It’s quiet. Large capacity makes for only one wash.

I was looking forward to this washer because of good reviews and features. However after 2 weeks of use I am very disappointed. Any time I wash a sheet or mattress pad it becomes imbalanced. Much of the wash I do is this type of items and I do not have time to deal with these issues. My old washer just washed clothes and did so well. This one shakes, errors out, and makes it sound like the ceiling is going to cave in when it is running. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because when it works, it does clean the clothes. If I could exchange this for a different product, I would happily do so. I have a disabled child and do not have time for these issues. Very disappointed.

We purchased this washing machine, although at a higher price point over the comparable offerings from competitors, due to the 10-Year Warranty and the Maytag/Whirlpool reputation and Made in America quality. We thought we were happy with the washing machine until we were denied warranty coverage for an improperly installed ball bearing (that would have occurred before it ever left the factory floor) that has now resulted in an unusable washing machine and a very costly parts + labor expense to us after only (just over) 2 years of use. This is going to cost us the price of a new washing machine to repair. We trusted Maytag’s/Whirlpool’s reputation and the Made in America quality only to be very disappointed. Buyer Beware: the warranty coverage is not as extensive as it would appear. Had we have known this at the time of purchase, we would have purchased an extended warranty regardless of how redundant that may have seemed at the time or how much we had been informed otherwise (that the extended warranty was not necessary along with the 10-Year Warranty). Maytag & Whirlpool have refused to cover the Service Fee, the Parts Cost, and the Labor. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I purchased this new, state of the art machine five months ago. Three weeks ago it ceased working completely and displayed the error F5E3. After waiting a week for the locally contracted service man to appear (Maytag in Connecticut apparently doesn't have its own service personnel; it contracts the work out) he replaced a latch mechanism, which is what the error indicates, but the real problem turns out to be something on the controller board. THE MACHINE CAN'T EVEN DIAGNOSE WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT ! This is where the trouble starts. I'm being told three weeks into this thing that there are no replacement controller boards. THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE ITS OWN SPARE PARTS, AND I'M BEING TOLD THAT NOW AN EXPERTS GROUP IS WORKING ON IT ! Laundry is building up really fast now and although the representatives on the phone are cordial enough, that's not getting my wash done. At this point a washboard would be welcome. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. IF IT BREAKS, THEY CAN'T FIX IT. I can, however, still use it as a really expensive planter out in the backyard - I'd give it zero stars if I could.

We purchased a Maytag Washer (MVW7230HW0) in August of 2021. It is now 18 months old and has broken over 4 times. Today I was told by Maytag that repair parts are at least 3-4 weeks out. I am giving up on this product. We have replaced the drain pump now twice, a hose had a defect within the machine causing a water leak all over our new home, and now we are waiting on a replacement wiring harness and heat shield. Maytag's response to my inquiry on parts timing was "We have submitted a parts research request to our Specialty Team on your behalf. At this time your request is being handled by our Team and we do need to allow them at least 21 days to complete their review. We welcome you to contact us back after 3/20/23 for more information." So basically they are saying I am out a washing machine for another 4 weeks at least before I even get an answer on the timing for the part! They don't care that their product is garbage and they don't have parts to replace the garbage. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase.

Score=0!! We’ve had nothing but issues with our washer. The motor was fried after having it for a month. It was replaced with a brand new unit - aka another piece of garbage. Our second washer has had a broken detergent drawer and a cracked lid twice. We’ve spent over 7+hrs on the phone with customer service. We continue to get the run around or told there’s nothing they can do - except offer me a coupon code to buy a new washer (when mine is only 3 years old). They’re unwilling to help & acknowledge that the left hinge on the lid is defective. The plastic cracks in the same spot near the left hinge and eventually shatters, making the washer unusable bc it will not lock. The lid has ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. However, it broke again after just over 1yr, so it’s not covered under the “warranty”. I’ve never been more disappointed with washer or a company. They make their product well enough to last through the 1 year warranty. Then everything breaks. I will NEVER EVER buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again!! **AVOID Maytag!!**

If you take the time to read the reviews for this washing machine from any place that sells it you’ll see that these machines have known UI control panel issues. The replacement part itself costs $400 - $650. (Part #11478526). Mine went after only two years, and needless to say I will not be putting that kind of money into a washer that usually sells for around $800 new. Electronic parts are only covered for one year, so if it fails on you after that, then you might as well look for a new washing machine. The new part number on the UI board replaced older part numbers that came with the machines, so they must have had known issues. I’m a senior and a lifelong Maytag purchaser; but after this experience I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again.

