As a gamer and technology enthusiast, I’m usually excited about new consoles, gadgets and technology. However, VR was not one of those things. When Zuck outlined his vision for the metaverse, I was intrigued by the fact that if this takes off, it creates a whole new digital economy with new business opportunities for creators and artists alike. So I picked up a headset to see what all the hype was about. Wow, was I blown away! The Q2 presented me with a digital experience that was far beyond my expectations. It really opened my eyes to a new world that I didn’t think twice about before but I’m happy I took a chance on it. While it is an impressive display of tech, it falls short on a few key marks. 1. The headset is not extremely comfortable for long periods of time. Even with the Elite strap with battery, I still find that it weighs my head down and my neck and shoulders get tight, so it isn’t as well balanced as I hoped. 2. The IPD adjustment is fixed to three specific positions. 58mm, 63mm, and 68mm. My IPD measures as 66mm, so it will never match my IPD for a perfect display alignment. The image is good, but its not as crisp and sharp as i’d really like it to be. Hopefully Meta develops and implements software adjustments for users like me with an IPD that lands between their fixed positions. 3. While the variety of software is good, it’s not great. I’d love to see a wider selection of more casual and social style offerings and options that aren’t infilitrated with 11 year-olds. On the flip side, there are outstanding titles to play like “Golf+” and “PokerStars VR” and i’m sure in time, the titles will grow and expand into great franchises and VR experiences. If you’re still a skeptic, try one out first and see if you like it before purchasing one. If you’re on the edge and leaning towards getting a Q2, take the leap, you will be glad you did. Just don’t expect everything to be perfect and refined, there is certainly still room for improvement on Q2 and as long as you maintain reasonable expectations, there’s a lot of fun and exciting new experiences to be had as you explore the world of VR. Bottom Line: It’s good, not great but Quest 2 is dripping with potential and possibility.

I do not play the system it was a gift for my nephew. He seems to like it. I got him the PlayStation one last year. I do know he likes the Oculus better. I noticed One thing for paying 420 20 some odd dollars. You would think that they could put a ratchet twist on the headband to adjust it! Come on now!!! Other than that he seems to love it.t I like that you don't have wires that get all wrapped up i around u. I do think it's easier to set up than the PlayStation VR. I don't know maybe because I set up the VR last year.

The Oculus -Quest 2 takes gaming to whole new level. I bought this for my son who is a huge gamer , but checked it out myself. It offers a variety of virtual experiences and you don't need to be a gamer to enjoy it . There are apps and videos that allow you see nature and exotic places in a exciting new way and it feels like you are actually there. I'm looking forward to more exploration.
