I have been a Pc user / Gamer for a long time and still own a nice Ryzen 7 3700x with a 5700xt system, I have owned apple laptops and desktops before but was never really impressed. So after the M1 was released I decided to try it again to see what all the talk was about and WOW it blew away many other systems I own and really held its own. No it was not faster than my gaming system but it did play games quite well and smooth for many games. It was able to perform in browsing, video editing, and Light to mid Gaming very well and from what I can tell will only get better as more companies provide support for arm. The really amazing part about this in my tests is it ran amazingly fast and did so with such a low power cpu and it was quiet I installed parallels and ran the arm version of windows and was able to play games like world of warships, sim city 4 and a few others with no issues. In the arm list of games that run on mac directly I ran a few games from Steam and world of warcraft all ran ok with no issues. Will all games work prob not, but it can game.

This is the best value for non-professional use. It's light and fanless (so no fan noise). But don't be fooled. It handles day to day activities like a champ. I bought it for $799. Nothing else comes close to the price to performance. Great battery life, screen, speakers, keyboard and touchpad

I originally bought this computer for college and it has been helping me get through all of my assignments a lot easier and faster. I love that it is fast and sleek. This laptop is definitely worth buying. I’m grateful that it had all of the Microsoft apps installed unlike my Chromebook I had prior.

Works very fast and its a sleek thin design. It has everything a college kid or average computer user would need. Beautiful on screen display. This macbook is the newest one out but i just heard apple announce a new macbook to release later this year. Its supposed to have many more color options and a new M1 chip thats faster and mor efficient. So if you can wait 4-5 months you can get the newest macbook air

I have a home PC but I wanted a laptop for on the go. All of my mobile devices are apple so I decided to go all in and purchase this to partner with the others. I'm not sorry I did. This has been the best purchase I've made in a while. Fast is all I can say. Even with only 8gigs of ram I'm able to run audio plugins and record in Logic with ease. Happy I went all in.

The MacBook Air is a perfect light computing device. The battery lasts for days, the CPU never gets hot, there's no fan so it is silent, the display is one of the best you can buy, the keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards, and the performance is amazing. A note about performance. I have a couple computers: the entry level MacBook Air -- 8 GB of RAM and the 256 GB SSD and a desktop with a Ryzen 5900X and 64 GB of RAM with a 1 TB NVMe drive with a 2000 MB/s write speed. That is not as fast as the SSD in the MacBook Air but it's not slow. For 3D printing, I use PrusaSlicer. On the Mac, a relatively simple but large model took 2.3 seconds to slice. On my Ryzen 5900X, it took 3.1 seconds. That's not a huge difference but the Ryzen processor costs nearly as much as I paid for the MacBook Air. I only got the MacBook Air to use for mostly light tasks but the fact that it performs well above its entry-level class is a huge bonus. This entry level computer can, in many tasks, keep up and even surpass high-end processors. Now, there are many things I can do faster with the Ryzen 9 (e.g., something that can make use of all 24 threads) but with this an entry-level laptop, Apple hit a home run. I'm never going back to Windows-based laptops.

I liked it much more than i thought i would. The main appeal is the light weight, screen quality and long battery life. All things my gaming pc could never provide. I at first was annoyed with usb type c but the brightside is only having to carry one charger for my android phone and computer and dslr is pretty incredible. For its size and capacity i am amazed at how well this handles photoshop and steam. Its not going to change the world or make me abandon my gaming desktop but when tight on storage this is amazing. The down side is the m1. It's a gift and a curse. Benefit is speed and battery with no heat production. It's whisper quiet. The bad is the architecture.. all Mac apps in the last year were designed with Intel in mind so prepare to have to do without due to compatibility issues or suffer through Performance issues. All in all i picked this up during tax free weekend and with a student discount so at that price i am very satisfied with my purchase. The low storage space and incompatibility issues knock down what would otherwise be a perfect score. Apple overcharges for upgrades that would cost an extra 50 bucks on a windows pc and it's time for backlash. It really alienates their customers and drives away enthusiasts but that's in the eye of the beholder

I was on the fence about purchasing it.....if that's you too don't hesitate and get this! I can do so many things with this all at once and it doesn't slow down. extremely happy with my purchase and recommend this little beauty to all others.

This Macbook Air is excellent! It's super fast, has plenty of storage, and I love the space grey color. It also has a great battery life, and it is much more affordable than other Apple laptops. Overall, I think it's the perfect computer for a college student.

I had a 2017 macbook air which got damaged due to water, it would work but only if the charger was connected, when apple released this new macbook air with m1 chip, I bought it, this is probably the best laptop I ever had, faster then earlier macbook and windows laptops, can open multiple sessions without this ever slowing down, battery life is excellent, I get minimum two days out of it, I am very happy with the purchase

Not very bad in general. The built is good. Battery is what M1 claims. It lasts very long time. The Macbook Air has a premium touch. I like the hardware a lot. Offering very good daily driver machine: light weight, high performance, long lasting battery and very nice looking. And that's it. The Operating System (iOS) is very bad... Honestly. I think for people who are using Apple from their day one, it is ok since they don't know what other OS providers can offer. I use Windows, Linux (Mint), ChromeOS and iOS for long enough... I honestly like the Linux Mint the most, next the Chrome OS, and Apple iOS is in the same position with Microsoft (win11). I may try to install Linux on my MacBook air. Maybe. Do I recommend? Maybe. Some people know only iOS. It integrates well with all Apple products. Which is very good.

The MacBook M1 is an absolute game-changer! Its remarkable speed, battery life, and sleek design make it a true powerhouse. Switching from Intel to Apple's M1 chip was a brilliant move, resulting in a smooth and efficient experience. It's the best laptop I've ever owned.

This has been an amazing computer! The memory and speed are everything I needed to start my business! I bought one for my son to send off to college with as well. He loves his. We had the use the Apple Care once to fix his screen. Great buy! Now I have to buy another because my care was broken into and it was stolen.
