    Awesome Next Gen Gaming Platform

All I can say is that I am completely blown away by how well put together, versatile and functional the Oculus Quest 2 is versus the HTC Vive Cosmos Elite system. Two great gaming libraries (Hint, 4 Star Wars games in the Steam and Oculus Rift Stores combied). AN the headset is light, not cumbersome... and for some reason, when I put it on... it fits just right, out of the box, and my vision, with glasses, adjusted properly. With the VIVE... I have to keep adjusting the focus... every time, during games, out of games... And the versatility of playing Oculus RIFT PC VR games from the store... on this device... via the seperately purchased USB-C cable (I would encourage ANYONE to watch a Youtube video or two and purchase a nice 3rd party cable for a fraction of the price) just expands the entire platform. THen once you have wireless Remote Desktop opened back up to your desktop PC.... whole new ball game...

    The Oasis is Real!

HOLY CRAP!!! VR is finally here and affordable. I have been on the fence about buying into VR. Afraid it was a fad (3D TV's *cough) and the wow factor would wear off in a week and the unit would just sit in the corner collecting dust. I'm glad I jumped off that fence and got a Quest 2. The reason I chose the Quest is it's ability to be a stand alone unit yet, works perfectly fine with a USB-C 3.0 or higher cable (or if you're lucky enough to have good enough internet, you can use Virtual Desktop, to ditch the cable and run PCVR wirelessly.) You do need to have a some what decent computer. I'm currently running it with a relatively new gaming laptop and it runs decently. If you were like me, do yourself a favour and just buy it already. Take the plunge and see you in the Oasis! Pro-tip: Vive has a service called Viveport, that is kind of like Game Pass. Where you pay a monthly subscription and you can play as many games as you like.

This is my first and only VR experience. Got mine delivered really fast. I was able to set up everything with no problem and with ease. Truly a awesome experience to be in a virtual world. You actually forget that what you see isn't actually real. I found myself oftentimes carefully not bumping into the i.e. furniture in the virtual world when it was just space and nothingness outside of it. One of the coolest features I am stumped about is that if you leave a certain area that you have previously marked, the headset has a grayscale camera that reveals what's in front of you. This is extremely useful for safety measures as it alerts you if you stray too far from your marked territory. Absolutely love it! Also, the headset lasts for about two hours before you need to recharge if you're playing games nonstop.

Best Christmas gift for teenagers. It is very another option from Oculus that you don’t have to connect with PC. The graphics is very good and I tried it myself... just feel so real and enjoy the games. Battery life last about 2-3 hrs without getting the extra battery.

The VR experience is a vast step forward for gaming. But what is also great is the ability to use it to visit far off places in a virtual, 360 degree view. My only issue is the battery life is only about 2.5 hours. It also did not work when I took it to someone else's house, although it was connected to their wifi. Overall, it is a true advancement in technology, and it is fun, no doubt.

After playing with my brother's Rift VRH, my husband and I immediately started researching VR headsets. Considering we don't currently have a gaming PC, this was the best option out there for us, and it allows us to play with/against my brother and his family on various games. We've been enjoying it so much, I'm considering getting my own. The only downside right now is that not all of the apps are currently App-Sharing, so with games like Beat Saber, I'm going to have to purchase my own copy of the game plus all the add-on songs we already bought under my husband's account, so I can have my own scores. It does have a short battery life (about 2 hours) but we attached a mobile power bank to the oculus and stuck it in a back pocket for extra play time, and that worked. I also recommend the lightweight Quest 2 carrying case for basic storage/protection when not using it.

Overall I really enjoy this system. It is completely self-contained so you are tied to another system. Only complaint is it is not really glasses friendly. I have to wear an old pair to avoid scratching up my current ones (even with the extra face insert for glasses on).

I upgraded from my Oculus Go since the device is no longer supported. The one thing I don't like is a lot of the games from Oculus Go that were free are not free on this device so I have to purchase them because they don't convert over. Other than that no issues.

Really like the VR and we hook it up to the steam VR and play those games. However every time I play I tend to get a headache so you may want to look into a counterweight. And also I kept having problems with seeing clearly don't forget that you can move the lenses there's three different settings just move them side to side and they click. Not as easy to use as I like but me and whole family love.

Amazing device! Only two unavoidable issues: 1) the weight on your face becomes an issue due to the length of time you are likely to enjoy the experience, and 2) the possibility of vertigo for folks who are prone to motion sickness.

Very fun, friends and family love it as well. Quality is actually amazing inside the headset and it doesn't hurt my head most of the time. Games take up little storage and they're cheaper compared to games on other platforms. The portable-ness is the best part.

My advice: if you’re buying for kids, just make sure you have them research the system, and get them to list some games that they’ve either got to try or watched properly what the gameplay is like. If they can name enough games and explain the gameplay - get it. It’s worth the extra if you or your kids frequently play multiple games, and it’s worth it to get the oculus quest opposed to other options because it’s wire free. VR is truly getting sufficiently advanced to justify spending a little more to get the most uninhibited experience. Like I said though, make sure if it’s for kids they really understand the gameplay of the games they’re excited for, reminds me a bit of NES or SNES days - the fun artwork and hype around a game might not be what you’re expecting. Worth it if you know what you’re getting and enjoy that, just make sure your kid understands they aren’t yet entering the Oasis. :)
