Just did my first load with this washer and it takes a long time on the Normal cycle. Start to finish was about 1 hour 15 minutes and it wasn't even a full load. Don't like the auto sensor either. Makes weird noises too.

Either not enough water to cover wash load, or, other option is to completely fill with water. Takes forever because with either option it spends 10 minutes “Sensing” how much water it should use. Dumb. Maytag, I’m pretty sure I can handle deciding how much water to use, thanks.

Machine is kinda cheaply made. 3 yes in the bottom brakes and causes the machine to sound like a jet engine with a cinder block in it. No repair for this.

This washing machine broke almost immediately but warranty service fixed fast so I give the credit for that. The washer does not have a quick cycle so you are forced to wait 40+ minutes for all cycles. Recently, it goes not of balance on the spin cycle no matter how carefully you load. Not a great product. The previous LG I had was much better.

takes too long to wash, series has lots of issues, make sure to buy the squadgeek warranty, we used an old maytag washer for 10 years and we are used to maching to make noise and wash dirty clothes, but this new model first will spin and weight the clothes then just add barely water, then once you close the lid, it will be locked on cant be opened. make sure to level the washer and if using hot water make sure you have hot water. also the connections must be correct as the drain hose must be at require level (some people have the drain lower as we did , and this machine wont drain if how its not at require level).

I bought mine two years ago my niece told me when I showed it to her that she had the same machine and hated it I should’ve listened but for a while it was fine , now it doesn’t spin my clothes come out wet even if it’s a couple of items and its very loud it takes me forever to wash a load i would not recommend

1. Washer does not cover clothes in water- this may seam like a great energy efficient feature, and it is. However when you can find a tissue in your pant pocket that never got wet after the whole process of washing is over you then have to question if your clothes are getting cleaned. There is a cycle where you can add to water levels. It didn’t change the process at all. Clothes still were not immerse in water. 2. Bulky cycle didn’t drain properly. I have had the washer less then a week and the bulky cycle left my blankets soaked as if the washer hadn’t drained properly. 3. Too much money for this washer with such bad reviews, heed the warning

Purchased a bad apple. Comes with 10 year LIMITED warranty. Oh thats Great! By the way my part is not covered. The appliance repair man said the electronic board is bad and it will be $400+ to repair. Ok its a little less than purchasing a new one. Oh by the way the electronic boards are out of stock on this model and it can take 4-5 weeks to come in from Maytag. So im back to looking for a new washing machine. Fix the problem MAYTAG and maybe you want run out of parts. I was flooded during hurricane harvey and money was scarce so i didnt have an extra $200 for an extended warranty. Moral of the story. If you purchase this product get the extended warranty. You may have to wait a month for the part to come in but at least you want have to dispose of a giant paper weight.

After so many issues with the Maytag Bravos XL washer, you think we would have learned!!! Bought this Maytag MVWC565W washing machine a little over a week - it worked great and I loved it. Then, on normal cycle it would not wring water out of towels. Next time, it would work great. Danced all over the laundry room on wringing cycle - no I did not over load it. Then I decided to try and wash a very small bathroom mat - by itself. It did not rinse the mat out at all - so I put it on the "drain & "spin" cycle - big mistake. I took the dripping mat outside to dry. When I came back inside guess what? The washing machine was running all by itself - even after it said "Done" and the lid unlocked. Unbelievable. I had to unplug it to stop it from running. Bestbuy picking it up tomorrow and bringing me another washer in another brand. What has happened to Maytag? So disappointed in our last two Maytag products. Last Maytag we will ever buy. Not what they use to be at all.

I purchased this washing machine one month ago. You shouldn't buy it. I was told I couldn't go wrong with Maytag. It doesn't clean my clothes at all. I can wash 5 black shirts and it won't even remove a little white deodorant from the armpits. I can wash a small load of white towels, and they're still filled with detergent when it completes, regardless of how much or how little detergent I use. I've tried every setting combination. I've followed Maytag's loading directions in response to others complaints about this exact issue. It doesn't matter what I do, I have to wash the clothes once with detergent, then three times without, just to get the detergent out. I'm currently handwashing all underwear and shirts because having this machine is like having nothing. I can't believe it. I honestly can't believe I spent so much money for such a terrible appliance. I'm sick over it. Best Buy wasn't any help, they gave Maytag's number. Maytag just doesn't answer the phone. It just plays music and puts you on hold indefinitely. Maytag, don't reply with your service number as if you are offering some level of customer service. You aren't. You would have to answer the phone to do that!

Bought a Maytag washer, I was surprised at the capacity. It works great, it was a good buy from their outlet store.

Just purchased a brand new Maytag washer/dryer combo, which replaced our 26 year old Sears Kenmore (may she rest in peace). The new shiny "heavy duty" 4.2 cubic feet washer is absolute JUNK. On day 2 of ownership is stopped spinning and emitted a burnt electrical smell. While the pump drained the bin the unit would not spin. After letting the motor cool for 30 minutes we started the spin cycle and it worked, but continued to emit the burning smell and then stalled again. Best Buy is making us wait 5 days to get a replacement, and I really don't want another one of these poorly engineered units in my house!!! I'm SO disappointed and wish I had my old Sears Kenmore back. I'm going to install the replacement machine and if any more problems occur this Maytag crap is going back to Best Buy!!! highly suggest you buy anything else.

Purchased this less than 6 months, just stopped turning on. Technician from the company’s warranty took a month to fix it and stop working again the next day and told us they will come out to look at it in two more weeks. Horrible experience. Trust me bad product and worst service. After they have your money , you are screwed!

This review is way overdue since we purchased the washer awhile ago but it's getting more and more frustrating. It's the worst washer I've ever owned. I don't know how people can give it five stars. #1 - it doesn't have a cycle end buzzer (which for the amount of money paid it should have) so you're constantly guessing on when the load is done. #2 - EVERY wash cycle takes at least 45 minutes even if the clothes aren't that dirty. There is no short cycle wash, the washer I had before this one (it was a Whirlpool) had a short 20 minute wash cycle which, again, for the money spent on this, it should have. #3 - and this is the worst - it leaves a nasty lint residue on all dark clothes, I've tried cleaning out the lint traps and it doesn't help at all. I've tried doing a double rinse cycle and it doesn't help at all. I have to to a total rewash with detergent and spray the lint residue with Shout to even get 90% of the lint off from the first wash. If I could give this zero stars I would. Don't waste your money on this. I honestly can't wait for it to break so I can get a different brand.

Dont buy this washer. Put up with the clanking n banging as the water goes on n off sensing. Clothes come out n knots. Filling up less n less now nothing. Lights on no movement got a load of wet clothes that need to go to the laundry mat. They look nice though be future lawn ornament

Always breaking down thank goodness i paid for the extended warranty

We have now bought two of these the last two years. Both have broken and the repair costs more than buying a new one. Once again ours is broken. Its super disappointing. We have decided to stay away from Maytag now.
