Only reason I gave it a four star is because I'm short and the washer is pretty deep, so I actually need a step stool to reach an get to my clothes out.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer works fine enough but a few weeks ago it started squealing any time it would go in to the Spin cycle (loud enough that my wife could hear it upstairs). Since the washer is still within the 1 year Maytag warranty, I scheduled a service call. The technician came out yesterday, tipped the washer over and showed me some oil on the laundry room floor. He said it was the Gear Box and that he will need to replace the following: - drive hub kit - drive pulley - actuator - gearcase - drive belt - pulley shield He said these parts are well over $500. Good thing I caught this before the Maytag warranty ran out. So disappointed in Maytag quality for a newly purchased item.

I can’t understand the backlash this washer gets. It is fantastic we are a 5 person family my wife and I along with the kids all are very active. We run mutuel washes a week to include very dirty sporting equipment and we haven’t had a single issue. Great washing machine
