Not quite what I was hoping for. I really like the old fill the bucket with the selected size wash and know that all the clothing gets wet and washed. Clothing seems clean but only with the washer always on the deep wash setting. The auto sensing never has enough water to get even half the clothes wet. It definitely takes a lot longer for a full wash to complete than my old basic washer, so this makes me think more energy is used and therefore is not conserving any energy. Only the water used may be less but I would rather have more water used and know I am getting clean clothes than using more energy. It is also quite a bit louder than my old washer which surprises me. When draining, it sounds like it is leaking down inside of my wall, although it is not.

We replaced our last Maytag (which lasted a good long time) with this one, and it's definitely a step up. The capacity is great and operation is simple. My only complaint is that loads take longer to wash than the last one, but what are you gonna do?

It does a very good job of cleaning clothes but I do not like that there is no dispenser for the detergent, you have to put it in the bottom of the washer and put clothes on top of it. You cannot add water first as I have always done with other washers. Also it is the loudest washer I have ever owned. It almost sounds like a jack-hammer. I would not buy another one like this again.

I love that when the clothes come out of the washer, they have been skinned appropriately. Doesn’t take long to dry in the dryer or elsewhere.

Bought the same washer I was replacing due to the bearing going bad. Bought the same make due to parts are available in the U S plus it is assembled here as well. Didn’t need all the unnecessary options just basic simple wash options. Best Buy salesperson very helpful in our decision. Maytag/Whirlpool has been in this business many years. Do your research. Samsung may do very well with phones and electronics not so well with appliances.

The old unit that we had for 23 years was quieter. This one shakes more and is more noisy.
Dryer seems fine.
Overall it seems ok.
Geek squad appointments were 7 days out.
Emailed Andrea at the Polaris facility in Columbus, Ohio but never got a reply.
Liked her sales approach but not a great communicator!
As the manager of the department I expected more.

I bought it because it was bare bones and the fewer electronics, the less that can break was the theory.
It takes a long time to wash. I am also filling it up, and I use a phosphate free detergent. Probably the only thing I really wish it had, the ability to run the water while the lid is up. My clothes are clean, they come out quite dry, so the time it takes to wash, is saved in drying time. I would buy it again.

This washing machine is a good working washing machine. Pros - washed cloths really good, very quiet and has a lot of space. Cons - washing machine stops (even filling with water) when you open the lid, the lid eventually locks for the spin cycle and takes forever to come to a stop, doesnt really wash real rough, like our old one really spun back and forth jerking the cloths around but I guess this is also a pro because its gentle on cloths. I would reccomend it.

It is a ok washer. I purchased because of the agitator listed in description, hoping that it would help cleaning clothes better. It doesn’t make a difference. Sometimes clothes are dry in spots and don’t appear clean. I really do not like that the cycles do not have the length of time that it runs so it is a guessing game. Last I wish I had gotten washer with a see through lid since it doesn’t clean well, I would like to see what it actually doing during the cycles. To see why it is not cleaning.

Want my old washer back!

I've owned Maytag appliances for quite a while now. My washer went out and I needed a replacement fast. Went to Best Buy found this one and they could get it delivered to me pretty quickly. That was the great part. Now that we have this machine it's a lot different than my last one. It takes twice as long to do a load, makes so much more noise than my old one. I have to trick the sensor so that I can get a full tub of water to do the load otherwise sometimes there isn't enough water to even completely wet the items that are in the tub. Once a cycle starts the lid locks so I have to keep pressing the pause button just so that I can open it up. One good thing that this one has that many of the others don't, is an agitator. Oh, also quite often when you take a load out after it's done the clothes are so wrinkled you have to iron items that are perm pressed. I really would like the people who come up with these new conveniences to stop and come up with appliances that do a better job and that are really high efficiency low water use appliances. How can me having to redo a load or trick the system into getting the highest possible water level in a load be saving water or electricity. I wish I had my 8 year old Maytag back!
