When I bought this I was not sure if I would like it but it turned out to be very easy to setup and was not at all what I thought it might be. The quality is amazing for the price and it is the best VR headset I have used so far.

Can two oldies enjoy Quest2 headsets?

Can two oldies enjoy virtual reality headsets? You betcha! We're not interested in shoot 'em up, fast-paced games, but thought-provoking ones like "The Room" are more our speed. There are, however, some cautions that more mature users need to consider: 1) The headset is heavy on the neck. We play standing up and generally forget about the discomfort when engrossed in the game, but later, we feel it in our neck and finger joints. There are accessories for a different head strap that can make the fit better. The Quest 1 "head fit" options were better. 2) Those with balance, and motion sickness issues will want to use the seated mode of play. 3) We can generally only get two hours of play per battery charge so we'll be purchasing a battery pack to prolongue our new mania.

This is our families second foray into VR the first being the Sony VR which we loved. Myself and my children love this VR set, my youngest loves gorilla tag and plays stand alone while my oldest plays steam games through his pc and we have had zero issues or dislikes with it. Is it perfect no, but we didn’t expect it to be. Is it entertaining and fun? Yes it is! We would highly recommend this product! We’ve had this exactly one year and it never has given us any issues. Things that could be improved: the sensitivity of the controls and orientation could be better and probably are on the metaquest 3 and the center head strap is a little cheap and could function better for sure. The monitors in each eye are crisp and sharp and the optics do well for sensing your eyes and eye tracking is very good. The sound quality is excellent for what it is and doesn’t sound terribly distorted at maximum level.

Assuming you are looking at this product, you already have an interest in VR. However, if you’re still questioning your purchase consider my review. The Quest 2 is a product that, from a company I hate and yet I still purchased it, after using a VR headset exactly one time. Compared to other VR headsets, it does not have the power that they can promise, due simply to the fact that they can plug into a PC or Console to run the graphics and computing; but again, that should not shy you away from the Meta Quest line of headsets, purely because the games built for it do run at high speeds and do not require a ton of power. While the internals are not the number one on the market, they run the games for the headset at a comfortable performance for any VR user. Most of all, the headset’s ability to run VR without cords allows for true immersion compared to other VR headsets, and that’s something that cannot be beat. Oculus (the Meta subsidiary truly responsible for the Meta Quest line of headsets) is the leader in VR technologies and has absolutely out done themselves with the Meta Quest 2, and has created a new market of BR users. For productivity, the Meta Quest is not what Meta would like you to believe, but with apps like Virtual Desktop or Immersive, which connect you to your Windows or Mac (or even Linux with Immersive) desktop productivity is easily achievable in distracting spaces, as they disconnect you from the attention-stealing devices and other nuisances of the real world. So if you are looking to use this headset for productivity, do not use Meta apps and do not leave your laptop behind. If you need any further convincing that this product is a absolutely worth the money, as mentioned before, I personally only used VR headsets a total of two times, and the Quest only once before buying it the next day, and the reason for that is, I did not believe in VR or the experiences it promised before purchasing the Meta Quest, but after using it, I see true potential in VR and, honestly, believe that the Meta Quest delivers on those experiences in the best way possible when compared to other products. Personally, I used to mock VR and the Metaverse idea before using the Quest but now I see a future where VR is far more useful than I previously thought. And the Meta Quest is the first step there.

I bought the Meta Quest 2 from Best Buy a few weeks ago, and it's honestly one of the best tech purchases I've made all year. As someone new to VR, I was a little nervous about spending this much, but after just a few sessions, I can say it was 100% worth it. The setup was surprisingly easy — within minutes I was inside virtual worlds playing Beat Saber and exploring immersive 3D environments. The image quality is sharp, the controllers are super responsive, and the tracking works even in my small living room. No wires, no PC needed — just turn it on and dive in. I do recommend upgrading the head strap for longer sessions since the default one can get uncomfortable after a while. Battery life is around 2–3 hours, which is fine for casual use, and charging is quick. Buying from Best Buy made the whole experience smooth. Fast delivery, solid packaging, and peace of mind knowing I could return or exchange if anything went wrong. I even earned some My Best Buy points! If you’ve ever been curious about VR — this is the one to start with. The Quest 2 completely changed how I see gaming and fitness. I highly recommend it.

