Ordinary performance for three person household until sealed transmission failed in March 2021. (Who knew washers have transmissions?) Loud screeching, burning smell, leaking oil. Exceeded one year warranty. Best Buy would not repair without buying a service plan. Maytag repair cost more than a new washer. We now have to buy a new washer. Service technician admitted that service life of washers has declined, but this is ridiculous!

Not sure what to do as I love the dryer that matches the washer.
