This MacBook is quite fast but with its limited amount of RAM, it will quickly start using your Solid state drive as a buffer and solid state drives wear out over time. I found it to be quite snappy until I started opening a lot of tabs in any browser. Interestingly, the new M2 with 24gb of RAM doesn’t exhibit this problem.

The new M1 chip is crazy fast. I love my older MacBook Pro but it had issues overheating. So far this smaller but faster version is tough enough to make it through long days of work.

Got this for video editing and portability. Good amount of storage and runs great. Definitely recommend getting a usb adapter for flashdrives, SD cards, and to be able to connect it to hdmi.

Notice significant improvements with the M1 chip. Would have preferred 16GB memory yet not available at the time in stock. Best Buy had the M1's available when Apple didn't. So glad to have it.

Fast and the new M1 chip seems to be help with battery life. Catalina OS is a beast if you want to try and put it on an older machine, like the 2017 MacBook Pro this replaced.

Really have enjoyed this... it’s a worthwhile upgrade. The battery life has been fantastic! And the processor is pretty quick! Really don’t know if much more is needed from a laptop... nice job!

Got this for my granddaughter who is an artist going to Parsons Art School in NY. She says it's perfect for her needs. Good speed, good memory, very good display for her art projects.

This is the first MacBook I've owned, I have a 2014 Mac mini that I still use but I've heard a lot of good things about Apple's new M1 chip. I am currently typing this review on the 2021 MacBook Pro, and I must say there isn't anything I've found that I don't like yet! It is very fast/responsive, it has synced up nicely with my iPhone, I haven't tried to use sidecar with my iPad Air 4 yet (but soon)! Even the wifi speeds are pretty incredible! I managed to snag this on a Best Buy sale for $150 off, if you're in the market for a new laptop and are considering either the MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, either would be a great choice in my opinion.

Excellent Product! Apple at its best. Very fast, light weight, and the graphics are prime time. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a sleek performance with a lot of speed.

This laptop is amazing, as a computer science student it is great for the graphic and processor intense projects I need to complete. Battery life and display are amazing.

Beautiful display, lightning speed, and fun "extras" like the touch pad that you don't get anywhere else! Bought it 5 days ago and haven't had to charge it yet!

My wife loves this… got a great deal on Best Buy. She can do almost everything with this and my daughter hates the fingerprint unlock. Gives us a safety net.

This laptop runs great and has no issues running Parallels so I can use both windows and Mac OS. I am able to do everything I need to do quickly and I am very happy!

This is by far the best laptop I have ever owned. Extremely fast processor, lots of memory, and easy setup and operation. Customer service was excellent. Very pleased with the purchase.

Apple nailed it. Faster, lighter better overall than previous intel based MacBooks pro. Makes me regret buying 16” MacBook Pro last year and not waiting for M1 version.

My sixteen daughter is amazed with her new MacBookPro. The new M1 Chip rocks! And it is much lighter and thinner than her previous one. She is really happy to carry it to school!

This MacBook is very fast but has some design flaws in my opinion, and there are some bugs which cause it to crash and randomly shut off. I've noticed these so far when using programs like Adobe Premiere Pro and FL Studio. Premiere Pro in particular has a weird bug that any editor will notice within 5 minutes of using the software. I'm sure it's something they will work out in the next few updates, but as an editor who bought this machine to edit, it's frustrating. And the random crashes even more so. Also the fact that there are just two micro USB ports and a headphone port is frustrating. I understand wanting to be sleek but I need adaptors to plug anything into this machine, and I can't use my adaptor if I'm using power chord and display at the samer time, I have to chose between, making editing rather nightmarish at times when I'm running low on juice. I do not recommend this for any kind of video editing where having external monitors, sound and hard drives plugged in while also working for longth lengths of time is crucial.