Gameplay fun but battery ruins it

I love my vr. I got it from '21 Christmas. It has held up pretty well even while I have hit it on furniture several times and even left markings on the hand controllers. Only real complaint I have is the horrendous battery. You can charge this thing for 2 hours and only get 2 hours of play time. I recently just tried to charge it up to play a quick game of beat saber for 15 minutes. With 15 minutes of charge, it got to 5%. The vr is huge and you would expect it to have an efficient battery. Also if you have a lot of hair, poofy hair, or just an afro be careful as you might break the strap while you adjust it. My strap broke summer '22 when I had braids in my hair and tried adjusting the straps while it was still on my head. The straps are not strong like advertised, so be aware it still works perfectly fine, just a small inconvenience. I have to tie the straps like a shoe to secure it on my head. Another thing to add is you can easily connect this to a pc, which I did using airlink. It took a measly 5 minutes, connecting the vr nonetheless was not a major deal.

Very fun! I play it almost all the time now! Even better that it encourages me to exercise more and more. I won't even realize I'm starting to tire till an 1hr in. Only complant that it only has a 2 hour battery life so having an external battery bank is a must buy to play longer or buy the extended battery strap for the Oculus for another Hundred. Also not alot of VR games in the store but I'm sure they're working on it. I hear that if you have a PC, you can hook it up to the VR and buy compatible games off the Steam Store or you can buy the Virtual Desktop and link it to your Steam. Either way, not a regretful purchase, I'll be playing till they make VR even better.

Took a little while to get used to, but after a week or so the motion sickness sent away. Now I can use it for hours and still feel fine. Good range of games are available, and the 3D effect is amazing. If you attach it to your PC you will need at least a GTX1070. I tried using it in a machine with a GTX970 and it was not good. My other machine with a GTX1070 managed to get decent frame rates. Is a little heavy at the front and you might want to add a weight at the back to offset. I know you can buy an official Quest one, but I found an old Walkman gathering dust that fit the bill perfectly. Overall I highly recommend this, especially as it is so much cheaper than the alternatives.

I personally think that this bring a whole new world to gaming… literally. The oculus is very easy to use in my opinion. This makes you feel soo immersed into your game that it made me try to lean over on some crates that was in a game but wasn’t there in real life. Also they’re always coming out with new and better games so this is just the beginning. Just know that if you love gaming, and don’t mind breaking a sweat a little sometimes, this is definitely the item for you.

If you're planing on buying a vr this is a good deal. Not only its a reasonable price it comes with very good specs. I went from psvr to oculus and there is a difference which alot of people would agree with me on the difference it has is better tracking, better quality, better hz, better fps, more fun games, easy to calibrate. But to all good stuff they do have a con but there arent many cons. Going from psvr to oculus on pavr the motion controllers would talk about 12 or 13 hours to dechagre and the headset never decharges because of the wire(which i find the wire annoying if you move alot on vr) but depending on the oculus controller it mostly dependent on the battery but the con that sucks the most is battery life 3 hours of fun which 3 hours is a while but when you play and have fun that like 30 minutes an hour. But something that happends to me not sure about you guys js the dark gray soft thing on connected to the vr forbme when its only for a bit it starts to itch and hurt a tiny bit. But overall this headset is good recommend.

I bought the Meta Quest 2 during christmas last year, and hence I have been using it for a pretty good time now. I have had no issue with this and enjoyed every moment I have gone through with it. Just be advised though, since it is a virtual reality headset, the battery isn't the greatest, and tends to sometimes leave a red mark which is a little annoying but goes away after 30 minutes to an hour.

