sony. It is a lot smaller as well. Wish I had switched sooner.

Was super easy to set up the remote for the four components I have. When pressing the red buttons to watch tv or change to a movie the line of sight can not be interrupted or you end up with some components not switching. Pretty much need to point the remote right at the components when using. I liked my dish remote because you didn't worry about it's direction when changing things. This remote seems to have a very directed beam. This is why it got 4/5 stars.

This is the second Harmony Remote I've owned. The first one finally wore out. This operates all my devices except my Fire Stick. That is the only improvement I think they could make, but since they're different technologies I don't see it happening.

The Logitech programmable remotes are flexible, upgradable, programmable You plug it in to your computer/laptop go to Logitech's website, tell it what devices you have and boom it programs your report with all the correct codes and pauses need to turn on multiple items you need to watch a movie with surround sound, listen to music in multi rooms, or whatever.. What items or the order of the item that show up on the screen are all programmable. Plug the remote in about once per month to a usb port and charge the batteries back up.

Bought this while it was on sale to control my TV, SoundBar, and FireTV (via FLIRC receiver) and so far it's been great. It took me a while to set up the remote the way due to how particular I can be, but it has worked exceptionally well. The 'MyHarmony' Software is easy to work with and let me customize every button/function of the remote. If you can find it on sale I would HIGHLY recommend you get your hands on one. P.S. I would go on to switch the FireTV out for an NVidia Shield which works with the Harmony 700 without issue!

My wife has been giving me grief for years because of all the remotes it was taking her to be able to watch programming. Finally after doing some research on the internet I found this remote at a VERY reasonable price. I know that there are remotes out there for well over 2 hundred dollars. I figured what the heck, I'll give it a go. Turns out I loved this remote and the ways to program it I bought 2. The online internet connection programming of this unit is just down right awesome. And whats best of all is the wife now has control!
