Purchased this so our son could do a baseball training app. I struggled to give it 4 stars and not 3. First, its dependent upon Facebook to operate. Facebook went down and the headset wouldn't work. It seems like they would have this operating separately and not dependent on it. Also the headset has been glitchy since the crash that happened at Facebook. The battery life on it isn't the greatest but fortunately you can attach an external pack. Laat but not least is the app store. I browse through it and I feel as if i dont see all of the games. I typed a few in search to find but i didnt see those games when I went to Browse All.
Now you're wondering why 4 stars then. Well it's because its still pretty neat. My son can train and take BP in the garage whenever he wants. Although there seems to be a lack of blockbuster games so far, there are still some cool games in the store. Also you can expand the library by using as PCVR. I like to tinker so you can modify the headset to how you like it. So far we've added a halo headstrap but will do a battery pack and RX lenses in it. So for $299 its a pretty cool item.

I bought this for my son. He put it on me and it was AMAZING!!! The graphics are so cool. It's Like you were really inside of it. He uses this EVERY DAY. I was skeptical because of the price, but it is worth the money. He plays with people from all over the world, and has so much fun. Hours of entertainment!

Really have enjoyed having this VR headset. Nothing like being able to slash away at some virtual fruit or sling some boxes on BeatSaber without having to be attached to a wire or computer.

The quest 2 is MUCH better than the Rift S.. because it is wireless and easy to use. The screen is pretty good no real issues, the only thing that bugs me is the headset feels a little heavy on my head.. after 45 mins of playtime i can feel it bringing my neck down, other than that must HAVE VR headset.

The Oculus Quest 2 is a revolutionary piece of technology that seamlessly merges virtual reality with an unparalleled sense of freedom and immersion. As an avid enthusiast of the virtual reality realm, I can confidently say that this device sets a new benchmark for VR experiences.
One of the most impressive aspects of the Oculus Quest 2 is its standalone nature. Gone are the wires and the need for an external computer or console; this all-in-one headset liberates you from any restrictions, allowing you to venture into virtual worlds with effortless ease. With its powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor, the Quest 2 delivers smooth performance and breathtaking visuals, ensuring that every experience feels astonishingly lifelike.

Oculus is an amazing VR headset for the price. It truly is and does so much. If you’re like me, you’ll have to limit your play time otherwise you’ll get nauseous so remember to take breaks. My favorite past time with this is to kick back and watch Netflix on the gigantic simulates theater room. Very very cool. Since purchasing one, I have upgraded to the elite headset which is far better than the included one in the box. The stock one will cause you a headache over time.

My son loves this VR! He plays all his favorite games with his friends and family and my wife and I get quite the entertainment from their conversations and outburst when doing team play, haha! He also gets to hear us a lot having to yell out, STOP BEING SO LOUD WE HAVE NEIGHBORS! Lol

This is my first and only VR experience. With that said, in just the first few minutes, during the setup and updating process, my mouth was agape. The tutorial had me smiling in wonder at the feeling of immersion. The apps available natively to the Quest 2 are varied and fun, if not cheap, but there are demos and free games out there. We like is so much, we are probably buying a second in the near future.
However, my favorite piece of this requires use of a decent PC and fast Wi-Fi: Oculus AirLink, currently in Beta, is a cable free connection to the Oculus program on your computer that allows use of Oculus Rift and Steam VR games. These are generally games that need the extra processing power of a real GPU, and offer better graphics and more complex environments than the Quest alone can provide. Google Earth VR, a free app that isn't on the Quest natively is, for me, worth the price of admission on its own. Being able to walk among the skyscrapers of NYC, or play Gojira in Tokyo is awe inspiring.
A couple of minor cons: Battery life is poor. During our first days, when we were using it especially heavily, I had a battery pack and USB-C cable connected to the Quest that we'd swap into pockets to add play time. They make improved head-strap setups that include provisions for holding a battery.
About that strap, some in my family complained about it, so we may be shopping for an upgrade. I can live with it, however.
In low light, the guardian, the virtual barrier that is set to keep you from running into walls, can flake out, dropping you out of the game.
And lastly, a big con for some folks: This requires an active, real, Facebook account. Deactivating your account deactivates your Quest. Deleting you account deletes, permanently, all of your purchased apps, with no refund. There are lots of reports regarding problems with folks using fake names, secondary accounts, other folk's accounts, etc. When there are problems, Facebook will delete or lock accounts, and render your Quest a brick. Customer service is reportedly horrendous when trying to fix these problems. My advice would be to use your real account, don't fudge around, and you should be fine. Yes, they are tracking you, Yes they are subsidizing the prices of these thing by commodifying your data. However, unless you are already complete social media hermit, getting in bed a little deeper isn't going to alter your data footprint in any significant way. If you are here shopping on Amazon with a cellphone in your hand or pocket, worrying about Facebook is sort of pointless.
TL;DR - GET ONE. It's a great value within the reach of many people. You can have a ton of fun without a PC, and even more with one.

Great fun for my son. It gets him moving! Quality is good, but wish we had a choice of colors since the white gets pretty dirty. It's comfortable for him. I won't use it because it makes me dizzy.

The quest two is a lot of fun!! I think it was one of the best Christmas gifts I ever bought for my kids because they played the crap out of it. I’m looking to upgrade to the quest three just cause I like to try out the new ones but the quest two is pretty well especially for entry level. I had was the stock head strap. I’m sure you’ve already heard if you’re looking into this product but on Amazon I purchased a better head strap that also came with the battery pack so that was great as well but great product really fun. Lots of fun for family adults kids high quality as well.

I love this!!!! My only regret is not getting it earlier. I put off getting a VR headset for way too long! I finally decided to go for the Oculus Quest 2 mainly because I liked the idea of needing to be tethered to a computer or a console and some games can even be played without an internet connection! So I can pack this little guy in a backpack and play anywhere anytime! The very first game I purchased and played was Beat Saber, which I had been wanting to ply for a long time. I’ve only played a few other games, but the experience of VR is incredibly cool! It’s completely different from playing console games with a controller in front of a tv!

If you get motion sickness this isn’t the gaming system for you. Once you get it set up make sure you create your room boundary’s or you will run into things. Also make sure you put your hands through the loops and tighten them so you don’t accidentally throw the controllers. We are considering buying rechargeable batteries for the remotes as well. There are a ton of free demo games once you set up your VR headset but you can buy games there as well. I wish we could buy the game codes at Best Buy but all they offer is the gift cards which I guess work the same as well.

Bought for my 9 and 10 year old boys. Easy to use and navigate, but our only issue is battery life. You only get 30 minutes or so of play time and it's dead.
