Internet still lags, no boost in speed, or signal strength... not happy with this product at all

This system solved all my dead spot issues. I have a 1900's home with plaster/lathe walls and wifi has always been spotty when trying to do professional work such as connecting some my home NAS for photography work. I used to have an Apple APE w/ AP Express as an extender and it was a joke really. I could never hold a constant connection, especially if I wanted to work outdoors on my patio. Every since installing the eero Wi-Fi system all of those issues went away. I'm a geek at heart so I thought the monitoring services of the app were pretty cool. I have about 12 devices on my network, phones, network DVR using HDHomerun and 2 Gen4 Apple TVs, Plex Media Server, etc. all running over Wi-Fi with no hiccups.

Let me start off by saying this product is remarkable...and I don't say that lightly. I've had a variety of routers/access points over the years (Netgear, Linksys, etc.) and all have had a variety of issues and none has ever provided complete coverage in my house. Eero took care of that, and I have a family who no longer complains about outages, places where there's no coverage, etc. To top it off, this was probably the easiest installation of any product I have ever experienced. (Configuration--one gen 2 base and 2 beacons for each of the installations.) I have tested this product in every corner of my home--3 floors, ~5,000 SF. No areas that I don't get strong throughput. This has now been running for a couple of weeks and not a single problem. Yes, that's a short period of time, but I have been so pleased that I have no issue endorsing this product. I have now installed in two houses, my own and in my mother-in-laws home. Her house has always been very problematic, since it's built out of concrete (located in FL in hurricane territory.) I was never able to get any solution to work throughout that home. Enter Eero and voila, same experience I have in my home. The icing on the cake is I can have both networks managed through a single iPhone app. Admittedly it was a little unnerving to not have a web based management console, but believe me you get used to it really quickly. The Eero app works great, has a speed test (from the base) built in and lets you see all the devices on your network. (I'm still trying to figure out a couple of the wireless connections it's found. I'm sure they are additional connections inside Directv or something else. I did not know I had so many connected devices!) 2 houses, no complaints, smiles all around. Definitely a great product. I just picked this up in South Austin after buying it via my iPhone and with PayPal - love I can use PayPal with Best Buy. After breaking past my Spectrum Wifi and Netgear Extenders, I decided to go Mesh. The last few weeks I have installed smart switches, lights, plugs, cameras, and locks. A number of these things were popping in and out of Wifi - the eero solved all my problems. Not to mention the fabulous Wifi on everything else (laptops, phones, consoles, etc). My worse smart plug was always on the edge at ~75 dBm and now its at -40 dBm. The erro and the beacons are in the same place as my old Wifi and two netgear extenders (actually I had three extenders - now I am one less)! The setup of the eeros itself was a snap. I think it updating its firmware took longer. Now resetting up everything else was a lot of fun because I wanted a completely new SSID. But I expected it and what prepared for it :-)

Disclaimer: I am a Best Buy employee. After learning about the Eero system at work, I decided to try it personally. It is hands down the best Wi-Fi experience I've ever had. We finally have complete, consistent coverage across the entire house. Set-up was incredibly easy and painless. The app is intuitive to use. When my parents heard about how much I enjoyed mine, they bought a 3-pack for their house; it is the first time in all of the years they've had Wi-Fi that they've ever had good coverage, coverage that reaches every room, and connections that don't drop intermittently. I'd recommend this mainly for people who struggle with "dead spots" (areas with weak or no Wi-Fi signal), people with an usual or large home layout, and people who use several devices that demand a strong internet signal (streaming, home security, smart home, etc). However, a single Eero is great as a router to pair with a modem rather than using the gateway the internet provider rents.

My ASUS router was only a few years old and located in one of my bedrooms. My Wi-Fi service was weak in the neighboring bedroom, and very weak in my living room. After I installed the eero system [base + satellite], my Wi-Fi service became useful again. No buffering when I'm streaming movies, and a strong Wi-Fi signal in all areas of my home! I recommend this product!

My WiFi is finally flawless. With my old router, I had great WiFi in my family room, but the signal had a hard time making it down my long hallway to my bedroom and bathroom. I put the main eero in the family room, one of the beacons in the hallway, and the other in my bedroom. Now my WiFi is perfect and I can watch movies with my wife in bed. Thanks eero!

