I purchased this product to see my daughter and familly that live far. Especially with covid 19 not able to physically visit. . Having the portal it was easy to install and use. We are able to see our new grandson grow. I definetly would recommend this product.

Not as intuitive and flawless as other portal models, and has a few glitches my other portal doesn’t. But for aging eyes to sit on the sofa in the living room and watch two families of grandkids celebrate Christmas from miles apart, it was perfect. Not just for the holidays, it has become our default for most family calling, more spontaneous and natural interaction than FaceTime. And no struggle to keep the high-velocity toddler in the frame, the portal follows him perfectly. Currently troubleshooting a glitch... since I plugged my new Samsung soundbar into my Samsung TV on HDMI/ARC, the portal TV on HDMI1 has not completed a connection successfully... incoming calls can’t see me, I can’t hear the other party on outgoing calls. So maybe not a great purchase for the less tech-savvy. One of the self-contained portal models might be better.

The Portal is easy to set up, don't forget your password, had to make it harder than it is. Use it regularly to talk and intersect with my family, friends, and family. I would buy this again and already gave one to my daughter. Ok, that's enough of me, now go find ac Portal! :)

We live out of state and have my parents' first grandkid. This has been amazing. We love having it on our big TV and they love seeing our toddler full size anywhere in the room. Remote is a little annoying.

We bought this to be able to see our grandkids on our tv. It works great on their end. They see us both really well but in order for it to work the way we hoped, they would have to get one too. Setup was easy.

Bought this for a friend for her birthday so we could keep in touch during the pandemic! I would recommend this to people whose families don't live particularly close. It makes you feel like you are sitting in the room with them!

this was a great choice for us, since our son lives hundreds miles away we bought the 10" for him and his family. we used it over the new year and it was almost like being with each other. It will come in use when our granddaughter is born.

I love it. I get to see my daughter, son in law and my grand children as if they were here in my living room. The kids love it. Best thing other than being together for real. I’m so happy my daughter told me about it. It’s the best purchase by far that I’ve made in years.

So far, so good. We are still getting used to using it and trying to figure it out. We will be thriled to be able to see our children and grandchildren full screen once we get the hang of it.

It's really nice to video chat with this versus your phone or tablet. It's a larger screen and not as tiresome. It's not the easier to use because you have no touchscreen and have to use the remote. It does the job!

Great picture quality and no lag. I bough this for my parents for Christmas to replace the echo show I bought last year. Picture and sound are crystal clear. My parents love being able to chat through their 50in tv

I bought this for a gift for my mom who has friends out side of our state. She didn’t seem too thrilled about it. Good concept just not sure how much she will actually use it. Good for Amazon video

Purchased 4 of these for me and my grown kids. I wanted to see my grandchildren without holding the phone for a long period of time. We all now occasionally sit around talking to each as if we were sitting in the same room. Nice on my 75” TV.

This is one of the best video calling devices that you can connect to your tv and turn it into a video calling device. You can also watch Netflix and other channels.

Love EVERYTHING about this Portal TV... Except.. I have to use one remote to switch the input on the television to this and then I have to power this up no big deal but juggling two or three remotes and that's a sort of a pain

Purchased this to video chat with my brother on the other side of the country. He had one and it worked great. I loved how it followed you as you moved or zoomed in if you were sitting down or zoomed out if you had a group of people. I also loved the fact that the voice and video could be blocked when not in use for privacy. I found it worked ok enough but kept freezing or pausing or pixelating the video. Turns out my dsl is not fast enough for it. This product needs the fastest internet possible. He goes through his cable provider. I think if you had true high-speed internet, like from Infinity, etc., you wouldn't have a problem. I returned mine.

I bought this for my 90 yr old parents in Florida. My nephew and brother set it up easily. Finally got my mom to stop pushing buttons and listening to me and now the grandkids and great grandkids can talk and see them from Michigan.

Got one for myself and the other for family. We are now able to communicate over video chat more efficiently. Fun features like Story Time make it fun for the kids to use too.

Bought this for my mom who is in a care center with no visitors allowed because of COVID. It is so simple to operate that she has no trouble making or receiving video calls. It has been wonderful for her to be connected to family and friends!

The Facebook - Portal TV Smart Video is a good try but the software could be better and the ability to customize should be expanded. It does not always follow as it should and when multiple people speak it is hard to follow the conversation.
