I bought one of these for the first time a year ago. It has been great and my wife doesn't need to learn what devices she needs to turn on to watch TV, a movie, etc. I liked it so much I bought 2 more of them for gifts and our other TV.

I was concerned about how much time it would take to sync all the devices to this remote as most remotes seem to take forever. It only took a few minutes to program. We love this remote, simple and easy to use to control multiple devices.

Got this for Christmas. Works great and easy to program. Would be nice if it worked with my harmony hub but it doesn't. If you want one that works with automation look for one with hub. This is a stand alone infrared remote. Works great.

I've been using some older Logitech remotes. This one is much better. The buttons are easier to use and feel for in the dark, and I found it just as easy to program and learn functions. My old remotes were out dated, so these are great.

Good basic universal remote with a fair amount of tactile buttons which I prefer to electronic ones. Has a back lit keyboard and good battery life so far. Set up was easy. Good budget remote.

I was hesitant to purchase this remote based on my prior experiences with the logitech remotes (approx 15 years ago) but I couldn't resist the sale. Set up was easy and everything works perfectly. I'm actually amazed it works so well.

great remote. no more having 3 or 4 remotes laying around to run your components. this one does it all effortlessly with some simple programming. definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to simplify their home entertainment system.

my Logitech - Harmony 700 8-device Universal Remote - Black is great . i got it on sale .it take a little time to set it up but when done it great.it l like it because the key pad light up and you have no problem seeing it in the dark.

Been wanting to have this remote, but been waiting for the product to be on sale. I finally bought it and wow, it's such an amazing product that replaced the 5 remotes I would have. I control the TV, receiver, xbox 360, Window A/C, tower fan.

This is a good all in one remote. The setup was fairly easy and it recognized the TV, Verizon DVR, Yamaha Stereo system, and DVD player. It takes a little while getting used to the keys of the remote to access functions of the devices.

Was a little tough getting the app to recognize the remote but once I got past that part everything was extremely easy. I love that it operates all my devices without having to push additional buttons! Just select your activity & GO!

I was looking to get a remote for so i can control my xbox. Then i came across harmony 700 which allows me to use it with my xbox along with my tv and cable box. So instead of have a bunch of remotes laying around i only need one.

I actually had five separate controllers laying on the coffee table 24/7, and my wife could never get straight which one(s) to use for which activity. With the Logitech Harmony 700 I only need one, and it is a breeze to setup and use.

It is a universal remote. It does control multiple devices. Setup was relatively easy. A couple of times the software hung up at the end of a programming / update session, so I had to unplug, replug, and do it over. The good: - I like the fact that the buttons illuminate automatically when the remote is moved, without having to press a button first. - It controls all of my entertainment equipment (but does not perform all of the functions that the dedicated remotes can perform). Gripes: - Why are the buttons above and next to the display not illuminated? Those are the buttons I need to use most often! - Not enough Favorite Channel slots available. Memory is cheap, people! - Cannot perform even 20% of the functions that my AV Receiver remote can perform. - Need increased ability to edit commands and sequences. Complicated example: My Samsung Television and Samsung DVD player talk to one another over HDMI, so in cases where I was last watching a DVD before I switched everything off, when I press the button on the remote to turn the television back on and watch TV, the television will initially turn on with the DVD input active (before the remote switches it to the Cable Box input). When the DVD player sees that the TV is looking at its input (even for an instant), that causes the DVD player to switch on, which in turn causes the TV to switch back to the DVD input, even after the remote has switched the TV to the Cable Box input. Then I have to manually switch the DVD player back off, and switch the television back to the Cable Box input. I could probably fix this problem if I could edit the commands that the remote sends when it switches everything off, or if I could add commands to turn off the DVD player and switch the television to the Cable Box input a second time when turning on in watch TV mode, but the remote doesn't allow me to do either of those things. More Opportunities for Improvement: - Would like to have a charging cradle. Plugging a micro usb into the nose of the remote to charge it is a little cumbersome. - Would like the remote to have Bluetooth, since my television remote has that capability. - Would like more than three action buttons, so I don't have to make multiple button presses and look at a menu in order to start listening to music or playing a video game.

I've been a fan of logitech remotes for years and this remote did not disappoint me either. It works fully with all my devices including my Xfinity X1 cable box!! I am happy to write that I could not find any flaw to this remote yet!!!

Purchased this remote because a different universal remote wouldn't work for my surround sound. Works for three devices, and I have the surround sound the dominate volume controller.

Controls all my devices flawlessly. Easiest remote to set up. Backlighted buttons are great. The only negative thing I would say about this remote is that the top buttons (power and activity) do not light up and it drives me crazy...

Going from 5-6 remotes to 1 is great! My spouse is able to actually use the tv, dvr, blueray,etc without me around. Our old Sony DVR/VHS combo is a little odd, but was able to find a way around this issue. Overall, a great product!

...but have issues with older devices like my mid-80s audio video receiver. For example, when I press watch TV, remote activates my DirecTV box and television but not the receiver. No big deal you just tap help follow the prompts until the remote tries to fix the problem which it does every time but usually within a day or two it's stops working again. Fit & finish/build quality are excellent and I would definitely buy this product again. Just try to grab it on sale at Best Buy, they have sales on this device quite regularly.
