All in one remote.......
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for an all in one remote that will control just about all your toys, look no further. For the price you can not go wrong $40-$50 bucks on sale. I am currently using this remote to control a Vizio TV, Channel Master DVR+, Samsung Blu-ray Player, Roku 3 & a Samsung Sound Bar System W/Sub and it works very well, it takes a minute or two to get the hang of it, but after that you will not miss having all those other remotes. Setup was a breeze and it is done by creating an account with Logitech online and bamn, you are all done. The only issue that I can see, since I had the remote for a while, is the slippery backside of the remote, it has no grip at all, or should I say very little grip, other than that it is a very good remote with a back-lit keypad and LCD screen. One more thing save your self some time and pick up some rechargeable batteries, it does work with regular batteries, but rechargeable ones work better and last longer. My package did say 2 rechargeable batteries included, but quality control must have been on lunch when the packaged mine, luckily I all ready had AA rechargeable batteries.

The display screen is helpful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new remote because puppy used the TV remote for a chew toYou, so I didn't do any research ahead of time. Went to Best Buy because I knew the staff there would know more about remotes than "they are in Isle 12". A vvery nice, knowledgeable lady walked up and talked me through what would be best for me (I dont see a need to spend 100-200 on a remote). Setup was really easy, the builtin color screen talks to me in sentences, not cryptic codes or blink sequences. ithe display isn't touch screen, but I'm happy about that. The buttons around the screen you use to select things on the screen work very well. Everything on the display is crisp, we'll lit and easy to read. Plus all the buttons glow in the dark, so I don't have to angle it at the TV to see which button is which. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes it doesn't turn everything off when I hit the off button. However, the display always asks if everything did what it should, and has a 1-button process to resolve it. A minor annoyance at most. (See attached picture. The display is crystal clear, my iPad just didnt capture it well) Plus, the following week it went on sale for $10 less, spoke with customer service and they gladly rebat d the difference.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The remote was very easy to set up and get going. I had it set up and working about 20 minutes after I opened the package. Easy enough that my entire family had no problems working it. Only downfall I have come across is if the remote were to fall off the couch on to carpet, you have to go the guided setup process. It appears that the slightest drop the batteries loose contact with the post. It's a minor problem that will have to accepted.

Easy to set up, few small issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was easy to setup and customize. Quite often, but less than half the time the remote won't perform all tasks for a function. Hitting the Watch TV button I have set to turn on TV, cable box, set TV input to cable. Not all those steps will happen, TV might not turn on, or cable box won't. I just have to hit the help button and everything fixes itself. It does make life easier, and may get another next time it's on sale. The ability to recharge the battery is a huge plus.

Love this remote! Controls everything!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this remote to get rid of the remote clutter we were experiencing. Cable remote, blue-ray remote, sound system remote, Amazon Fire and Chromcast. Remote is easy to setup since you do it online. No codes to punch into the remote like other remotes I have had. I can easily switch from TV, Blu-Ray, Amazon Fire and Chromecast. Switches the HDMI ports on the sound system which is the master unit for all of my devices. Remote is rechargeable which is nice. I liked this remote so much I gave it as gifts to my extended family.

Outstanding value and performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first smart remote, I was anticipating a long complex configuration process, but much to my surprise, it was super easy and quick to program the remote to what we want to do with it. Also easy to make changes. Start out by having available the brand and model numbers of your gizmos, as you will need to know exactly what you are trying to control. Download the Harmony software, plug the remote into your computer via included USB cable, and start in. There are a few pre-defined actions, e.g., Watch TV, Listen to Music. By telling the Harmony software what to turn on, you build an action. For example, to Watch TV, I have the Harmony turn on my display, my tuner, and my receiver, and set the receiver to the appropriate HDMI input. When the remote executes an action (e.g., Watch TV), the display will ask if everything is working...if you say no, it will try to turn on the gear that didn't turn on. Pretty sophisticated. Is this One Remote To Rule Them All? So far, yes it is: I have four remotes in a drawer and one sitting on my table. Well, two: I like the remote came with the AppleTV 4, but I could drive the Apple TV with the Harmony. Why is this my first universe remote? Well, I couldn't bring myself to shell out big $$$ for "just a remote." At this price point, it's ridiculous not to buy one. And rest assured, this is a very sophisticated device that is very easy to program.

Perfect solution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my in-laws who had 5 different remotes to accomplish simple tasks. They had the TV remote, cable remote, receiver, blu ray, and the surround sound remote. The setup is easy and straight forward. Find the model numbers and register them then set your commands. Now hey just hit watch TV and everything turns on for that setting automatically. Same with Watch a movie and one custom one to get to Netflix. Great product and it was a nice surprise that it includes rechargeable batteries.

Works Just As Needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote always works. Sometimes when I hit the activity button (such as watch Bluray) to turn on the systems my receiver would revert back to "TV". However, I adjusted the settings on the remote so that the TV would turn on first and others would follow. This way I don't have to hit the Help button. I like lots of buttons because it makes using the remote more efficient. The screen is helpful, but the interface is way too time consuming when configuring the screen when you have tons of options like I do for my receiver. But, I can totally customize which order the options show up on the screen. I wish it were radio frequency and I wish it had a cradle for charging so I wouldn't have to connect it to the charger. Other than that, it's a great remote. For beginners I could see how they could get frustrated with how to use the remote. It takes time to understand the concept of using the activity buttons and switching from device to device.

Q: QuestionWhat are the differences between the Harmony 650 and Harmony 700?
Asked by Parzival.
- A:Answer The only difference, besides possible color of the device, is that the 700 uses rechargeable batteries and the 650 uses regular AA batteries (unless that has changed to AAA). I have a 650 that we have used for years. It would be working better if it hadn't been dropped to often, and it requires new batteries about once every 2 to 3 months depending on use. As far as I can tell the 700 is actually a discontinued product, so I am surprised to see it here, they must have had some remaining stock to liquidate. You will not see the 700 on the Logitech website.
