Bought as a christmas present for some kids and they like the game. Graphics are excellent and the story is intriguing. The voices are not the same as the movies but you get passed it pretty quick, and they keep adding DLC content to keep the game fresh.

It's good game for a first time in such a big game fun for all heroes to have a different move lots of fun

On release this was a 1 star game. It launched with game-breaking bugs, horribly designed multiplayer, no end-game content for continuous play, over-priced cosmetics, a senseless gear system, and no defined plan to get any better. It had inexplicably shallow content for an IP with over 80 years of history and content to draw from and particularly poor game design for what could/should an amazing Avengers cooperative experience. We're over a year since release, there are still plenty of bugs with each update, horribly designed multiplayer with very limited progression systems, over-priced cosmetics, a slightly better but not well designed gear system, the same replayability issues, and no defined plan for the future. We have a few new characters, a few more hours of the fun, mostly single-player, story mode that is much less buggy than release, and fun multiplayer fights that get stale when you have to do them over and over and over again. If you're an Avengers fan and can get this on a steep discount, $20 or less, then it's worth it for the story mode alone and for the occasional team-up with friends. Because it is pitched as a live-service game there is plenty of potential for this game to get better. Unlike other live-service games there is very little communication from the dev team, no calendar of events, and no schedule of upcoming content (the latest note from the dev was that they would release the next roadmap "early 2022"). Going into the 2nd year and the developer has yet to prove they have a plan or the ability to make a truly great cooperative game. The combat system is fun but you can only get so much out of it when you're up against the same enemies (AIM), with the same objectives, and only a handful of named super villains (Abomination, TaskMaster, Scientist Supreme, Klawe....). If they have the publisher support and money/resources to design a few replayable game modes then this game could still potentially be a 5 star Avengers experience. Fingers crossed that it will get there. As it stands, it's a bargain bin game with fun combat that is held back by poor game design. It gets an extra star because it's a Marvel IP. Even though this game is getting bashed badly this game is a lot of fun. It looks really good to.

The single-player campaign is a blast and is well-worth the playthrough. The best part is that future DLC will all be free, and it will include more single-player missions for the DLC characters. Unfortunately, the multi-player is a mess. Not really all that fun and there's a lot they need to do to improve it. Good news is that I think they will do just that! So enjoy single player for now, and give it six months to a year for them to improve multi-player!

I loved the story the game had to offer. Each character brings something different to the table. Having played much coop so I cant speak on that regard. But single player is enough to pick up this game alone.

Picked up the game on the pre Black Friday deals. Bought to play with people I know that have it as well

The story won't blow you away, but it is great fun to run around as a superhero with friends. Excited for DLC

Too bad they missed the chance to make a great game. I got it to play on the PS5 and it works, not only on PS4. But the game was intended to work as a cash grab, with concepts I strongly dislike, like Loot, Crafting, Modding, etc. Developers created a vast universe of cosmetics and non-sense that do not add any value to the game. It just makes it repetitive and shallow. If that effort was placed on better storytelling, boss battles, mechanics it would've been a huge hit. Shame that they got Marvels license to this wonderful characters and missed.

This game is great! I have played through the whole campaign and some multiplayer and enjoy both. The story is amazing. Can’t wait for more content to come

Didn't keep my son's interest like I thought, but the graphics were pretty good I think?

A really fun game to play, love using all the different avengers. Not sure what the endgame will be like.

A great story with some twists along the way. The grind is a tall task but the combat makes it worth it.

Holy moly this game is even more fun than I was expecting. if you loved Spiderman, you will love this also.. & now with the PS5 upgrade, it's even better. Totally recommend this game. Lots of fun.

PS4 Marvel Avengers game is awesome and fun to play with lots of excitement. My son and I enjoy playing this together and the games surely depicts the movie and scenes and characters well.

It’s clear this game was made with online play in mind and the single player story being added as an afterthought. There are definitely enjoyable characters and moments but the gameplay can feel like the same grind as you work through endless robot armies. There is a good game in here somewhere, hopefully Avengers 2 will give the single player story justice.

Love the Avengers and this game is great. Other than being a little repetitive, I've really enjoyed!

Especially by now that the patches are coming out, this game is getting real good. Story and character wise, I am enjoying the story and voice-acting. I am all in but taking my time with this gem.