The eero system is ridiculously expensive, and worth every penny. I purchased eero at the recommendation from a friend, after we bought a new house and could not get signal from our old router in the basement, where the signal would have to go through several concrete wall. With eero and a beacon in the basement, the wifi is the best we have ever seen. By far. We are able to do more things online at the same time throughout the house, at speeds that are way faster than anything we've had before. This product is amazing.

Chose eero based on many positive reviews which turned out to be very accurate. Super easy to install. Took maybe 10 minutes total for three separate units including the base and two pods. Very automated. In fact, the system practically installs itself. I live in a 2-story, 4,000 sq. ft. house. Existing cable modem and pricey extender upstairs were still plagued with dead spots and drops. Installed eero over two weeks ago. We now have maximum bars throughout the house and no more drops. Five Star Ratings from my wife and two teenage daughters!

After reading a lot if reviews for this product, I bit the bullet and bought it this afternoon and am very pleased I did. While it is expensive, it has completely eliminated the buffering while streaming YouTube TV and all wifi dead spots. Extremely easy to set up and very user friendly. Works well with my Arlo system as well. If you're experiencing intermittent wifi with Spectrum, ditch their wifi router and get this mesh system.

I rarely write reviews but this eero product is outstanding. We just moved and was having very spotty internet speeds throughout the house with my Spectrum router and modem. I initially bought a Wifi extender but it was junk. I bought the eero bundle with two becons. Set-up couldn't be simpler with their step by step app. I was up and fully running in literally 5 to 10 minutes. I am getting 50 to 150 MPS in every room of the house now. Thrilled so far!!!!

When my NetGear gave out after 2 years, I bought the Eero system. The best purchase I ever bought in regards to a home WiFi system!! I never drop WiFi service and get reception throughout my apartment. It's great to know if I move into a bigger place, all I have to do is buy another plug-in module (not sure of the correct word/terminology for the extension piece) and it extends the WiFi service area. Great product!! Highly recommend. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I didn't even know I needed better wifi until a friend told me about eero. Now that I have my system I can't believe how well it works how fast and reliable my internet is and how easy it was to set up. eero rules!

This has blown my expectations out of the water. I was originally getting about 50 mbps with my old router, and that was standing right next to it doing a speed test. While moving into my bedroom I was getting about 20 mbps which was very frustrating while paying for a 150 mbps internet plan. This was even more frustrating because I have a ton of devices on my wifi, and it was always getting bogged down while trying to stream YouTube TV for my cable. Then came along the amazing eero mesh wifi system. The setup was under a 10 minute process, and is easy enough for my 97 year old grandma to figure out. Now the performance incredible wherever I am in the apartment I am finally get 150 mbps anywhere I stand I can be across the street and still getting full signal and full speed! I can not recommended this enough it is a little pricey, but like everything in life you get what you pay for, and in this case you are paying for a premium wifi experience highly recommended!

After months of WIFI dead zones in my house, I decided to pick up a mesh WIFI system. You will not regret buying the eero system. Its dead simple to set up and straight forward to use. It easily covers my 3500 sq/ft house and I get my paid for speeds nearly all the time.

Have a long railroad style condo and was having trouble getting good reception in the front and back rooms of the condo. WiFi system works like a charm. Eero in the middle of the home with a beacon in the front and back. Somewhat expensive but worth the quality. Highly recommended!

I was paying for the premium service tier from Comcast but was only getting about 20mbps down. i thought the issue was with my modem, so I purchased a Motorola Surfboard. However, the problem was really with my router set up. Once i put in the eeros, it dramatically increased speeds throughout my place. Love the system, especially the beacon.

I’ve always had my modem and router in my garage, as my home office is there. I’m already on my second router. A few months ago, I started getting internet in the house only intermittently. I went to Best Buy for help, and the associate there recommended a newer router or the Eero. I opted for the newer router as it was only $100. The eero was $400. A day later I brought it back as my problem persisted, and bought the eero instead. I now have a strong internet signal throughout my house. The whole family is happy! BTW, the first unit was defective. The guy on eero’s help line determined that by conducting a quick over the phone test, and asked me to take it back to Best Buy, even though it was a day past their 14 day return window. I did, and Best Buy honored my word and gave me a new eero. This time around, I purchased their $39.99 two year extended warranty, just in case. I haven’t had any issues with the new unit, and I’m completely satisfied.