The meta quest 2 is honestly one of my favorite gadgets I have I mainly use it for watching movies or game night its really easy to use the only downside I have is that I get really fatigued if using it more than 30minutes because of how much it weighs but no other complaint it does what I need it to do

    A Great, Low-Cost All-in-One VR Package

Overall, I think the Quest 2 is a great VR headset as it provides a full VR experience without the requirement of a separate computer for a price far below any competitor. This doesn't mean that the Quest 2 necessarily provides an overall better experience, but as someone that has used the Vive, Vive Pro, Quest, and Samsung Odyssey, it's hard to ignore how much simpler this is. However, there are some worthwhile things to note for any prospective buyers: 1. Facebook did simplify the headset as a means to help reduce the cost. For example, IPD adjustment is not as effective on the Quest 2 as it was on the Quest. Interpupillary distance (IPD) refers to the space between your eyes, and it is important to get this value correct on your headset to avoid feeling like you're not staring cross-eyed. The original Quest provided a granular slider with options from 58mm to 72mm. The Quest 2 provides three settings: 58mm, 63mm, and 68mm, which are set via physically moving both lenses (at the same time) inward or outward where an indicator at the top center will display 1 (58mm), 2 (63mm) or 3 (68mm). This change was a bit problematic for me, because my IPD is 71mm, so I always feel a little bit cross-eyed while using the Quest as I'm forced to stare a bit inward instead of straight ahead. 2. You should consider getting accessories to better the overall experience. Probably the worst offender is that the provided strap is not terribly comfortable. The issue is that the Quest 2's weight is all located in the headset, which means you want a robust strap to allow for the back of your head to help remove the weight from your face. You can either consider the strap that Facebook sells separately or a strap from a third-party vendor. Personally, I use the latter. If you use glasses, I would also strongly consider getting prescription lens adapters, and if you don't, you can buy similar adapters with non-prescription lenses. The non-prescription lens can help protect your Quest 2's lenses. 3. If you are planning for a child to use this, be aware that the Quest 2's software does NOT support parental controls. Similarly, the Quest 2 currently requires a Facebook account, and if you would prefer that your child not use Facebook, you would need to create one for them to use with the Quest 2 or use your own. Facebook/Oculus have stated that they are looking to remove this requirement, but as of writing, nothing has been announced as to when this will occur. 4. You can use the headset with a computer if you want. The headset supports displaying computer-based VR either through a cable or wirelessly through WiFi. Just be aware that wireless will depend heavily upon your WiFi signal in the area that you're trying to use for play. In the end, I think the best way to look at the Quest 2 is that it provides a great VR experience for its price point. It's easy to point out how a headset like the HTC Vive Pro or the Valve Index are arguably better in certain ways, but they also cost considerably more and have additional hardware and setup requirements.

This is the 4th headset I’ve purchased from Best Buy!! I have one, my children, my nieces, and now by boyfriend. I purchased him one as a gift and he’s been playing it since!! It is a great way to burn calories, listen to music, and even watch a movie!! I love the fact that you do not have to have Facebook to use the headset. I even get my messages while on so I do not miss a thing. I highly recommend this purchase 100 times over!!

