FINALLY getting the internet speed we pay for!

We have our internet thru spectrum cable. We pay for 200 Mbps and with the router spectrum provided us we hit max speeds of 60 Mbps. After doing some research we decided we would make the investment into some good wifi equipment for our network. Eero was our best solution! It was so easy to set up, the app is super user friendly, their customer support is always available and knowledgeable. We are now getting speeds up to 230mbps thanks to Eero!

Excellent whole-home WiFi for my multi-story home

I have an eero Pro System in my primary residence in the Denver area, and I used this eero and 2 Beacons system to get a cheaper option to cover a home my family shares up in the mountains. It's a 4-story duplex, new construction, and our only available ISP is a really slow DSL line. That made it all the more important to have a great, easy-to-use WiFi system to get the most out of the small pipe. I got this system set up in about 10-15 minutes and it works great. The younger folks in the family are relieved that we can have WiFi when we're spending family time up in the mountains.

    EERO + 1 BEACON

I've been looking at this product and watched several Youtube videos and reviews for over 4 months before i FINALLY pulled the trigger and buying one. As advertised, it was a breeze to set up and get up and running. Before the install, i did a few WIFI speed test around my house to get an idea of what my WIFI was like before and after. I have to admit, WOWWW !!!!! This device REALLY WORKS, and WORKS WELL!! Before i was getting ehhhhh 18 to 22, maybe 25 mgbts upload, and my ISP provides 100 mgbts. After installing the EERO system, im now getting well over 125 mgbts and my download speed is at around 18, 19, 20. Im rreally glad i purchased this item. Thanks EERO.

Works well - but not as easy to install as claimed

I recently moved to a new house that is one story and about 3500 square feet. Because my combined cable modem router are now located in the back of the house, I had a bad dead zone in the front third of the house where my office is located. After doing a great deal of research, I decided on this EERO solution. My install troubles came from the fact that my comcast cable modem is also my router. I also got what may be some bad advice at the store and couldn't really find any additional info online. In my case, I got the wifi running fine everywhere only to find out my TVs didn't work anymore. After a bunch of reboots and trying to research answers, I decided to turn off "bridge" mode on my router/modem. It was in bridge mode at the recommendation of the salesperson at the store and several online forums. Not sure why, but after taking it out of bridge mode, everything worked fine. WIFI is strong everywhere and TVs are working fine. I don't notice any conflicts and only see one network. All in all happy with the results, but a little difficult getting there due to my setup.

Very happy with my eero network

Recently installed my 2nd generation eero + 2 beacons to my existing eero network. My internet speed tests now clock at an average of 240 Mbps out of the available 250 Mbps from my ISP. I'm very HAPPY!!!! The automated nightlight on the beacons is also a great feature, which comes in very handy when little ones go to bed or sleepwalk through the night.

Our comcast router couldn't reach about half of our apartment - it's an old building in San Francisco so the space is narrow and long with lots of interfering traffic. With eero, our entire apartment has coverage now and is notably faster in our kitchen and back rooms. Setup was easy (took ~10 minutes) and the nightlight that automatically adjusts is perfect for our hallway.

    Worth the price

I had an old netgear router and anytime we'd browse the web while streaming something on TV the screen would start re-loading. The Eero solved this problem. It provides strong signal (3x the speed is what I'm finding out) throughout the house. Place a beacon on each floor and you'll be set. The setup was super easy. If you know how to download an app on your phone you'll be able to set it up on your own. I know the price is steep, but it's an investment you won't regret.

    Love Beacon's performance and nightlight!

Performance in my home -- with the eero (second gen) in my living room, a Beacon in my kitchen and a Beacon in my master bedroom -- is noticeably faster than my previous eero system. More importantly, I now don't have unnecessary cords in the kitchen or bedroom -- and have come to really like the nightlight, especially in the kitchen.

I got 99 problems but wifi ain't one

At the corners of my place, my wifi would not be so great. I'd watch youtube and hate how much I had to wait. Like c'mon mate. But now I don't fret, I've got great internet. I don't get upset. It's the best. Real easy to set, and now I don't think about it and don't sweat. I'm feeling brand new! You in another room? Router not in your field of view? Don't matter, the signal goes right through. It could be yours too. This is my 5 star review. Didn't matter on the phone or on the computer, I really needed a hero. I gotta hand it to all the folks at eero.

    Superb system

I do have a large home of about 4000 sq. ft. Installation was quite easy, though I had to enter the serial # of 2 of the 3 units during install; the third one got recognized. Once I connected my smartphone I found the WiFi download speed was almost 50 MB, which is great. My previous unit, from Open-Mesh, gave 10 MB. I just installed this today, but so far it is just great. Best Buy had the last one in the store. Looks like they are selling fast.

Was a loyal eero user before buying the beacon but was having some issues getting connectivity in my backyard. Not only did the beacon make my connection faster inside my apartment but it did wonders for helping me get access to the web outside. Highly recommend, plus the nightlight is an awesome perk!

My new eero wifi system is Better than Sweet Cream on Fresh Corn! I've got 18 wifi devices on my home network. This used to cause fits for my comcast modem. I had intermittent issues with a TV on the network and could never get wifi in my back bedroom. With eero, my wifi is PERFECT! Thanks eero!

    Fixed wireless coverage issues

I had a chronic problem in the master bedroom with the WiFi strength being lower than the rest of the house. Despite having 175 mbps, and a small one story house, the signal got blocked. Consequently, Apple TV streaming services often didn’t work. I had been waiting for mesh networking hardware to come down in price! This installed in just a few minutes. Super simple

    Has Potential

This product has a lot of potential, but not until it supports mesh in bridge (AP only) mode. Some folks like myself have robust firewalls / routers in place, and do not want to rip that out and put a lesser product in place (router-wise), while others must use the equipment provided by their ISPs in order to not break their bundled services. Regardless, this will not work for you if you're in those categories. Hopefully this glaring omission will be resolved in future iterations of the product.

Have 1600 sq ft colonial plus finished basement. Placed this central on ground floor getting full speed 30mb/s+ everywhere. Also considered Orbi but much prefer smaller Eero box. I use Eero like access points so fits my needs perfect. Also have cable modem router combo with 4 ethernet ports so don't need extra ports in Orbi. Setup was stupid simple.

I purchased the first generation Eero system and now have four Eero routers in our house. Our dead spots are gone and we get consistently great bandwidth on both stories of our house as well as the basement. I also used one of the routers to hard wire my flaky Sony TV directly. Highly recommended!

    Doesn't work well with others

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The only flaw is that you can not select which channel (2.4 or 5 GHz) for a device to use and the Eero does not allow the device itself to choose which device to use. Roku, Google Home, and Chromecast do not work well with this system. Two of the TV's were rendered useless-Roku could not update and only an older Chromecast would work. Neither systems could update. On the one TV that Roku was able to be installed on, the internet signal kept dropping on that device only. Eero customer support was patient and awesome and eventually fell back on the "contact the manufacturer or ISP" excuse. Eero listed all these devices as compatible. I took the loss on the cost of this system and bought the Google Wifi system. Roku, Google Homes, and the Chromecast all installed easily and are without issues. I still can't select the channel, but it seems Google does a better job than Eero in doing so. This was an expensive lesson to learn.

I've had the 2nd generation system for about 6-8 months, and I've never had a problem with coverage even though it's a fairly large area. I've never needed to reset the router. Everything works flawlessly without having to think about it. Eero is definitely a winner!
