I've had this incredible product for approximately 1.5 years, and I can confidently say that I made the right choice when I switched from Windows to Mac. As someone who was initially skeptical about the transition, I was seeking a device that would primarily cater to my academic needs while also providing some entertainment value on the side. This Mac has exceeded my expectations in every way. One of the standout features of this device is its remarkable lightweight design, which has saved my back from the usual strain of carrying heavy laptops. Additionally, the battery life is impressive, often lasting over a whole day, based on my usage patterns. This kind of endurance is a game-changer, especially for students and professionals on the go. What truly sets this Mac apart is its impressive capability to run machine learning models faster than most laptops with high-end Intel processors. This processing power is a boon for anyone involved in data analysis, research, or machine learning tasks. The seamless performance and efficiency have made my academic work more productive and enjoyable. I've had zero complaints or issues with this device. It's been a reliable companion that has consistently delivered on its promises. The power, portability, and battery life make it a fantastic value for the money. To conclude, this Mac has proven to be an excellent investment for my academic and entertainment needs. If you're looking to switch from Windows to Mac and want a lightweight, long-lasting, and high-performance device, look no further. I can confidently recommend this product to anyone searching for a reliable and versatile computer that doesn't disappoint. It's a five-star winner all the way!

A solid notebook with a dated design

I personally purchased this same MacBook Air (MBA) but with 512GB of storage. It's the same exact unit. I liked it so much I purchased this one for my wife. She didn't need the extra GPU core or storage space. Overall, she has enjoyed this notebook more than the Wintel system we previously had. Apple's battery life estimates are more accurate, they're actually a little on the conservative side. Our previous Wintel systems (Dell XPS 13 2-in-1) were advertised with 14 hours of streaming battery life. The only way to hit that number was to turn the screen brightness down to 25%, turn off Bluetooth, flipping the screen around so the keyboard and trackpad were off, putting the system into power efficiency mode, and using MS Edge or the Netflix app (which limits streaming to 720p in Windows). Even then we couldn't ever fully get the 14 hours of advertised battery life and that was with 1080p notebooks. The MBA has a higher resolution display, a processor that performs better than the 11th gen Core i7 CPUs in our other units (that also had 16GB of RAM), and we can easily push 15 hours of real-world use with our systems. We no longer must bring a charging brick wherever we go. The battery life is longer if you just stream video content or play videos that have been downloaded. Another surprise with the MBA was the speaker quality. I'm not sure what Apple is doing but their speakers are better than what's in most 17" notebooks. The speakers in our previous 13" system were terrible, these put those to shame. Apple also put a faster SSD in these. Writing and reading large files take less time, the SSDs in our MBAs are almost 3X faster than our other systems (which were more expensive). The webcam is passible, I wish it were better. The image processor in the M1 helps with that though. Everyday performance with the 7 GPU M1 is fine, even for mobile gaming. macOS can now run iPad and iPhone apps, if the developers unlock them, and we haven't had any issues with that. 8GB of RAM is more than enough for everyday use with the M1. Even when we are stressing our systems, they only use 6GB of RAM. My only complaint is that the design is dated. It's essentially the same design that Apple released in 2018, just with a better keyboard. You get the same two USB4/TB3 ports, the same display, the same trackpad, the same physical webcam, and a better keyboard. I wouldn't normally have any issues with a classic design but it's almost 4 years old now and it has been cloned to death. Every other major PC maker has released a notebook that's a silver, dark gray, or gold slab of aluminum. I want color again with my PCs, like the old iBook G3 days. Even a white system would be different than the same three colors Apple has stuck with for far too long. The screen bezels are large, and the system is begging to be updated with a 14" display. Slimming the bezels while keeping the same form factor would allow for a 14" display, like Apple did with the 14" MacBook Pro. But, for the price of the system, it's hard to beat. The price-to-performance ratio of the baseline M1 MBA isn't matched with Windows notebooks and you get the added benefit of running macOS on Apple's hardware. It's powerful enough for photos and video editing yet efficient enough to last all day. This fan-less design is great and I'm excited to see what Apple does next.

