Good, but just short of excellent...
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed. The Harmony hub is a great addition to any home entertainment system remote juggler! While the Harmony Hub performs well, and I have not had a problem from it at all in the past couple of months. The developer Logitech is lacking in how they allow for versatility in styling the remote in the iOS application compared to the of the native ir beam Android phones that developers have created apps for. - Additionally, if you opted to program the hub from the computer and are a Mac user, Logitech fumbled the platform and was late with a release that was comparable with MacOS Catalina.

Logitech remote
||Posted .The hub works as advertised. It is easy to setup. The only draw back Is it needs to be positioned in front of the components to pass the signal. Your iPhone becomes your remote control.

Fails connecting to WPA Mac Airport Extreme Wless
||Posted .Doesn't work with Alexa, My Mac Airport Extreme and my Mac Pro. All my other devices work fine on my Wi-Fi except this hub. When I set it up it worked for a week, then stopped working, I repowered everything and now it doesn't seem to be able to connect to my network. Very buggy. (Mac Pro, Airport Base Station with WPA set up, Alexa, & Harnomy Mac App.) Just hangs when trying to connect. Have tried to configure it from both the IOS app and by plugging into my computer. No luck.

Q: QuestionCan I use an Amazon Echo to operate my Logitech harmony hub
Asked by Brian.
- A:Answer New Harmony app has been released and it now integrates directly with the Echo. All is working well.
Answered by Will
Q: QuestionMy spouse is a blind parapalegic. Can this device be used as a voice control to change the TV? We also recently purchased an Echo for him.
Asked by PJA.
- A:Answer Yes you can turn the tv on and change the channel but can't do volume or mute functions . You have to specifically tell Alexa to turn on a channel like fox or abc not go up or down in channels.

Q: QuestionWill this hub work with Google Home?
Asked by Jess.
- A:Answer It looks like it doesn't work directly with Google Home, but Google Home works with IFTTT, and IFTTT works with Harmony Hub. So it would be Google Home to IFTTT, IFTTT to Harmony Hub. (You would still just say one command, but on the back end that would be the path of the command). https://support.myharmony.com/en-my/harmony-experience-with-google-home

Q: QuestionI have a media closet in which I have trouble operating some of the devices since they have to be in line of site. The hub has IR blasters to help with this problem, however, does the hub have to be in line of sight or can it be in a closet as well?
Asked by MCOX2985.
- A:Answer You are able to use the Harmony Hub in a closed cabinet since it has Closed Cabinet Control, which enables you to control your devices behind closed cabinets and doors with IR, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® wireless. - Richard from Logitech

Q: QuestionInstead of buying the Harmony Elite w/ hub and paying $263, can you just buy the hub and use the app on your iPhone? Save you money and one less remote. Or do you have to have to buy the entire package? Receiver and components in closet.
Asked by Indy1.
- A:Answer Hub and iPhone will work just fine. No need to have the physical remote. You can always add one later if you like.

Q: QuestionThere is a Harmony Smart Control and Hub and just a Harmony Hub for $20 more. I want to upgrade my 950 to turn on appliances with a smart plug. Are these hubs different? Why would I buy the hub alone for more money? Why would I need an additional remote
Asked by Wondering.
- A:Answer I wondered the same thing when I was hunting around and decided that you don't really *need* the remote if you have a smartphone, but you might want it. I ended up getting the one without the remote and found that the app, for the most part, is suitable and easy enough to access the Harmony Hub's controlled devices, when I'm not barking orders at my Google Home. However i do have an existing Harmony remote that is still programmed that I use sometimes as well (it doesn't work with the Harmony Hub but controls my entertainment center like an old school remote). Sometimes, even in the age of voice-connected smart devices, you may still want a tactile device. I have physical switches for my smart lights that I use when the voice commands are not practical. And if I didn't have an existing Harmony remote, I might consider getting the remote bundle because sometimes I have no idea where my phone is. Another option is an old iPad or tablet that you can mount to satisfy the need for the tactile. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionI have the older hub 815-000118 that replaced the old Logitech hub when they first changed over. Will this hub work with the Elite Remote?
Asked by Whisky56.
- A:Answer Hello. The remote that comes with the Elite bundle can be paired with any of our Hubs. Keep in mind, a Hub can only be paired with a single remote, and a remote can only be paired with a single Hub.
