As I was putting the keyboard back in the box to return it - lo and behold there was a USB bluetooth dongle in the box. Now I could connect it, and everything works fine. So, they lost one star for not listing anywhere in the instructions that this USB bluetooth adapter was part of the package.

I'm using one for my desktop hooked up to my living room TV and the same for my Laptop in my bedroom TV. I've also purchased one for work that i keep with me all the time as it plug and plays with every computer I've needed to gain access to. The last one is a spare for when one of them eventually dies or i drop and break it. BE CAUTIOUS AS THE DONGLE IS NOT INSIDE THE KEYBOARD BUT ACTUALLY PART OF THE BOX; SO MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE DONGLE AND STORE IT IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT PRIOR TO DISCARDING THE BOX!!!

Track pad probably depends on your preference/use caee, but for me not having a mouse rattling around suits my needs nicely. Overall, it can be a little finicky at times, but relatively cheap for a wireless keyboards with a track pad.