I've been using my MacBook Pro for over a year now, and it's been a fantastic experience. For personal use, this device has been incredibly reliable and powerful. The Retina display is stunning, offering sharp and vibrant visuals that make everything from streaming videos to browsing the web a real pleasure. The build quality feels premium, and I appreciate how compact and lightweight it is, making it easy to carry around. The performance has been exceptional. Whether I’m multitasking or running more demanding applications, it handles everything smoothly without any slowdowns. The battery life is impressive, lasting long enough for most of my daily tasks without needing to plug in constantly. One of the things I love most about the MacBook Pro is how seamlessly it integrates with other Apple products. Everything from syncing with my iPhone to using AirDrop works effortlessly, which makes managing my digital life so much easier.

I recently purchased the Apple MacBook Air, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision. This laptop combines impressive performance with a sleek and lightweight design, making it a perfect companion for both work and leisure. The first thing that struck me was the stunning Retina display. The colors are vibrant, and the text is incredibly sharp, making every task a pleasure to work on. The laptop's performance is blazing fast, thanks to the M1 chip. It handles multitasking with ease, and I've experienced no lag whatsoever, even when running resource-intensive applications. The battery life is outstanding. I can go through an entire workday without worrying about finding an outlet, and when I do need to charge, it happens remarkably quickly. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the trackpad is precise and responsive. The MacBook Air's slim profile and lightweight design make it incredibly portable. Whether I'm on the go or working from home, it's easy to carry around. The build quality is top-notch, and it feels durable and reliable. The macOS ecosystem provides a seamless experience, and I appreciate the integration with my other Apple devices. The security features, like Touch ID, add an extra layer of convenience and peace of mind. In conclusion, the Apple MacBook Air is a remarkable laptop that excels in performance, design, and portability. It's a valuable investment for anyone in need of a versatile and powerful machine. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a new laptop.

Overall, I highly recommend the MacBook Air for most people, especially for those in the Apple ecosystem. Pros: M1 is amazing. Compared to the Intel i5 in my 2015 MacBook Pro, this processor is completely transformative. It's incredibly snappy, has instant-on from wake, far better efficiency and battery life. It's very thin and light. The keyboard is great. Touch ID is a nice feature. Cons: Only 8 GB ram. The 16 GB version would be a worthwhile upgrade, but it isn't available from BB. The screen is a little disappointing. The contrast at low brightness levels is slightly worse than my 2015 MacBook Pro. It would be nice if it had MagSafe and an HDMI port.

I bought the M1 version of the MacBook Air on sale for $749.99. I bought the base model because I felt the higher models wasn’t worth it for my needs. The base storage is too small. I also purchased an external hard drive to hold more data. This laptop is well-built and replaces my 2016 MacBook Pro. The thing I love about this new were version is the keyboard is much better, The battery last much much longer now on a single charge, The fingerprint ID is a nice addition and the pink color laptop is nice to look at. I hope this laptop will last me at least another 5 to 6 years before I have to replace it. It’s perfect for daily use for simple task and M1 chip is just wonderful.

I purchased this to use for recording music, and I have to say it's been excellent! The laptop is super fast, had plenty of storage, the picture quality is stunning for a lower end model, and it does everything I need it to do and more! The only thing it is lacking is more USB connectivity; however this can easily be accomplished with a USB hub. The battery life always amazes me, I have never owned a laptop that will go this long between charges (typically a few days with moderate us (using a DAW for recording music). I absolutely LOVE this MacBook Air!!

