Intuitive setup for adding devices and activities. Like the ability of using an app for setup and adjustments. Like the fact that I can also use my phone as a remote. Have always enjoyed using Logitech.

I had an older Logitech remote. It worked well, but it needed to be charged, and the charger was way over there. That required me to expend the effort to walk 5 steps to the remote, then 5 steps back to the couch when I wanted to watch TV. Then when I was done, if I didn't walk the 5 steps back to the charger, the remote would lose its charge before the next time I wanted to watch TV. I always have my phone with me. This hub allows me to use my phone as my remote. If that becomes too difficult, I was able to connect the hub to my Echo using IFTTT. Now I just say "Alexa, trigger watch TV" and my TV turns on. I am well on my way to becoming one of the fat blobs from Wall-E. Lastly, if you care about aesthetics, the hub needs line of sight to your IR devices, but it connects to your phone via bluetooth. This allows you to hide the hub, the electronics, and their wires.

It does what it says it does but not well. The app on my phone takes 10 seconds to initialize every time. If my phone locks than the app must restart. The only good thing I can say is it has a large selection of devices.

Logitech Harmony have to be among the best customizable remotes on the market. Easy to setup, configure, use with devices. The hub takes that to the next level by allowing you to use it with IR devices in cabinets. So this means I don't need to leave all of my cabinet doors open. It comes with an app so that I can use my phone too, but then I have the remote and so I never use that feature. Although I did extend Alexa to connect to my TV which works well to come into the house and get everything turned on to your favorite station. Voice isn't a great navigation for everyday use, but works well with scenes like going to bed or entering the house. This is the second unit of these I bought because the first worked so well.

I love the harmony hub. It was quite a challenge to get set up correctly, some of the updates to the remotes assignments are not as intuitive as they should be by now. I think the programmers have retained too many of the older software models glitches. I recommend this product if you like your tv and stereo enough to spend about an hour or so setting it up. I honestly don’t think it is plug and play maybe plug and pray.

I've owned a few harmony remotes in my life, and was always a huge fan of what they wanted to be, but felt it was always held back by its stone age setup, and slow software. My hopes for the hub were high, I figured as far as everything else has come, this had to come to. Well...not quite. Don't get me wrong, I got this on sale for $50, and I would never return it. But I had a lot of trouble with the setup, and the software is still somewhat clunky. I took multiple pairing cycles to get the initial pair to take place so I could set it up. Once everything was set up I did find a few annoyances. Like for instance, favorites are not stored on the device, but in your online account. So when i would update my favorite channels on my device, nothing would happen. I then had to find out through forum research that you have "sync" your favorites first, so they can be saved to your "online account" which then gets sent back to your device? And if you have alexa, all channels are classified as "scenes." So after doing that, I had to re-enable the skill in alexa, then check all the channels I added, give them voice commands, and run discovery again so it would add the channels to my scenes. Its a very long roundabout way to add a voice command for a channel. However, the hub itself is very snappy and responsive compared to past standalone remotes. And that I am pleased with. After ironing out all my favorites and getting everything set up, things have run quite smoothly.

We wanted to have voice control with our Samsung suhd 8000 series tv, xfinity x1, denon Avr s720w receiver. Setup is easy. Relatively quick in response from app to hub. Changing channels from the app lags and have to enter one number, wait, enter another number and so on. Powering on/off is almost perfect; in fact it's rare one of the units are missed. Be sure to chk the TV and receiver options that controls the auto switching for audio.

If you have had a Harmony Remote before be aware that this one will not be perfect yet. I still have repeated attempts where one item does not respond to activities. It is improved but not enough in this. Where this is a big benefit is that you don't even need a remote for the most part. Your friends and family obviously would need one of they didn't have the app on their phone though. Also, I have Hue lights and this will control them. I have not added it to anachronistic quite yet. Keep working on this Logitech, still a ways to go. But if you want to simply ft and have more integration. Don't buy if you're looking for a remote to erase frustration because unfortunately it's not perfect yet.

The Harmony Hub allows you to use your tablet or smartphone to control your devices. TBH, using a smartphone is a terrible way of using this device because the screen is too small. For my AVR, there are over 50 screens or pages you have to scroll through. Using a tablet makes things easier because you have larger real estate to work with. I actually prefer using a regular Harmony remote because most of the buttons are logically arranged and you can reprogram them. The problem with the regular Harmony remotes is that you cannot rearrange the order of thescreen displays. Another issue is that programming the Harmony timings can be difficult on devices where timing is important. The hub is not all that bad, you also can connect to Bluetooth devices (the regular Harmony does not), so you can actually program Roku or the NVidia Shield on the hub. What I do not like about the hub is that you always have to activate the display of the tablet and tap areas of the screen to do anything. The regular Harmony remotes are easier because you can shortly memorize the location of the buttons of most used commands.
