Certainly, here's a review of the Oculus Quest: The Oculus Quest is a groundbreaking piece of technology that has redefined the world of virtual reality (VR). It offers a truly immersive experience, combining the freedom of wireless VR with powerful hardware and a diverse library of games and experiences. Design and Comfort: The Quest's design is sleek and minimalistic, with a comfortable and adjustable head strap. It's a standalone VR headset, which means no cumbersome cables or the need for an external PC. This makes it incredibly easy to set up and use. Display and Visuals: The headset features a high-resolution OLED display that offers vibrant colors and sharp visuals. The Quest 2, in particular, has improved screen clarity and refresh rates, enhancing the overall VR experience. The visuals are impressive, even if they may not match high-end PC VR headsets. Performance: Powered by a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the Quest delivers smooth and responsive performance for most VR applications. While it's not as powerful as PC-based VR systems, it's more than capable of handling a wide range of games and experiences from the Oculus Store.

The graphics are stunning, offering vibrant colors and sharp details that make you feel like you’re part of the action. The headset is lightweight and comfortable, which is crucial for extended gaming sessions. The intuitive controls are easy to master, making it accessible for both newcomers and seasoned VR users.

    Go to Q2

As a tech wanderer, It was only natural to migrate from the Oculus Go to the Meta Quest 2. I don't dive in head first to new things (skipped Q1) but give things time to get updated and sorted out first. And, as usual, I bought something then the newest addition was announced within a month or so later (Galaxy S9+ then S10 released now Q2 and Q3 announced!). I'm not a big gamer but the 3D aspect has always been of interest. As far as technology, the Q2 is a step up but I'm still getting used to the controller (both hands) difference. The video is fine and the choice between hard-wiring or wifi is a welcome feature. And since I don't like the head attachment or the "fly away" possibility in the heat of the moment, I did my research and invested in accessories which is my suggestion too for others. Meta accessories are way over priced! I chose BB's Insignia 16' link cable for under$20. BoboVR's much better head strap system (sturdier and comfortable) is reasonably priced and you can get the package with one or two extra "hot-swap" batteries if you have trouble destroying foes in less than2 hours! Best Buy does offer the Anker charging dock which handles controls and headset with the rechargeable batteries. And I found some comfortable hand straps that snap in to the controllers' notch by removing the wimpy wrist string provided so you don't take out your Smart TV with a projectile during battle. (Note: the Anker charging station replaces the existing battery cover that has the charging nodes on the outside so a full cover style means you'll have to take off the sleeves to charge every time! There are so many YT videos out there explaining the apps and features of this thing, I'll leave it there for now. VR is still developing but Q2 steps it up from earlier products. But, of course. Meta bought Oculus a while ago so it's still tied to complete privacy surrender . . . but so is everything else these days, huh? I'm old enough to remember this TV show phrase "Smile! You're on candid camera!" so if you own a Smart TV/Phone/VR headset . . . well . . . you're already compromised. Be careful and have fun with the Quest 2 . . . Big Brother Zuck is watching you . . . lol! (Star subtraction for that reason)

I have never experienced or played VR before getting my Quest 2 so I didn’t really know what to expect. Though from the moment I first gave it a try it had me hooked. It is certainly an experience you can’t really explain, but one everyone should certainly try. Pistol Whip, Beat Saber and Walkabout Mini Golf are tons of fun for all ages. I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t!

It feels good just to come to the garage and put on the vr and escape all that crazy people. I’m the king in there. I won’t be told what to do in there.

The oculus is a thrilling futuristic gaming system that throws you into a world with endless possibilities. You can fight off a zombie hoard with a friend who lives 5 hours away or play beat saber and get your cardio in for the day. There are educational apps and wellness apps as well as front row seats at concerts youve only dreamt of.

I've played on other VR headsets before but I never purchased one myself because I never felt they were quite there yet. When I heard this one was not only standalone, but could be used on the PC, was 120hz, is completely wireless and only 300 dollars I couldn't believe that all the complaints I had had been addressed. Another big selling point for Oculus vs the Vive is having access to both the Oculus store and Steam available to play games on PC. The two main things I had worried about when comparing online, resolution and tracking accuracy, have not been an issue at all. Could the resolution be better? Absolutely, but it is more than good enough to fully enjoy any title you play. The accuracy, however, is a different story. I've only had very slight issues with the tracking and it hasn't once affected gameplay. In fact, I am incredibly impressed with how well the controller and floor is tracked. It's very apparent when you're playing shooter type games where aiming matters a lot. The main complaint I have is the Air Link feature to wirelessly connect to the PC did have issues at first. My desktop is in a different room than the router and connected wirelessly over AX. The signal is more than good enough for gaming, but I guess it just couldn't quite cut it when it came to streaming VR wirelessly. I ran an ethernet to the living room where the router is and it works near flawlessly now. I can even play the Oculus in other rooms (including where my PC is) and there's no issues either. It might just be something not quite optimized yet since Air Link is still in the beta phase right now. Overall I really couldn't be happier. My wife and I had talked about getting a VR headset for years but never could quite pull the trigger, but for 300 dollars getting this as our first full VR headset was a no brainer. Love it!
