It took a little while for us retired folk to get used to but once the usage is explained it is a great remote and you do not have to be tech savy to use it!

This is probably my 5 or 6 remote from harmony. This is by far the worst unit was more difficult to program then previous software versions. After programming it and using it locked up and stopped working after resetting it worked for a half hr then went dead again reset it once again then lights stopped working on remote. returned it and got another harmony 650 I now own 3 of them they are a no frills remote but they work like they are supposed to and don't freeze.

The design and feel of the remote is extremely durable. Remote was very easy to setup and customize for all of my devices. Even controls my Roku!

I was really pumped for this smaller/sleeker remote. It is a total nightmare for DVR, with the FF buttons way to high on the remote. I have gotten used to the skip forward and skip backward function and was able to assign those to the touch screen. Unfortunately you have to hit the touch screen once to light it up and then those buttons work 50% of the time. Maybe I have gotten spoiled with how good my cell phone’s touch screen is, but this is brutal. Returning it tomorrow to get the 900, it is on sale at Best Buy luckily. Bummer Logitech.

Great remote control if you have multiple devices

This remote control is really cool. It lets you setup activities so you only have to press one button to turn on all the devices and change the inputs for that activity. This remote lets you change the wallpaper and icons of your activities. You can get icons from this website http://www.iconharmony.com/icons/home

Three remotes are better than one!

For a $250 remote I expect much better technical support. But, once again, technology has failed me in large part due to the lack of clear communication with the technical support staff. Before I purchased the item I checked the compatibility list to be certain that my devices were all compatible. They were all on the list. I programmed two of the three components with no problems. The third (Samsung HT-E5400) would not switch to the proper input. I tried to get support in three ways: telephone, the Logitech user group and through Logitech’s email support. The email support was very slow. Responses took more than 24 hours and didn’t seem to address my issue or ask the proper questions to quickly solve the issue. There were some helpful responses on the user group but they were also slow and the input quickly dried up. The telephone support was awful and is the real reason why I gave up, returned the remote to Best Buy and will avoid Logitech as much as possible. In three separate telephone calls to Logitech I reached three different people who all spoke very broken English and communication ranged from difficult to impossible which was compounded by what became very technical issue. Finally after more than an hour into the third telephone conversation I explained that I was being asked to do all the same things that I had already done several times. The technician told me that he would escalate the issue to the next level and that I would be called within 2-3 hours. That was five days ago and I have not been called. This morning I re-packed the remote and returned it. So, in the end I’m not sure if there was a way to make the remote work with my component or not but now I’m HAPPILY back to my three original remotes! Three remotes never felt so good.

    Best Xbox One Media Remote

Even though it does not have a keyboard, this is the best media remote for xBox One. The ability to program and use with the xbox TV tuner make this a must have utility for getting the most for an Xbox without a kinect. Backlight, touch screen and charging stand make this remote a must have. I am thinking of getting one for my folks.

    Harmony One Is Better

After hearing so much about the Harmony Remote, I went to the store and bought what was available: Harmony Touch. Ouch, I wasn't planning on spending so much money!!!! Took it home and programmed it. Soon realized that it had no Skip Track button, but had fast forward. Not very nice for playing CDs, or Blu Ray. Then I discovered that there was no way to ever replace the battery. I found the Harmony One at 1 store in the vicinity, so I took the HTouch back and saved myself a lot of money! Harmony One is much better, and has a Skip Track button where I need it!!!

Apparently the install issues have not been resolved with this remote either currently it is nothing more than a paper weight I along with many other cant log into our Logitech accounts and until you can the remote is useless as you can not set it up until you log into your account. So $250 spent for nothing at this point. If your read the forums on logitechs site they all say what I am posting her

    Touchcreen dislike

Love the Logitech remotes. Upgraded to one with play, FF, Rewind buttons above the touchscreen. Hated it. Reaching for buttons frequently detected as a command on the touchscreen to change what we were watching. It was worse for smaller members of the household that couldn't reach over the screen as much. The entire family disliked it enough that we downgraded to another Logitech with the viewing controls below the touchscreen

I probably would not buy it again. The manual remotes I have always had we're easier to use and turned all my equipment on and off. This remote does not turn everything off, such as the radio. There are rocker arm switches in addition to the screen which operates the volume, yet the channel rocker arm is only used in a particular instance. It is frustrating!

This remote is a complete disappointment. It does not turn devices on and off correctly, there is a delay in the response between choosing an action and execution, and tonight, I agreed to a 2 minute software update., that was an hour ago and the remote is still updating. I need to figure our another way to mananage my tv / sound system and get rid of this remote. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!

The Geek Squad sold me this Universal Remote when they came to do my install. It has a mind of its own. The screen changes from one day to the next. Even worse, if you try to turn on your stereo without the remote, you can't. The remote apparently seizes the receiver and will not allow you to play music from your I pod. To add to the hours of frustration, the touch screen is incredibly difficult to use. Try scrolling through it to get your I pod to work and you might end up with HDMI input 6 or some strange menu on your TV screen instead of reaching the I pod control. Using the touch screen made me feel like a long tailed cat in a room full of steel rocking chairs. To add insult to injury, the remote sends completely unnecessary software updates to itself. You cannot try to use it without accepting the updates. It's a great toy for a computer geek, it's a nightmare for the buyer who wants to listen to his stereo.

This remote does what it was designed to do - controls all home entertainment components. However, if you want the ability to control other types of items (e.g., home automation components), look to the Harmony Ultimate line of remotes.
