Works as expected. Recommended if you use Facebook and Whatsapp. Mostly being used for Whatsapp, but it would be good if it included other services like Zoom or Skype. Understand different vendors and competitors, but there is no other product like this.

Really a cool piece of tech. The intelligent camera zoom and follow feature is really nice. Also is an entry-level streaming platform and has all the basic service apps, Netflix, Hulu, HBOmax, etc. The only downside is that the volume control will not control our Bose sound bar.

I was really cautious about buying this product, but when they announced that they will support zoom I purchased the device. The AI in the camera system is honestly amazing and without equal for the price. Still waiting on the zoom support, as I am not a fan of Facebook.

This is a great product. The camera quality is great, it follows subjects well, and it is easy to set up. The only reason it receives a 4 star is because of its lack of refinement. There are just small bugs here and there that prevent it from being an A+ item.

Was pretty great... When it actually worked. Software is clunky A firmware update destroyed it. By 5hat, I mean it un-paired from the remote and wouldn't re-connect to it. Thankfully I was within my return window and returned it for a refund. Until the bugs are worked out, I would avoid this product... But if they make a V2, I'd give it another shot. It has some cool features once the bugs are worked out.

Apparently there is a portal available that also has Alexa built in which would have been nice to know before I purchased this. Also you can initiate Facebook messages and calls through the portal but you can not receive calls or messages so if someone responds you dont get the alert not can you see the message even if your connected to the portal at the time the message/call was received. Kind of defeats the purpose and really limits it. Thankfully I really only wanted it to display my photography on a frame tv in my living room which it does so long as the photos are on Facebook which they are. So it works for that purpose. Beyond that it is very limited.

This is okay. It's not the greatest smart device however, for those who were expecting this to replace or be equal to a firestick, the app capabilities and functionality is limited in terms of Television entertainment. It's really nice however to connect to loved ones with a simple remark to Facebook portal or Amazon's Alexa. Don't get it for the bedroom like I did, as you will seldom feel comfortable in your undies while retiring for the evening, to make calls out to the folks on the regular, that is unless you live in an enormous bedroom with its own entertainment area away from the bed.

Best device if you want to have your whatsapp calls on tv its really good if you have kids at home grandparents can see them play without anyone needing to hold the phone just connect to Tv and it gets the job done

I was curious of what this portal can do when I saw it online. I bought it when it was on sale and I love it. It is fun to be able to talk to friends and family members oversea through FB portal. I would recommend it to others.

I want to give 5 stars for the customer support at Bestbuy. The facebook portal TV will get 4 starts as it still needs some fine tuning to improve the zooming and focus function. The features mentioned are not as efficient as shown in advertisement.

Works wonderfully. Easy setup. Love the the fact the camera follows the speaker in the room. We use this to see our kids and grand kids. We used to have to huddle around our laptop. Now we can sit in our lazy boys and it feels like we are in their living room.

Fantastic platform for video calling. I bought one for my brother and my oldest daughter. Now the grandkids in our city can video with their cousins in Salt Lake City. I can now video with my 86 year old Mom easy peesy too!

I use this because it’s an automatic way to join in on a very important zoom meeting that requires clarity, and a mic you can’t beat. It’s also sort of a way to make a TV smart. You should buy this.

This product is actually very useful but still has a lot of flaws. First, keeps logging out. Second, It doesn't support many other useful apps such as YouTube(It is accessible via browser but still needs a bluetooth keyboard to interact. For me it's not good). It will force you to subscribe to Amazon Music as Spotify is not voice controlled. Although the video call is perfect and flawless for both platforms Messenger and WhatsApp, every other Portal product is having Zoom app available too. For Portal TV, it has been announced for later this year. I can understand that the main purpose of the device is almost perfect but I guess people don't buy one product just for one purpose.

Love it. Note if you use HDMI ARC on TV for connecting to sound bars, this one intercepts it and drops your TV’s HDMI ARC. So disconnect HDMI after use is the only way for me.

Excellent product, great for use during this time of social distancing. Only thing I would change is the ability to stop Alexa function because it interfering with voice commands with other Alexa products (we have an open floor plan).

This item works well, for the most part. I like that it follows people around the room but at times it has trouble focusing or follows someone passing by then doesn't come back to me unless I wave my hands or get up to get the focus back on me.

Regularly use with young grandchildren who enjoy the story telling feature. AI control of camera is particularly good so folks, especially children can move around. Makes for natural conversations. Have had up to 7 simultaneous conversations. Worked well.

Set up more difficult than expected- these innovations need to be far more non nerd oriented when it comes to set up. For pricing an hdmi cable needs to be included. Should have a connectivity for an bluetooth keyboard access vs scroll to type. Seems to work ok

Works well for Messenger and WhatsApp calling. I bought it due to reading about the Zoom app that is supposed to be added in the near future but have been pleasantly surprised with as much as we have used it while waiting for the Zoom app.
