Customers consistently note the MacBook Pro's excellent battery life, impressive performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the convenient Touch Bar, while some find the limited port selection and non-upgradable RAM to be drawbacks. Positive feedback also highlights the powerful M1 chip and the sleek design. A few users mention heat as a concern, though many report minimal overheating.

fantastic machine. the battery life is amazing. I can't imagine this isn't far and away the finest laptop ever built. so smooth and fast. with the exception of your wifi limitations, this thing operates in real time absolutely no lag or delay. and the key stroke compared to the last gen MacBook Pro is a great improvement. Perhaps a little more costly but for what you get worth every penny.

This is my first MacBook, so I do not have a significant comparable for it. The speed is just as good if not better than any Windows machine I have had out of the box. The battery life is fantastic compared to my Lenovo laptop. I appreciate the ease of the Apple eco system as I also use an iPhone, watch, HomeKit devices, etc. migrating from PC, I would like to have more onboard ports, and not use peripheral equipment. All in all though, I am completely satisfied so far

Light weight and perfect for my current needs. Battery life is amazing. Only down side is my mic is no longer compatible with the usb like my old MacBook. So I do have to buy an adapter to record my podcast. Like always apple gets it done for me overall.

This is my first apple Computer ever, I've had a lot of computers over the last 28 plus or minus years. Now I understand the hype especially if you already have other apple products, kind of kicking myself for not getting one sooner. Everything about this computer is lightning fast compared to the 7 other computers I have. For basic computing tasks this thing is more than I need, however it is awesome because I'm not stuck waiting for Windows to finish updating/ rebooting. Just open the lid of the Mac and you're ready to work, surf, play or watch a movie. Speaking of this screen is beyond beautiful, I have a 2 year old Sony 75 inch 4k UHD tv I paid 3k for and this beats its picture by a mile. Stunning doesn't even come close to how awesome this display is. One thing I'm looking forward to doing is installing some of my CAD Software and seeing how it compares to my old HP that I have used for nearly 10 Years. while I no longer use CAD software for my job, but I do like designing, rendering and milling out stuff so I'm excited to see how it works. Also every laptop I've had regardless of brand ie HP, Dell, Acer, Asus... etc have NOTHING on this battery life! I honestly thought 20+ hours of battery life was a bunch of BS to be quite frank. But let me tell you it is far from BS. I bought this laptop on 7/25/21 as a birthdays present to myself, I didn't charge it again until 7/30/21, you have to remember I haven't had a Mac before, so I was doing a lot fiddling and figuring out, so nothing to stressful on this system well except for installing some games, and other programs. But none the less this battery life is incredibly. I highly recommend this computer to ANYONE!

I actually had a 16GB version for my business and reasigned that one and started using this one with only 8GB ram. This is probably the best pro laptop out there right now! You can easily edit 4k videos, code pretty much anything, and do any other tasks with the M1 chip. I chose this over the Macbook Air because of the slightly longer battery life and built in cooling fan; that will matter when you do anything strenuous over a period of time.

I am a "lifelong" windows user. For one of my assignments, i was provided with a MBP (intel based) to work on. Oh boy, how i loved working on macbook. Within a week, got myself my personal macbook (silicon M1 chip based). This machine is crazy responsive. No lags, no heating.. (i know what it means when your laptop doesn't throw waves of hot summer heat ;) )

This is my 6th Mac in 20+ years, and the first one to get 4 stars only. It's not about quality of hardware or software, but about choices that Apple made. These choices broke my workflow. First, the hardware. The M1 MBP 13" model only has 2 USB-C ports on one side, as opposed to the Intel model, which has 4 ports, two on each side. I cannot, for example, plug in two USBs at the same time, but this is not the only inconvenience. Then, the new OS Big Sur. I can still format an external drive as "Extended Journaled" but not "encrypted". This is vey inconvenient, I was planning to use my new Mac interchangeably with my old ones and a few backup hard drives. Now, it's not really "interchangeably". Then "APFS encrypted" did not work for a thumb drive, no matter how many times I tried. There is bloatware, too. That's new from Apple. I do not need Apple News and I always delete it from all my Macs and iPhones. But this is impossible on Big Sur. Apple News is part of the protected "rootless" part of the OS and I cannot delete it. Another thing, plugging in a DVD reader was very painful. It took repeated tries until it finally worked. Just to compare "apples and apples", I tried the same DVD reader on my 2012 MBP and it worked like a charm. Still about DVD, the "burn folder do disk" Finder menu item is gone. I still have to figure out how to burn folders to discs, but it looks like I have to use some 3rd party software. I am not complaining about having to buy a DVD reader. I like having a lighter Mac and a separate DVD reader/burner, to be used on a as-needed basis. However, the lack of native DVD burning is a big letdown from my 2012 MBP.

First time owning a Macbook. Still getting used to it but like all other apple products it works seamless with all my other apple devices. Going between phone and macbook is easy. Works great with my apple tv when airplaying to the tv. If you are used to using apple devices it will not take you longer to figure out how this works. Apps open quick. The performace is great. Display is clear and visuals are great as well.

Great laptop. Great Performance. It should have at least 4 ports. 2 are not enough. Also, it should be able to support multiple external monitors, not one. Storage and ram upgrades are overpriced. Bezels look ancient with respect to some modern laptops.
