    Great "all-around" laptop

Never had a macbook before this but it seems solid. The display quality and battery life are both way better than I expected. The chipset is pretty beefy for such a "budget" macbook and I definitely could use it for more than just web-browsing and the occasional document writing, and its pretty user friendly (yes even if you've never used a mac before)

This thing rocks! Best laptop I've ever owned without a doubt. Size and weight are perfect, screen gets bright enough, speakers are good, trackpad is awesome, keys feel nice, and the battery literally lasted me a whole week of average use. I haven't done any intense tasks on it yet (photo editing, video editing, music production) since I have a PC for that but as far as the everyday email, web browsing, video streaming, video calls, etc go, this is an unbelievable computer *especially* for the price.

Better than my i7 gaming laptop

I bought a Dell G7 from Best Buy a Little over a year earlier, it was supposed to be a high-end gaming laptop. I don’t really use it for games but more for video editing or audio editing as well as day-to-day tasks. This puny MacBook air blew it away in every aspect. Cool to the touch silent and faster. And the battery life on the G7 was a joke. I went days between charging the air. Screen is bigger on the G7 but other than that, the M1 makes me wonder…. What the heck is in store for the future? Wow

I use this computer daily for work and personal things. I've had no issues! I always thought buying a MacBook would be a waste of time and money; however, I was proven wrong. The battery life is great, display is great, it runs fast, everything about it is great. I definitely recommend buying new.

I decided to go budget and went with a basic Macbook Air. To my shock it is an extremely powerful but light & pleasant device. I use a $2K Macbook Pro for work and this thing rivals the speed but is smaller and quieter. I build my own PC's and I am not a huge Apple fan because of the 'Apple Tax' increase in price but this thing is a fantastic performer for a budget price. The M1 chip is fantastic.

Perfect for my needs. Lightweight and easy to use. I replaced a 2006 MacBook, so this it's nice to have a battery that works again! Got a great price on sale! I mostly use it for email, Facebook and editing files. It's nice to be able to have a lot of tabs open and not have it crash. For my needs, it's perfect!

Apart from being incredibly slim and beautiful, this laptop is also incredibly lightweight, specially compared to the dinosaur I just came from being the MacBook Pro from like 2010. I got the basic seeing as I didn't need to do anything crazy on it, and it over performs on anything I've needed so far. Battery life is incredible as well when not plugged in, and charges other devices quickly. Totally recommend

This little guy... Wow.. Battery life is out-of-this world. Great screen, better keyboard than a couple of generations ago. Stupid fast. Don't let the 8GB of ram scare you. The M1 processor uses ram differently than the older Core processors. A lot of your main-stream software is already at least compatible with the M1, with more and more being optimized all the time! Everything I use day-to-day is already optimized and WOW the performance from this entry-level LAPTOP kills my old desktop!!

Not sure I can say more about the MacBook quality and performance that has not already been said. I will add that with the M1 chip there is not much a reason to look at the MacBook Pro beyond any specific requirements you might have. The Pro will serve those who deal with a lot video editing or resource draining applications. But for those who want a good , fast, lightweight ,and powerful laptop, this is it.

I needed a new laptop after my 8 year old MacBook Pro. I decided on a MacBook Air. I had the Geek Squad put my old stuff onto the new one. I love my laptop! It is light and fast and has a good sound. The pictures are bright and clear. I chose the gold colored one which almost looks bronze. Very pretty. And, it was on sale.

I've owned the MacBook Air M1 (first gen) for almost a year and I can say without a doubt this is THE best laptop I have ever used. Honestly, I'm hesitant to even call it a laptop as it feels more like a work of art or a magical artifact. Let's take a closer look: Design? Breathtaking. Battery? Outstanding. Display? Gorgeous. Performance? Out of this world. Do yourself the favor and buy yourself this work of art. You won't regret it.

I purchased the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop - Apple M1 chip to upgrade from my old PC laptop. I couldn't be more pleased. This MacBook Air is lightning fast and feather light. It has no fans so it doesn't get hot. I love the backlit keyboard. The screen is slightly smaller than my old 15.6" laptop, but it wasn't really that noticeable. I highly recommend this laptop.

I absolutely loved my Mac book, the battery life was spectacular and I was able to go days without having to charge it. I did mainly use it for school and to study. I recently upgraded to the newer MacBook Air. I do wish they had it in rose gold. All in all it had great great storage for my schoolwork. I would also sometimes watch TV on it while doing work. It ran very smoothly and never had any issues.

Great 13" laptop - better than any PC

Best mac I have ever owned (and have owned G5 Cheesegrater, mac mini Intel machines, macbook, macbook air (intel)). This thing is really amazing for the price - especially when on sale at $800. I bought open box for $865 early in 2021 and no issues. Just traded into Apple last week for $515! Got great use out of it for two years and trade in value was excellent. Waiting to get the 15" Macbook Air that is supposed to be released June 2023. THAT will be the perfect machine (assuming they don't do something stupid with design/features). This thing runs Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22 faster than a native install on a "windows" PC. Just BLOWS them out of the water and not by a little - the M1 ARM processor is very fast - at many things - so even if don't like MacOS - just buy Paralles virtualzation software and a Windows license. Done and Done. For what you pay/get you can't do better for general use machine. Battery life ridiculous - lasts for whole day of use no problem. One benefit of buying this older machine is Apple designed these with 2 SSDs (effecivetly a RAID configuration) which is twice as fast as the M2 machines (unless you get the upgraded storage). So, buying the base model still nets you performance gains you won't get on an M2 based machine.

Snappy, quiet (no fan), extremely portable, and crazy long battery life! And durable too!!! What more do you want?? Smaller bezel, touchscreen, and better camera? Yes, there are other 13" laptops out there with smaller bezels and touchscreen. But not with this performance and battery life! I'm mad at both Intel and Dell for still playing a catch-up game after a year and a half! We bought our first M1 Air last summer and this is our 2nd one!
