so far no issues almost 3 yrs later on this machine.

Hard to get used to new technology. A tad noisy. Nice to have water saving option.

This washing machine is very good for the price. The only challenge is that it tends to be tough on delicate clothes. Sometimes get torn if they are put in normal mode because of the spindle at the center

Very easy to use. All the setting are very easy to understand. This is a very nice washer.

I wanted a simple washer without a lot of digital stuff with an agitator, and this fit the bill exactly. It's huge and fits so much! No issue putting my king size quilt in there and it's awesome!

I missed the old style agitator machines. Maytag brought it back. It cleans great. Those low eco models are terrible. Still had to hand wash and then throw it in to wash. I highly recommend this machine.

Washer seems to wash our clothes well and is quieter than our hold washer. Had it for over a month.

I’m not sure it really gets the clothes clean or not. I almost can never get my clothes submersed in water, even on the “deep wash” setting. Deep wash should mean deep wash.

Having 11 cycles took a little getting used to but we'll worth it. The clothes came out noticeably clean and fresh. The sales associate Shawn at the Best Buy in duarte took me over to the open box section and I was able to make the purchase.

Seriously? I don't think water in the drum is getting filled up above the clothes level and load of clothes is medium. Looks like mine is a defective piece as i see in the below youtube video that drum is getting filled up above the clothes level with deep water wash. It’s nice having a new washing machine however within the first week it broke down - no power to the computer board. Makes me miss the old style without the computer. Fortunately it’s under a 1-year manufacture warranty and the repairman mentioned that this happens with most new Maytags but it should be good for years now that it has the new computer board. The fact that the repairman knows this is a recurring issue with Maytag is troubling. This machine doesn’t allow you to fill up the machine with water and soak your clothes. *If you open the lid when it fills, it drains ALL of the water and you have to start over!!!! I asked Maytag about this feature and she said all of the washing machines do that. Makes me miss the old one - again!!! So I throw in my black work pants for a wash and they come out with soap stains all over them. I call Maytag and they ask a few questions: Did you use High Effieciency soap? Yes Did you use warm water? No - they’re BLACK pants *I use warm water and they still have soap stains Did you use the 2-rinse cycle? No - I’m saving water She said I have to follow all those steps in order to avoid soap stains on my clothes. Then why offer other settings!??!!??! Now, I must follow ALL of those steps to clean my clothes properly. What a waste of water! I cannot ever use cold water with this machine. Had I known all of this would occur I gladly would have paid to repair the old Maytag!!!!

I've already had several repairs on this machine, all related to the transmission. You can't control the water level, it's all automatic and the "Deep water wash" only works on certain cycles. I'm really disappointed in the Maytag brand and I WILL NOT buy another. For the price and the features, it's a decent value but MAKE SURE you buy an extended warranty either from Bestbuy or Maytag. The transmission repair I had done would have cost me around $500 and the machine was just out of manufacturers warranty. If I didn't have a warranty I would have just had to buy a new machine. Bestbuy's delivery and warranty both get an A+.

Using the HE water option, the clothes don't get covered with water. I have the options set for deep water which defeats the purpose of having a high efficient machine.

Only had this washer a few months but so far it has been great. Opening is very big and able to handle large loads. Very please with this washer so far and would recommend

I have had a front-loading HE washer for years, and too often had to rewash clothes that still smelled bad or that actually had dirt left in the folds of the clothing because the clothes never fully opened up during the wash cycle. The dirt simply got trapped and had no way to be washed out. I wanted an "old school" washer, with an agitator, that would really get my clothes clean like my washer used to 15 years ago. This washer has exceeded my expectations!! I was worried that since it wasn't a front loader, my comforters and oversized things wouldn't fit, but I was wrong! The capacity is at least what my HE washer was, and in fact seems like it's more. Everything I have washed has come out smelling and looking clean! I'm so pleased with this purchase!

We did a lot of research and talked with a number of sales people before purchasing. We love the new washer -- great capacity and ability to handle different load sizes.

Great price for a hard working , no frills washer!
