Works as it's supposed to. Bought only for messenger video calls calls it does it well. Picked it up on sake which made it worth it.

Great product for families. My wife uses it alot to do video calling. And doing it on a 86 inch tv is great!

I bought this as a gift for my parents during the pandemic. They've had a number of issues with it, but overall it has been working great. My parents have to switch over from their TV service to another "source" on their TV to get to the Portal - which they find annoying. The sound isn't always great, and the camera doesn't always know where to focus - but it does get the job done. Overall, we are all happy with the Portal.

Great product. Camera and mic works great and the wide angle is awesome. Some areas of improvement: 1. Make the product compatible with major video chatting software, such as Zoom (think this function is set to come out at the end of the year) 2. The smart camera lacks the feature of zooming in on the person who's talking, but stays panned out to capture everyone. There should be an option for this. 3. Typing the messenger room code without a keyboard is a pain. There should be a solution for this.

We bought 1 for our son, for Christmas, so that we could be familiar to our grandsons. We bought another for us this spring. We live on FL & they are in MI. It has given us the chance to get to know them. Trying to use cell phones was annoying. You'd have to pass it back and forth. This allows you to see the whole room. The only draw back is sometimes it focuses too tightly on the person in the back of the frame. Our grandson likes to be up close & it ignores him sometimes.

This was purchased as a gift. It was easy to install, easy to use and a fun way to keep in touch with family and friends....young & old.

Works great! Love being able to see our daughter in college on the tv instead of our phones for video calls.

I purchased a portal for my baby niece and my husband surprised me with one. My niece (18 mos old) loves talking to me on her tv. GREAT product!

Just hit this and first impression is it's OK. A few quirks but still like the ability to see my grandkids on the big screen.

I purchased this and another Portal, and I am a bit disappointed at this one. The regular portals have better wireless connectivity and they are not located far from each other. This has fewer functions than the IPad messenger so my kids can only play with other family members the Facebook games through the iPad and not through here. Also it doesn’t have the kid’s messenger option. I wouldn’t buy this again.

Excellent. Family really enjoys it. Much better than using phone as everyone can talk together and show items received at Christmas.

We purchased the portable unit last year and loved it. I thought I wanted a bigger screen and the portal that uses my TV is great

Very convenient and useful item to have, occasionally will glitch and needs to be restarted / rebooted, but then does fine.

Tech support from FB is about useless they do try but fall short no port numbers so your isp can open ports for you. Had to use an older router of my own that allowed me to use all the apps. I tried the portal large and it had the same issue and was returned. For the money go with the TV. Not many apps but it is nice to keep in touch on the couch and it does track you and is fun to read stories. It won't allow you to snap pics like you phone does in FB chat but all in all I'm satisfied with it.

We love the quality of the picture from this camera! FaceTime clarity is amazing on our new 65 inch TV with portal tv camera!

So nice to see your friends and family like they are in the room with you! A little jumpy but definitely related to your internet speed.
