I like this better than my original rift as no pc tethering requirement. Although you can tether to a PC to play the more demanding games. Priced decently but no killer game/use case yet. I wish they come up with a lifelike tennis racket/baseball controller and come up with a game that immerses you in a reality where you are playing federer. Also games cost more than they should given the gameplay duration. Oculus VR is still a good gimmick and not a must buy

I was always skeptical about playing VR games, but I was tired of the same old call of duty console games so I decided to buy one anyways ! Absolutely love it! You technically are the controller with your movements and you’re really part of the game . Love the experience.

So much fun! Got this for my husband for Valentines' Day. I was a bit upset as when I went to get my credit card to place my online order the delivery time changed to days later. I contacted customer service to see if there was anything that could be done to get it sooner and the person I chatted with wasn't very helpful - she said "if I could wave a magic wand and make something ship faster I would". Which she could because within 3 minutes from running downstairs to grab my credit card the delivery date changed. I could get it by Saturday for free to I can get it by Saturday if I paid an additional $20.00. So, it was possible, I wasn't asking for something that was impossible. Anyway, I decided not to spend the additional $20 and it still ended up getting here on Saturday :) I was so happy that I was able to give it to my husband on Valentines' Day. Even though the customer service rep wasn't the most helpful - I am a big fan of ordering my electronics from Best Buy. Their customer service is normally stellar and their selections are top-notch.

Coming from an Oculus Rift, the ease of setup with the Quest is kind of a game changer. I was able to just charge it up, stick in on my head and with a few minutes of setting up accounts, connecting to wifi, and play space, I was good to go to start browsing and downloading games (vs the Rift which required a gaming PC, setting up wired sensors and a wired headset). It's essentially a handheld console in terms of being able to bring it with me to a friend's place and be good to play within minutes. Be aware that this currently requires you to link a Facebook account even if you have a separate Oculus Account. If you currently/previously owned an Oculus headset, be aware that not all games are crossbuy (eg, I bought Beat Saber for the Rift but had to repurchase for the Quest 2. I have RoboRecall on the Rift and it was available for me to download on Quest for free). I would recommend getting a different headband since the stock headband isn't comfortable.

The VR experience to compare to

Great VR experience but you need to know that you will be spending extra money to get the software to play and it can be pricy. However, it is easy to use and lots of fun. I found that it was worth the upgrading to the better quality head strap and the better quality foam around the face part.

Fun to play, easy to set up. Lots of games available. Recommend looking into setting up airlink if you want to play Steam VR games also. Consider getting just the 128 GB version since game sizes are small and easy to delete. 256 storage isnt necessary

So I've had my Oculus Quest 2 for a few weeks now and I love it. I was out of doing gaming for a while but my kids convinced me to give it a try. For the price you can't beat this thing to get into VR. The sound is very amazing considering you don't have actual head sets on. It is very immersive and real feel experience. A couple of small critiques but nothing that would stop me from recommending. 1. The battery life isn't that great but you can resolve that by plugging in an external battery pack. 2. On the hand controllers, I keep pushing the button that pauses the game. I'm sure there may be a way to adjust that in the settings but I haven't figured that out yet. 3. I did try and connect my Sony blue tooth headset and although it did work, it slowed down the gaming experience and made things jittery. But you can hook up the headset to a audio jack on the Quest 2 and headphones so that is a work around. So I will give a huge thumbs up to this!

Great VR set. Impressive quality for the price. I got this for my kids and although I admit they don't put it on as much as I thought they wound but that is just because their interests keep changing to other things. But I still love it, and it still delivers amazing 3D graphics and content.

Fantastic upgrade to the original Rift, with no more screen door effect, providing the best of both worlds (wireless and wired to play more power hungry games), and NO MORE SENSOR STANDS! Extremely easy setup. Improvements: Be prepared to spend extra for a more comfortable, weight distributed, head strap. It will definitely be a requirement for longer play. FYI: You must have a Facebook account. I’m not a fan, but locking down privacy settings helps.

You Gotta Try it for Yourself!

As a "gamer," I was skeptical about VR. But after years of encouragement and nagging from friends, I finally coughed up the dough a ordered myself a set. It's awesome. Like, I put the headset on, I don't want to come out. The games are really fun, the entertainment is awesome, and in some cases, you can get quite the workout from some of the apps (there are even fitness apps, which I haven't tried yet, I'm just talking games alone, but I'm looking forward to trying everything else the Oculus has to offer). All in all, they are amazing. After buying a set for myself, my family started buying their own, and we've been playing online together. There's even a microphone so you can chat live with the people you're playing with (or against). What surprised me the most, was how good the built in sound quality is on the unit itself, without headphones. But if you want the full immersive experience, I do recommend a pair of noise-cancelling ones. The reason it loses one star from me is that the battery life is abysmal, topping out at around two and a half hours, with a charge time of about an hour and a half. Additionally, it doesn't really show you everything it's capable of. You have to figure out a lot of things on your own, but that can also be a lot of fun, as you discover all sortsa new features you didn't even know the thing was capable of. At the end of the day, I'd still rather play video games traditionally in front of a television screen with a controller, but this is definitely worthy the moniker of being one your "game systems." The best I can say is that you need to try it for yourself. Bite the bullet and buy one, or find a friend who has one and demo it, because chances are, you'll be picking up one for yourself after. It's absolutely worth the money.
