I could not believe that a controller would actually be able to control all of my devices and be able to replace the 6 controllers and their own very specific functions that I was using for my system. I have a setup that includes a TV, projector, surround (with dvd), WD TV, a PS3, an iogear wireless hdmi switch and a digital optical switcher. The harmony takes care of all of that! Is amazing.
The setup is a bit annoying but after you set them up you won't need another controller.
I wanted to buy the ultimate home controller but I found the touch a bit annoying, if you want touch control you can use your phone with this one anyways. No need to spend twice as much just for the touch.
You can map any button from the original controller into any of the harmony's home control buttons.
I recommend it a 100%. Pure magic!

I purchased this remote and hub for my wife to have only one remote to work everything. It does just that. We are even able to link to our Amazon Echo and control the hub with voice commands. Only issue was the setup but nothing serious. We found turning off the hub after setting up each activity was necessary for our tv to be programmed properly. Overall we both love it and the ability to use our phones as remotes is a great feature as well. It works our Apple TV, Samsung TV, blueray, Denon receiver and much more.

I absolutely love this remote! Using the smart hub is so simple and makes using my whole entertainment system with just one remote a breeze. Having the physical remote is great for day to day use and having the app on our phones is great if there is ever an issue or I need access to advanced functions. Couldn't ask for a better option to meet my needs. Extremely satisfied with this product!

Stop wasting your time with touchscreen remotes! They look cool, but they have little utility in the real world. This "old school" remote with "new school" connectivity is where it's at. Easy to find, tactile buttons on a small remote with a CR2032 battery that lasts for a year or longer (I know this because I've had another one of these remotes for the past 2+ years). Setup via the app requires a bit of finagling, but stick with it and you'll have yourself a very capable universal remote. I use mine to control six different "activities." Note that the activity buttons are dual function; short press for one activity, press-and-hold for a different activity. Works like a charm!

This has worked excellent for my TV/receiver/surround sound. I love being able to have one remote control my entire system. I also love the option to use my phone! I am able to hide it in my TV stand and use the mini blaster (included) to still use the remote without issues. Even if you have to leave it out it is extremely sleek looking. Very happy I purchased this. The only issue was it took me a while to get everything set up...however, once it was set up I haven't had an issue yet. I have not connected the remote to my smart devices yet, but do plan to eventually to control lights.

I haven't had time to work with it much, but it was easy to set up, it works with SmartThings and Alexa, and it works with all my older and newer electronic devices that I have tried with it. For you "home automation" types (like me), it is pretty nice. If all you want is a universal remote, there is probably cheaper options for you.

once its set up, this thing is amazing! turn on everything you need for watching tv, playing games, listening to music... whatever! with one click on the remote! then turn everything off again with a single click as well! my wife was very skeptical of another universal remote, but she instantly fell in love with it when she saw there were no more dumb device buttons.
the flaw... and this is a big one. its a PAIN to set up! the desktop UI is the worst ive ever seen and the app isnt much better. finding and programming the thing feels like witchcraft since it connects sometimes and not other times. on the bright side, we dont change out our AV components very often, so i take care of the programming from time to time.

I replaced my old set up which consisted of a remote and two receivers with wires taped to every one of my units, I bought it about seven years ago. Now I just bought the companion and it replaces everything just by itself and has room later for lights and electric shades. This thing is just so easy to set up, it lets your phone add and delete devices as you expand down the road, it just works and the price is right.

Brilliant remote. Programming via smartphone puts it in a class of its own. Much more than that though. Remote is RF, so no pointing required. The remote also has a nice feel, and a wonderfully simple layout. I don't control any home devices with it, but it's more than worth it just for the way it works with my entertainment system. My set-up uses smart TV, cable box, home theater receiver, Blu-Ray player, and media player. I never use less than three components at one time, so an activity based remote is a must. I traded in my Harmony 650 to get a discount on this model. I thought the 650 was the most brilliant remote I'd ever encountered, but this is well beyond.

i am very pleased with my Harmony remote it works great on mt TV, Cable Box, DVR, and Sterio Receiver. The Geek Sguad Technician set up my remote and I can now switch from one device to another by touching just one button. I can also power off all the devices with one touch.

Happy with the remote so far - bought to replace an older higher model Harmony remote with touch screen, etc. Remote is a nice size and comfortable to hold and use. Was easy to program and has all of the general features/buttons that most will need. A nice addition would be a "back" button to go to a previous menu page (for AT&T Uverse DVR box) rather than having to completely "Exit" each time and then go through the whole menu again. The Harmony app on the iPhone works well. Has a ton of features and many shortcut keys that speed up navigation. Would definitely buy again.

