The fact that the machine has 3 features for detergent is wonderful. The interesting component is that you can take the middle part out and use it for delicate items. Overall I am very happy.

However the lid around the hinge broke off after 8 months and after I finally got a hold of a repairman to fix it (under manufactory warranty) he knew exactly what part it was without me telling him. A little disappointing that Maytag continues to sell an appliance they know has a faulty lid. Anyway today was my second appointment that was cancelled at the last minute. I have been waiting now for my new lid to be installed. After receiving countless emails and texts to make sure I am available, so that you are not inconvenienced, then you cancel without notice.

It looks like it will be a HUGE improvement and advancement over the old basic set we have. But I was told it could not be delivered for at least a month - so I can’t give an actual review yet!

I have done a load of wash every day and have had no trouble with the balance even with bedding. We are a family of 5 and the capacity works for us. I am happy with the selection of cycles. I bought it to match our Maytag dryer. I can have a load completely done in about 90 minutes. I would recommend Maytag.