I recently purchased the MacBook Air from Best Buy, and I am thoroughly impressed. Right out of the box, the design of the MacBook Air stands out with its ultra-slim profile and lightweight build, making it the perfect companion for on-the-go tasks. The Retina display is stunning, offering vibrant colors and sharp text that is easy on the eyes during long work sessions. Performance-wise, this laptop is a powerhouse. Equipped with the latest Apple silicon, it handles everything from basic browsing to more intensive tasks like video editing with ease and efficiency. The battery life is phenomenal – I can go through an entire day of work without needing a charge. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, which is a huge plus for someone who types a lot. Another significant aspect is the macOS experience. It's user-friendly, secure, and integrates seamlessly with my other Apple devices, enhancing productivity and convenience. The speakers also deserve a mention for their clear and robust sound quality, which is impressive for a laptop of this size. In summary, the MacBook Air from Best Buy is an excellent investment for anyone seeking a blend of performance, portability, and premium build quality. It's well-suited for both professionals and casual users alike, making it a versatile choice in the laptop market.

I’ve had this laptop for almost 2 years now and it is absolutely amazing. My favorite investment. It’s very reliable, charges fast and stays charged for days and as a college student that is a very important factor for me. Storage wise, it’s standard amount is plenty. For my field of study I do a lot of writing, so I have a lot of files and still have plenty space left. It’s very fast, doesn’t run hot after hours of use and super lightweight.

M1 Macs are a Great Value in 2023

I was tired of using my heavy (but functional) 2009 MacBook Pro, which has dwindled to only about 3 hours of useful battery life. I was also tired of getting kinks in my neck from relying too much on my iPad (yeah, I can stand it up on a cushion but without a keyboard connected I was too often holding it like a bulky iPhone with the neck pain to show for it). I bought this 2020 MacBook Air (M1) because it was a great deal on clearance. In addition to vastly improved battery life — I only have to charge my MacBook Air every other day! — the early Apple Silicone Macs have the advantage of offering Rosetta (which means unlike future M2 models it can, for example, make use of Microsoft Office 2021 that also runs on Intel). I like how fast it is and the quality of the audio speakers and the screen. That said, this MacBook Air M1 freaked me out in that the first time I opened the laptop up it booted right away. I was asking myself if Apple was really crazy enough to eliminate the power button (like they eliminated the floppy disk and the optical drive back in the day, lol) until I realized that the TouchID button on the upper right serves the same purpose. This MacBook Air runs cold and quiet (no heat, no fans). It reminds me of using an iPad in that sense. Everything feels solid and well made. However, I was unprepared for the fact that the MacBook Air, when unboxed for the first time, smelled very strongly like mildew. C'mon Apple, would it kill you to put silica packs in the box considering that these products are made in extremely humid Southeast Asian countries? One negative is that there are only two ports on the side, including the charging port. Coming from the MacBook Pro I am accustomed to having options! I also would caution anyone buying a 2020 or later Mac to realize that everything internally is soldered together. There is nothing replaceable, not even the hard drive. If something fails, it's landfill waste. I guess that's one way to sell more AppleCare! Macs are becoming more and more like iOS devices every day, not just in terms of a similar GUI (macOS) but in terms of how they are constructed internally ("SoC"). I am happy with my first upgrade in many years but I suspect that within a year or so when first-generation Apple Silicone owners begin experiencing hard drive problems and learn that nothing is replaceable, the "honeymoon" will wear off. Apple should offset these changes by offering more generous amounts of RAM and higher hard drive capacity given that none of it is upgradable after the fact. (For example, the model I bought has a skimpy 256GB internal hard drive with 8GB RAM. Apple should offer no less than 512GB and 12GB RAM going forward.) For existing MacBook Air owners, repair/upgrade limitations are nothing new. But given that the M1/M2 extends these. limitations across the entire range of MacBook laptop and desktop products, there is less reason for the average user to buy a MacBook Pro anymore because you're not picking up a slew of extra ports or the ability to make upgrades/repairs internally, unlike the MacBook Pros from the Intel era. All in all if you buy these M1/M2 products in the understanding that they are essentially souped up iPads, you're good.

