I bought this as a student a year ago now and it has been one of the most useful things for me. I don't worry about a charger I just remember to charge and I will make it through the day unless I'm doing something really heavy. It is light and sleek, making it very easy to carry. It can multitask really well with plenty of power to be used. I have not personally tested it for video/photo editing but I have seen and heard that it can handle it with ease. Even a year later the design and chip still hold up well. I prefer the slight slant on it to a complete square like the new M2 MBA or 14/16 inch M1 Pro lineup. Its very comfortable. I have found that people can always hear me clearly through the mics. They sound quite well and I have used them many times for a video call without headphones. The speakers also sound very nice and can get loud enough for any use I can think of. The screen is great. The resolution provides a very clear and sharp picture. My one issue (and the reason I only rated the screen itself 4/5) is that the glass used for it, while high quality, does tend to pick up dust, hair, or any other small contaminate you can imagine, often from the lower body and keyboard and will just appear on the screen. Additionally, the glass picks up finger prints any time its touched, which includes the bezels that I find I will end up touching whenever I close, open, or adjust the lid. This is a very speedy laptop. When running an app that's been optimized for it, the app will run very smoothly and clean. The response is instantaneous. Any optimized app will open basically instantly, and even unoptimized ones can still do it fairly quickly. The Achilles heel of the laptop though is the OS. Mac OS is a great thing that has provided for a lot of great things once you learn to use it, but the lack of software support makes it difficult to use certain apps, most prominently, games. I can for sure say that this laptop has the power to run a lot of bigger games at the base configuration. But the OS itself is in the way. Apple needs to begin better optimizing the software for games, as well as other windows programs. Coming from a windows PC, I feel very limited as I look around at all of the programs I cant use. While there is often an equivalent that is better optimized for Mac, there are many that dont have an option.

Great gift for a love one in this time of the year

A standard wireless mouse is almost useless, disconnecting whenever any app is opened. The apple magic mouse stays connected, but is also almost worthless due to it's sensor positioning. Device would be 10,000 times better if it had a touchscreen.

The laptop was great I was super excited to get to take it home and connect everything and get started but sadly the brightness key broke. I was thrilled when Best Buy gave me amazing service and helped me get a new one the same day!!

Sleek, but very slow and underpowered. If you plan on using for anything rather than casual web browsing, it probably isn’t the laptop for you. Multiple tabs made it unusable.

I registered my business with the state website and couldn’t event retrieve an invoice. When I called about the receipt they said “oh you have a mac”. The computer isn’t user friendly. I couldn’t figure out little things like copying and pasting. I returned my computer for an Hp.

If you're a college student looking for a useful laptop, do not buy this one; majority of college professors use websites and teams that Mac cannot even download or hold.

Please stop providing me other customers personal information!!! I didn't make this purchase. I don't want to know who bought what, their names, addresses, email addresses, etc. Mishandling of personal information is BAD BUSINESS and opens the door for potential identity theft!

MacBook Air first time using apple product. man its different than windows. i can buy 2 windows laptops with similar performance. not sure why the cost is soo high?

It’s good as working ok. During delivery there is one crack. Waiting for updates.
