Quest 2 with VR WAVE lenses are OP

Honestly, I bought my Quest 2 off of a limb, I wanted the PS5 but at the time it was hard to acquire so I ended up impulse buying a Quest 2, I do not regret it one bit! I think one thing that I overlooked was that you have to try to fit the glasses in the Quest 2, which is difficult for me because I wear a large frame, or wear contacts. Initially, I used contact lenses to see while using the Quest 2 but after a while it bothered me that I always had to put my contacts on every time I wanted to play because I don't like wearing contacts. One day I was doing some google searches for an alternative and VR WAVE was there to answer my questions! I sent in my prescription for VR WAVE lenses and I have been playing nonstop since! They give you a whole kit to test the blue light through the lenses they send, a card with your prescription on it so you know its your pair, a case for safe traveling, and lens cleaners. They were as much as regular glasses and I don't regret the purchase.

I purchased for the holidays, as a gift for the kids. With an amazing price of $200, I have only 2 small gripes with it; 1 the battery life is not really that great. On a fulll charge, it provides about an hour of playtime. That is good for 1 child's playthrough, but when they are passing/battling back and forth for playtime, that hour flies, and the recharge time is not quite fast enough. I ended up purchasing a 2nd headset, and 15ft type C cables to connect/charge while playing...but that limits the play area outlet areas in the house. 2. The clarity, picture, and graphics are amazing and vibrant, with easy to read text. I just would have liked much wider Peripheral vision the headset, that doesn't feel so cut off by the eyepieces inside.

The Oculus Quest 2 is an awesome device for the money. There’s a lot of experiences and fun things to try. For example there’s videos on YouTube that make you feel like you are there. Playing games in VR is super fun you feel immersed into the game. The only bad thing is you might get motion sick but if you have enough experience with VR you will get over it.

Outstanding quality for the price. Only cavets are you're going to want to buy a third party head strap, the one that is included will hurt your face. I recommend a Kiwi Design battery strap, and I've also heard good things about BoboVr straps. You'll also be selling a bit of your soul to Facebook by making a Meta account. The new Steam Link app works beautifully. Wireless PC quality VR for $250 is a wonderful thing. Meta selling these at a loss + with spending your VR money on Steam rather than the meta store = a slap in the face to King Z(c)uck himself. If you're looking to dip your toes into VR, this is the headset for you.

I always wanted to experience VR, but had trouble with fitting various ones from other brands due to my glasses finding them uncomfortable, if they fit at all. Well the Oculus Quest 2 has been the answer! I haven't even needed to use the adapter insert for glasses and it's so comfortable and not as heavy as I expected. I have worn it several hours at a time and never got any headaches or experienced any dizziness like I often have with others. And the graphics are amazing! I would suggest not waiting and just buying a case or stand for storing or travel right away. It seems the charge depletes rapidly when it's carried around loose in a bag which I do regularly as I take it to work with me to help my 12 hour solo night shift pass by. If the controllers tap together or if the power button on the headset gets touched it turns on and a proper case would eliminate that completely! Set up was mostly easy and straight forward, but it did take a little longer than anticipated.

It's pretty cool for a standalone VR. I use it for steamvr and with my pc setup it runs and looks great. One thing that I dislike about it is that even when plugged up using a branded cable, it still dies while playing. I used to have the htc vive, which was a downgrade in a lot of ways compared to the quest 2 - but I never got motion sickness when using it. With the Quest 2 I get headaches after playing it for short periods. The fitment over the nose is really strange too and if you don't get the headset tight enough you will fog up your lenses. But it seems like when i get it tight enough it is TOO tight and ends up cutting off blood flow in my head. Overall I would recommend it but you will probably need to spend extra money to be able to find your comfort zone with it. My headaches aside, it's a great device. This is just my personal experience with it, I will definitely continue to use it and experiment with fitment to find my comfort zone.

The Oculus Quest 2 isn't just a virtual reality headset; it's a portal to another dimension, a gateway to experiences so vivid and captivating that you can easily see how soon it will blur the lines between the real and the virtual. From the moment you slip on the lightweight device (thanks to the Bobovr M2 Headstrap), the world around you fades away, replaced by a universe of awe-inspiring wonder. The immersion provided by the Oculus Quest 2 is nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of high-resolution visuals and an expansive field of view transports you to places you never thought possible. Whether you find yourself exploring the depths of the ocean, traversing alien landscapes, facing off against virtual opponents or hovering above a vast measure of water the sense of presence and even power is unparalleled. It's not just a medium for entertainment; it's largely that but it's also an adventure that unfolds right before your eyes. The sheer expansiveness of the Oculus Quest 2's library is staggering. From pulse-pounding action games to serene meditation experiences, there's something for everyone. The versatility of the platform means you can be a superhero in one moment and a space explorer in the next. The possibilities are as vast as your imagination, making each session a unique and thrilling journey. While the default headset provides a solid foundation, it's unfortunate that additional investments are needed for optimal comfort and audio quality. Upgrading to a deluxe head strap and investing in high-quality headphones is a must for those seeking the ultimate immersive experience. However, it's important to note that these add-ons, while enhancing comfort and audio, are only minor bumps on the road to an unforgettable adventure. The Oculus Quest 2's ability to evoke a sense of childlike giddiness is a testament to its transformative power. The joy of reaching out and interacting with a virtual world, the adrenaline rush of a perfectly executed maneuver, and the shared laughter with friends in a virtual space create moments that linger long after the headset is removed. Yes, there is a cost associated with reaching the pinnacle of comfort and sound quality, but consider it an investment in the full spectrum of emotions that the Oculus Quest 2 can evoke. The price fades into insignificance when compared to the value of the experiences it unlocks. I do declare the buy it worth it. Can't wait to experience the Quest 3.

Let me start by saying this is the first VR we have had. I have no way to compare the Oculus to any other VR. I really like the unit. It has amazing quality and is easy to use. You should be aware that it takes a while to get used to having them on your head and you can easily get motion sick. I suggest playing only games that don't have you flying around and only playing for about 15 minutes at a time for the first few weeks. Most of the games will cost you extra money but aren't that expensive. The reason I gave it a 4 star are twofold. First, the strap is junk. Just prepare to watch YouTube videos on after market straps and get one. Most on the market are way more comfortable than what comes with the unit. Second, you must have a Facebook account. That is extremely annoying to me. I know Facebook owns Oculus but what does one have to do with the other? As far as I'm concerned. Facebook is useless. Despite those two issues we as a family are loving the unit and enjoying the games.

Definitely recommend using the wrist straps, especially for little ones. Very fun system. And you’re not just sitting so a way for exercise too

Meta Quest 2 is a fun experience. Set up was pretty simple. Keep in mind you need a cell phone with the ability to download the app and a facebook account. It is relatively easy to use, but after some time (30 minutes) you’ll begin to feel light headed. At least in my experience. The battery life isnt the best, but given its more of a short gaming sessions - its okay! I do think if you’re looking into it, its worth a try! Even if its for the YouTube VR videos and not games.
