Works great!! It’s been more than two years now and still works like new.

Looks identical to my 2018 MacBook Pro but is light years faster! When my old Mac Mini "died" I decided to replace it with one of Apple's new M1 computers. I wanted a minimum of a 512 gb SSD and 8 gb of RAM. Other than that, either a MacBook Air, Pro or Mac Mini would be fine. I got a great deal on an open box MacBook Pro and could not be happier. I was initially a bit concerned about compatibility issues with software since the M1 laptops are based on an ARM processor. As things turned out, none of my applications have experienced any problems whatsoever. I should mention that I primarily use the laptop for business related purposes and do rely on Microsoft Office for quite a bit of my work. No problems there as the newly updated Office is optimized for the M1 Macs. My only gripe is the omission of the two Thunderbolt/USB C ports from the right side of the laptop on the new model. They were there on the Intel versions providing a total of 4 ports. I dealt with the issue by using a port extender that gives me the needed ports while plugging directly into the 2 USB C ports on the left side of the laptop. This resulted in a neat and tidy solution that takes up hardly any space! The new MacBook Pro also has the much improved (butterfly) keyboard that was missing on my 2018 MacBook Pro. This was the biggest problem I experienced on the old machine. All in all, I do not think you can go wrong with the new M1 Macs....so long as you do not have a software compatibility issue. If you need a new laptop now, go for it. If you do not have an immediate need, you may wish to wait for the next update to the M1 family which should come out later in 2021.

Great Mac with amazing performance for the specs, the battery life is phenomenal, and the amount of work I am able to get done is amazing. I use to bring my bulky charge with me with my old laptop because the battery life would last me about 4 hours max, now I can go all day without a charger and still have plenty of battery for the next day.

We purchased this MacBook Pro and really like the Touch Bar, very fast, and easy to use! Very happy!

It’s refreshing to return to using a MacBook after being forced to use a PC for work. I had so many problems with my PC’s processing capabilities, causing programs to crash. Even though this MacBook doesn’t have top-of-the-line RAM (only 8 GB), the M1 chip is awesome and I’ve had zero problems since making the switch back. Also, the built in speakers are really nice!

Super fast. Great battery life. Would prefer one or two additional usb C ports.

Upgraded from a MacBook Air to a much newer MacBook Pro. The cost difference between the new Air and Pro is minimal. Glad I upgraded to the Pro. Love the Touch Bar feature and Touch ID. Not much information on this feature online but it it's my favorite feature of the Pro over the Air. Size of the Pro is much more compact than previous versions, similar to my older Air. Go with the Pro, you won't be disappointed.