I got this as an early Christmas gift for my mother and to nobody’s surprise I’m on it more than her. This headset definitely has its pros cons. Let’s start with the bad. Cons • the battery life is not good at all. I’m not sure weather or not ours is defective or they just really want you to buy that extra battery pack. We don’t get a hour of playtime half the time before it needs to be plugged back in. • The googles will randomly go blurry sometimes. • Some games are just impossible to play weather sitting or standing because my character just seems so short and there is no way to adjust them. I’m 5’1 so I have no idea weather that plays a role or not (it takes your height for some games) • Characters are always crouched (which likely ties into what I said just above this) and there is no way to get them to stand up. • you can have multiple accounts on one headset but admin account is the only one that can connect to the headset and download from mobile • you cannot change admin user unless you factory reset the headset which means do not input your information FIRST into this headset if it’s a gift for someone because you will be admin not them. • teaching older family members how to use can and will be a pain in your behind especially if they don’t listen. • Games you uninstalled will remain visible on the device where your other games are. Do what you will with this knowledge. Pros • it’s standalone so you don’t need a PC to use it. • No wires so you can move around as you please just stay within your boundary zone or the headset will turn your game off and you’ll see your house in gray. • it’s pretty comfortable just adjust the straps. If it’s giving you a headache while you are playing the strap is too tight adjust it. • You can download games on the headset and your phone using the meta store or sidequest • the games are super fun and will definitely get your body moving. Battle Talent had me so sore the next day • it’s a great starter hesdset especially if you don’t know if you’ll get motion sickness or not turns out it’s a lot more common then you think 3/5 of my family members can’t use it because they get motion sickness. My mother and me being the only ones who can. • you can watch what someone is playing on your phone IF you are ADMIN. Remember only admin can connect their phone to the headset. • Downloading games is pretty quick. Unless you have the biggest head you don’t need that elite strap it doesn’t make it anymore or less comfortable. You might want that battery pack though or a longer charging cable because you can play it while it’s plugged in the cord provided is just too short.

I recently purchased two of the Occulus game consoles for Christmas for both of my children. They were so excited to open the Occulus to play it, we let them open their gifts the night before. The kids played all night on the consoles until the Occulus needed charging. My husband and I tried them out, and the graphics made you feel as though everything was real and not in the game, so much so that my husband ran right into the wall lol. My family rated the Occulus’s a 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to any family to enjoy a lifelike experience within the comfort of their own home.

The Meta Quest 2 Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset, equipped with 128GB of storage, is a compelling entry into the world of virtual reality. After experiencing what it has to offer, it's evident that this headset excels in several areas but has some room for improvement. Pros: 1. Impressive Performance (4/5): The Quest 2 Advanced delivers remarkable VR performance, thanks to its powerful Snapdragon XR2 processor and a high-resolution display. Games and experiences run smoothly, providing immersive and captivating VR moments. 2. Wireless Freedom (4/5): The wireless design of the Quest 2 Advanced enhances the VR experience by allowing freedom of movement without being tethered to a PC or console. It's a major selling point for those seeking untethered VR experiences. 3. Easy Setup (4/5): Setting up the headset is relatively straightforward, and the user-friendly interface guides you through the process. The headset's built-in sensors help define your play area, making it accessible for VR newcomers. 4. Expansive Game Library (4/5): The Meta Quest 2 offers access to a vast library of VR games and experiences via the Oculus store. There's a diverse range of titles to suit various tastes and preferences, from action-packed games to relaxing exploration experiences. 5. 128GB Storage (4/5): The 128GB storage option provides ample space for downloading and storing VR content. This is especially useful for users who want to enjoy a variety of games and apps without worrying about storage constraints. Cons: 1. Mandatory Facebook Account (3/5): One of the drawbacks is the requirement for a Facebook account, which can be a concern for users who value privacy or prefer not to use social media platforms. 2. Limited Battery Life (3/5): The Quest 2 Advanced's battery life, while decent, may not be sufficient for extended VR sessions. Users may need to take breaks or have a charging plan in place for longer playtimes. 3. Comfort (3/5): The headset's comfort may vary from user to user. Some may find it comfortable for extended periods, while others might experience discomfort or pressure points, especially during longer sessions. 4. Visual Clarity (4/5): While the Quest 2 Advanced offers a high-resolution display, there is still some room for improvement in terms of eliminating the screen door effect and optimizing for perfect clarity. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Meta Quest 2 Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset with 128GB of storage is a commendable VR device that provides an immersive and wireless VR experience. Its impressive performance, extensive game library, and easy setup make it a strong contender in the VR market. However, considerations like the mandatory Facebook account, limited battery life, comfort, and visual clarity are factors that potential buyers should weigh based on their personal preferences and needs. Overall, the Quest 2 Advanced is an exciting gateway into virtual reality, offering a taste of what the VR world has to offer.
