It is being sold for smart TV and it is designed exactly for that purpose. It is light in weight with good looks and feel. I am using it from a distance of 5 meters from TV and it is fantastic. The good thing is it also has a track pad thus eliminating the requirement of separate mouse. However, I felt that the trackpad could have been more sensitive. Mind you it is not a bluetooth device, it is a simple RF keyboard. The receiver will sit in the USB port of your TV.

Great Price for MS Surface Pro 3 Wireless Keyboard

The reception on the receiver is solid as well. I wish it had more tactile, less membrane-y keys, but for what the keyboard is trying to be, it works.

I am a teacher and have recommended to my collegues. 2 have bought their own and love it as well. It is so convenient not having to rummage around the room looking for my mouse while I teach.

Smart TV Keyboard

The smart tv's internet browser uses the remote control and an on-screen keyboard to input text in the search field. This is very cumbersome at best. I purchased the wireless keyboard after reading other positive reviews. There was no setup necessary, other than plugging the USB receiver into the USB port on the TV. Both the keyboard and integrated mouse pad work well , but there is a learning curve the way this keyboard interacts with the smart TV features. Having said that, it is a big improvent over the way the remote control was used to input text and control other smart TV features. This is not a perfect solution but I recommend it over, the more expensive ,LG Magic remote that is available.
