Bought this for my mother in laws birthday and she loves it. She can call the grandkids and read them stories and it really helps her stay connected with others!

Absolutely amazing video calling experiencing. My parents don't use Facebook much but with the product they can see most recent photos posted to Facebook automatically on the device. Think of all the electronic photo frames that go useless and boring since they show same stuff over and over, and imagine how much better it can be when it shows fresh photos instead. Hardware definitely is top notch and I'm looking forward to see what software improvements come to the product.

I was looking for a device through which I could use the TV as a screen for video call. The Portal TV does the job perfectly. It also doubles up as an Alexa device. Another huge feature I use is the ability to view some of the camera outputs in the house on TV using this device. For the reduced price, it's fully worth. Only concern is how long this device will be supported with Meta killing the product line.

What a great item...you can see at a glance in abroad, which one you miss them. At least they watch you your atmosphere...while.

We purchased the Portal TV to watch our grandson learning to crawl, since we couldn't visit him during the pandemic. Works great...setup wasn't difficult!

Easy to set up and use. I mounted it on top of me living room TV and it does a great job in all my needs.

We have kids and grandkids in two locations in Kansas, two locations in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs and one in the DFW area. And my wife's sister lives in Texas as well. So I suggested that we get a Portal TV system so that we could all be together on Thanksgiving and Christmas this year in the time of COVID. The system allowed us to put everyone on one call so the cousins and relatives could talk with each other. And seeing their faces on our Samsung QLED 65 inch TV made it even more intimate and realistic.

This is an excellent product, which I have been using and bought multiple times as gifts. Very easy to install and use, great to connect families and/or friends across the globe, if you have a decent sized living room, large tv, and good lighting. The feature I like most is that the camera moves and follows you, audio is great as well and an easy connect to your contacts around the world.

I got this for my mom because she is visually and hearing impaired. Mostly hearing impaired. She loves to FaceTime with the family and can barely hear people on her cell phone. I got this for her so that way she can hear and see all of the family and they can see and hear her better. If you got somebody like her in your life and they're needing help FaceTime and because they can't see or hear, get them this Facebook portal. It's a lifesaver. #DOUBLEPLATINUMBABY

i bought this so i could used it with my 85 inch tv and is perfect i chat with people on face book and waatsup and facetime

cool concept. remember that it works best only if the other party also has a similar device such that the larger video can be appreciated on a big screen. Other than that this device works great. the audio quality is amazing with the multiple microphones and people can hear me across the room. worth it at the discounted price of $49. not worth it at full price of 3x.

I love it, easy to plug and play. Plays on my Television with ease. Purchase one you will enjoy.

So far so good. This is a device you should have if you have a kid in your family that doesn't live in the same household. Communication via FB messenger or WhatsApp super simple and you can run up to 4 participants at a time. I downloaded Zoom but I haven't used it yet. I only had to reset it once. No idea if this normal, but it really gets hot after using for about 30mins.

It works as advertised but the instructions are sparse. I know I can get all that on the web but I would have appreciated something with the device. I tried both the TV connected unit and the smaller 11” screen version. I liked the TV connected version better because it has a small footprint and displays better on our large TV.

This is an amazing device but it is a little flakey. First the good part the camera follows you around the room so you can sit anywhere and move around. It's amazing that such a relatively inexpensive device can work to replicate what much more expensive business video conference packages can do. Now the flakey part. I have experienced the following issues: We installed WhatApp (my account) and also my wife's Facebook account. (I do not have a Facebook account.) First my WhatApp account somehow dropped off without my taking any action. When I try to add it back on, I need to go through my wife's Facebook account and I still cannot get it to work! It's really not at all intuitive as to how to add a separate WhatApp account. I am a bit of a techie, have researched this a fair amount and still have not gotten it to work. Anyway, I think this should not be so hard to do. A couple of other more minor issues have been that I have needed to reboot the box a few times in just the first few weeks of use and the sound quality has sometimes been marginal. Outside of that it is a great first step to a truly useful tool. If Facebook could improve these issues (and maybe make the picture quality a little sharper as well) I would certainly be willing to pay a bit more for such a device.