Purchased in 2020, washing once a week and randomly it stopped turning on. Control board is absolutely light less. My first big nice washer and it only lasted three years. I thought I purchased one of the better ones $900+ dollars. Now back to the laundromat until I can afford to get it fixed.

This machine, being a Maytag product, poor craftsmanship and cheap parts. Not cheap, as in cost-effective, cheap as in inferior....espeically to the maytag name. The suspension went out within a year of buying it, now I have to have the suspension replaced again. i will never buy a Maytag product ever again.

Washing bulky loads is PAINFUL usingvthis machine. No complaints with smaller loads but I dread having to wash bankets and comforters. Keeps going off balance. Has a bulky setting, does not work well. And yes, I’m balancing the load.

DO NOT BUY. My washer only lasted 1 yr and a half. When I called MAYTAG they said there was nothing that they can do. It stopped washing after 2 mins each cycle and smelled like burned

This washer doesn't everything you wanted to do anymore quiet quiet cleanse grate couldn't be more happy and the girlfriend's happy happy happy girlfriend happy life

I would only recommend this machine to my worse enemy. Has been nothing but problems since the day we got it (and I'm talking about the replacement that they had to send because the first one litereally fell apart the first week we had it). All it does is tangle your clothes. It doesn't get them wet, it makes all kind of terrible noises. The electronics constantly need to be reset, and each service call has taken 2-3 months to get parts. And forget about trying to wash blankets....you might get them a little cleaner after 8 or 9 'washes' - a lot easier and faster to just go to the laundrymat. We're going back to GE and will never look back on this terrible experience again.

Lies lies…worst product ever. When i purchased theu advised that the washer has the best warranty ever..Again a best buy/Maytag lie…Ive had almost 1 year and a half …waiting over a year for a charcoal to match my dryer …and got crap…DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Buy something else…They wont even answer the 800 number from your App…

I purchased this unit yesterday. Tried 5-6 different cycles on the machine and it would not fill with much water. Even on deep fill, Max fill. I had about 7-8 towels and tried multiple options and it would only wet my towels, no water in tub and try to wash them. Was on hold for 45 minutes with Maytag and she claims that’s how the washer works. No, a washer can’t wash without water. And then would be 2 weeks for a person to come check it. No!! Will be returning. DO NOT BUY!!!

Horrible. Since year one we've had problems with this machine. Had to call support out and because of pandemic they didn't fix all of it. Afterwards the warranty expired and I was too late to fix it fully. stuck with a faulty machine one doing one function. Now exactly after 3 years the machine is DEAD. Not going to bother fixing it but will buy a new machine from another manufacturer.

Broken after 2 years - lid lock failure. The controls are so complex they can’t be bypassed, and nobody locally has a replacement parts for the electronic components. Sourcing parts from eBay is possible, but how do you know if the parts will work? I wish I’d kept my 1990’s Kenmore - it was smaller, but bullet proof.

Didn’t work after 3 months. Needed a new motor. Needed new gears. Needed new paddle. It was a lemon. I have talked with Best Buy to get refunded and they will not replace or refund. I spoke with Maytag and they want to repair but they haven’t done so So I do not recommend buying appliances from Best Buy or Maytag or whirlpool.

After 2 years this washer stopped mid load. No power. The cost to replace 2 parts was $815 (ACU & HMI). Purchase price was $972. Maytag customer service horrible including schedule for repair (13 days). I purchased a new one and it was not Maytag!!