    Windows user’s first Mac

As someone who has used windows all their life, I was very hesitant too buy this because my experiences with macs (at school and at work) never really left me in awe. In fact, I hated how limiting they can be. Now as an owner, I still feel that way to some degree (a lot has been frustrating with the system) but the computer is very beautiful, fast, lightweight, the battery life is great, and so far I have not regretted the purchase. I still miss many aspects of my windows laptops, but I guess this will do for now.

This is my first MacBook Air. I was always a Windows user so it took a bit getting use to as far as commands for specific things but it was easy to figure out or look it up online. Battery life is phenomenal. The display is beautiful. This MacBook Air M1 is very fast. No lag time when using different software or surfing the web. The size of this is perfect and very light weight. The speakers are great. My only issue with it is MS Excel is really wonky. MS Word and OneNote works fine. Haven’t had use PowerPoint yet so I’m not sure if it works smoothly.

Worth every dollar! The laptop works flawlessly in every aspect. The laptops performance is super fast and buttery smooth. The display is so crispy! The only con for me was the factory color setting were a little monotone for me. If you want more color like me you can alter the color settings easily and make it pop a lot more. The exterior feels so premium and solid. Holding the laptop in your hands feels so premium, it will make you scared to hold it longer than 15 seconds at a time before putting it on a flat and secure surface. It feels a lot more expensive than the actual price of the laptop itself. Switching from windows to macOS was a little difficult at first, but with a little time it all blends together so intuitively and now it’s second nature to me working with macOS. Another plus, having a I phone and pairing your phone with your laptop so you can FaceTime and message while your doing work on your laptop is SOOO convenient!! That feature alone can be the selling point. The battery life is really decent. Definitely lasts up to the time stated in the product performance info. It can actually last longer sometimes depending on what apps your running. One big con for me is there are not a lot of ports on this laptop. It only offers two USB-C ports and a headphone Jack. However, you can buy a multiport attachment with hdmi, USB, USB-C, and SD card slot but it would have been nice to automatically have that as standard.

The Apple MacBook Air M1 is an exceptional laptop that delivers impressive performance and incredible power efficiency. Its integration of Apple's custom M1 chip brings a significant boost in speed and responsiveness, allowing for smooth multitasking and efficient handling of demanding tasks. The laptop's sleek design remains unchanged, featuring a stunning Retina display with vibrant colors and excellent clarity. The battery life on the MacBook Air M1 is outstanding, offering hours upon hours of usage on a single charge. Whether you're browsing the web, working on documents, or even engaging in light gaming, the battery easily keeps up with your needs. The keyboard is a pleasure to type on, providing a comfortable and responsive experience. The trackpad is large and precise, allowing for smooth and effortless navigation. The laptop also boasts excellent connectivity options, including Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports for fast data transfer and external display support. One downside to consider is the limited number of ports, which may require the use of adapters or hubs for some users. Additionally, the laptop's storage is not upgradable, so choosing the appropriate storage capacity at the time of purchase is crucial. Overall, the Apple MacBook Air M1 is a superb choice for anyone in need of a powerful and efficient laptop. Best Buy is great place to shop for electronics items I’ve been shopping for with Best Buy for last 5 years I love it every time i buy something great customer service. I brought MacBook Air M1 long lasting battery life & charges quickly, great screen quality for any kind of content , the screen is amazing, Touch ID is useful in many ways like Apple Pay/signing in, the laptop is fairly light, keyboard is awesome (it does have a click sound when you type), the trackpad is better and more useful, and much more! Great laptop and is great for college students like me! Cons: THE PRICE lol, no Microsoft office installed(you need to buy separately, you GOT TO buy a sleeve or case since this is a scratch magnet, the speakers are not so great(bass is like fuzzy) , the camera quality is 2/5(blurry and just not great), and the ports(there are only 2 on the left side and on the right side, there is the headphone jack. It is kind of annoying that you have to use one side for charging. Other than that, it's very reliable, lasting, stylish, and overall a great buy for an upgrade or a new selection! This was my first apple MacBook and I primarily got it since I need a reliable laptop for college.
