Bought open box unit and setup with mac os. Mac air is very fast and smooth. You have to buy dongles for everything. Same problem with pro models also. Dongles are adaptors to convert from thunderbolt port to sd card, hdmi, regular usb and anything else you need. This unit is the same as the m2 model except for the charging cord.

The overall purchase experience was excellent. Was delivered on time to which I appreciate. The only issue I have is with the trade in. I was given an estimate that I was trading my MacBook Air in for the gold. Since my MacBook was delivered I had to ship in the trade which I knew something that could go wrong would go wrong. I called Apple to have my trade in wiped clean of all my data. Took videos just in case and shipped it in. About a week later I got an email telling me that the computer was broken and it doesn’t start up properly and that my trade in value is now $0 of course. I’m currently still waiting on a response from that department. So just beware of doing a trade in. Pick it up in store and bring in the trade in so that you can see what’s being done.

I love this Laptop, it is so sleek and portable and perfect for college students. I love how easy the user experience is and its compatibility with my cell phone.

The computer I purchased works great now. There were some glitches and the store manager (Joseph in the Thousand Oaks CA store) was great and very supportive and was able to resolve the issues. The "Geek" department has much to be desired and needs an attitude adjustment. I think they forget that their role is to be supportive. Overall I am pretty happy with the purchase. Really amazed at how the laptop manages the 8GB of memory with the Apple Silicon M1 chip. I find I'm able to do all my tasks with relative ease and speed. I also have an M1 Mac Mini and a iPhone 13pro and everything integrates with each other really well! Still happy 8 months later.

Absolutely great lsptop. You can spend more, but won’t really be any better!

This is an excellent deal for anyone. While 256 GB may seem small, it is very functional compared to a PC. Mac OS does not take up the same amount of space, so you are fine. You can easily run Microsoft Office or Google Docs with this machine. Along with this, you get a FREE productivity suite with your machine. All Macs come with Pages, Numbers, Keynote, GarageBand, and iMovie. The first three are very useful application and fit 99% of users. GarageBand is great for those wanting to kick off a podcast and iMovie is a very capable video editor. I would highly recommend cloud storage. Apple’s iCloud is my top choice for price and now that you can fully encrypt your information. For $12 per year you get 50GB, $35 per year you get 200GB and 2TB for $99. Another great choice in Microsoft 365 Home or Personal. Both come with Office on and offline. Along with this, users get 50GB of email storage and 1TB of OneDrive storage. With M365 Home you get 6 accounts each getting what is listed above for $79 per year. Hope this was helpful