Works great for behind glass doors

Main reason for purchasing was to have better control of our Receiver behind glass doors and it works great. Also controls our DirectTv and Panasonic TV. However we had to buy a second IR blaster to control the items on the opposite side of the TV in the second glass cabinet (Blu Ray). Also it doesn't really control the XBox. And we have never been able to get the delay quite right, I.e. Takes several seconds from turning on to be able to adjust the volume or control the Receiver in general. But overall a good purchase. Controls from App are a great added bonus.

Love the fact that you do not have to even be pointing directly at entertainment system, at least I don't . It has yet to miss on a transfer from one platform to another however I feel that getting it to do TV or Receiver specific functions (act like the stand alone TV remote) is not a simple process. I had a first generation Harmony remote that finally kicked the bucket and it worked better in acting as a stand alone remote but not as good at getting all the components to change over. Setup was cool I only use the phone app to keep things simple.

I have had a number of different universal remotes over the years and this one was very easy to setup and use. Only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that it takes a little while to boot everything up. I haven't timed it, but I would say almost a minute to start TV, DirectTV and receiver. One other small thin is that I needed to use the RF extender for the TV and had to buy an adapter to plug it in.

Amazing Remote

I never thought I'd be so stoked on a remote, but this has replaced the 3 or 4 remotes I used regularly almost flawlessly.
The setup process is pretty simple. The hub, which connects to your network and sends the signals out, is placed near your devices. It doesn't need direct line of site and I had no problems placing it on top of them. From there it is programmed via the app. The app programs the remote for everything based on its database and Logitech seems to have pretty much everything known to man in there, so setup is pretty simple, if a little drawn out.
The remote doesn't have a normal 'On' button, but several 'Activity' buttons, which are also setup via the app. Each activity button dictates what gets turned on and what device the buttons on the remote are mapped to control. There are 3 activity buttons on the remote, though you can setup different activities based on long and short presses, so effectively you get 6 of these on the remote. I found these all to work extremely well for everything I have. The only downfall I found in this setup is that if something external changes an input or turns something on/off the remote gets out of sync. This can be fixed via the app, but if you don't have easy access to it you may find you have to manually turn certain things on or off. Basically it means you have to use this remote for everything for it to work like it should. Fortunately, it's a really good remote, so that isn't an issue for me.
The remote itself has a real nice weight and has a nice curve to it that makes it comfortable to hold. It's wireless to the hub, but not via IR, so you don't need line of site on the hub for the remote to work. This is especially nice if you have things in a cabinet or, in my case, behind the TV. One thing to note is that if you're used to using the voice search on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon, etc., that's not supported on this remote. I don't consider this a knock against it because with manufacturer restrictions it probably isn't even possible to support all of those voice options anyway. The hub can actually be controlled via Amazon Echo or Google Home if you have one, so you still get some voice options, though they're a little basic.
It's definitely one of the more expensive universal remotes, but if you're in situation where you think you need one I don't think you can do better than Logitech. I've never been so happy to shove my 5 or 6 remotes underneath the coffee table for good.

I have five of these. Once configured, they do an excellent job of automating tasks that would otherwise require a pile of remotes. The connection between the remote and hub is by way of radiofrequency. This is excellent as it does not require pointing the remote at anything for it to work. The app one uses on iPhone to configure the hubs can be a little buggy. The initial configuration to get the hub on Wi-Fi can be a little tricky. Adding your screens and components is easy. Once everything is set up, it is a total joy to use. The remote uses a disk battery that lasts a long time. I had other Harmony remotes with screens on them and hated having to charge them or replace batteries often. I use some of these remotes daily and I would say that I replace the battery a couple times a year at most. Very efficient.

I was not searching for anything terribly fancy. I had a couple of Xboxes (one and 360), a Wii, and an Apple TV connected to a Receiver in a cabinet. A single HDMI cable going through the wall to a mounted TV. In a normal day at least the Apple TV and Xbox where used. In possibly one of the most "first world problems" type statements, switching each device on and off, changing inputs and overall keeping track of the different remotes (particularly the Apple TV one!) was a bit annoying. Got this unit on sale. Configuring it was an absolute breeze. We even got a few macros to map the number buttons in the remote to different Apple TV channels. We hardly ever use the app, but it is a nice touch that it can control your Nest Thermostat as well.

I have used Harmony products for years. This is a great product. If you are like most in my family, you are never far from your phone or tablet. Everyone now has access to the "Remote" at one time.
Set up was a breeze. All of my components were on the online set up wizard. I also control the dimming lights in the room.
