Clear and good quality picture. Easy to install and use.

Great product sets up easy instant picture quick access to apps. kids think they are on T.V.

First you need to buy a better than average HDMI cord. The store didn't say that, the unit doesn't come with one. Second the instructions are vague. We are talking to our Daughter and Grandkids in Alaska she is using her iPhone for days we were fighting with the picture. Why was it tall and narrow....had her turn her phone sideways duh, now it's all good. No instructions or information on this. The company wants you to talk to another portal.

I am not endorsing F+$#B@@&...but this product is great. Zoom on the big screen, easy controls, great connectivity. It was roughly 50% off when purchased, so a great deal. Cheaper than the webcams I have purchased. I am sure it does other things, but if you have a fb account you don't use, a zoom account you use, and zoom activities to engage in....this is a no brainer.

Here's how we use it for business, and so far, it works great. We set these up on T.V.s at both of our physical offices, and put some of the other Portals (with monitors) in staffs home office, and then had all the staff make "Work Profiles" on FaceBook, and all of us friend each other. This way, I can say "Hey Portal, call John." and it'll call the Portal associated with John. Then, once John is in, he can say, "Add Sarah," and it'll call her Portal at her home office. This is great for us, because we only have 8 staff, which is the limit the Portal has for multi-chat calls. The way I understand it, we can add services like Zoom or What's App to the Portal, but you will lose the ability to call somebody with your voice. This is why we chose to have everyone make their own Work FaceBook Accounts, so we can call each other just by talking to our Portal. You can also answer with your voice, and turn your camera off and on. Pretty much, we were really tired of trying to organize Zoom calls, and everyone having issues with it, so we spent all our time texting or calling each other from our home offices. We decided to give Portal a try, and now if one of us needs to talk to somebody, we just say "Call Kristi," and there is Kristi. If we realize we need Eric in on the call, we say "Call Eric," and there he is. It's so much more efficient than Zooming, and the auto pan, focus and zoom features are superior to any other web cam I've owned.

This really only works well if both use it. Sometimes there are sound and clarity issues

Easy set up and as soon as I logged in, I was able to make video calls to my family. This is great as we don't all have to squeeze into view of a phone or tablet. My kids love when they are able to do reading on the app and be a part of the story. You can hit the red button on the side so video and voice is not active.

Purchased this for 80+ year old uncles to connect to his TV so he can communicate with family overseas. I was scared to have to create a facebook account for them, but this works with What'sApp by itself! This was extremely useful since my uncle had a WhatsApp account and knew how to use it already. This made the entire procedure perfect and worked great. The remote even controlled his samsung TV!!

I got the cyber Monday special and for $59 it’s not a bad product. It does “wake” occasionally when I am on work calls, which is annoying. The remote is without numbers so entering in Zoom meeting and passwords is a bit tedious. Also, it would be nice if I can somehow click the zoom meeting links rather than enter in the meeting room and password.

This gadget is pretty cool. I would definitely recommend it.

We love using our new Facebook - Portal TV Smart Video since it provides a much larger screen in order to see everyone that we are video calling. It tracks movements so the kids are always in view. It's so much better than trying to use the computer, iPad or iPhone screen. I would highly recommend getting one if you would like to chat with family members who are far away or stuck at home now.

It could have been user error, but I don’t think so. We bought two portals for my parents - this one to hook up to their tv so my visually impaired mother could see the callers. We got it to work but once the portal activated we couldn’t get it to ever switch back over to the satellite unless we rebooted the satellite system. We ended up returning it because we couldn’t get it resolved.
