• After a year, my rechargeable batteries stopped working. So I've been using regular AA batteries with no issues.

• It comes with rechargeables, but you can use whatever makes you happy.

• Rechargeable batteries are no different than regular AA other than the recharge capability. Regular will work.

• Rechargeable "AA" are the only way to go. The instructions that come with the product specifically states this.
