A Year Later and Still Loving It!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my Meta Quest 2 (256GB) for about a year now, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. The setup was super easy, and the VR experience has been nothing short of amazing. I love the clarity and the immersive feeling—it really does feel like you’re transported into another world. The performance is smooth, even for more graphic-intensive games. Plus, having 256GB of storage means I don’t have to worry about running out of space anytime soon. I use it for everything from gaming to watching movies in VR, and it’s perfect for both. The battery life is decent, though I do tend to keep it plugged in during longer sessions. The fit is comfortable, and after adjusting the straps, it feels secure, even during intense movements. My only slight gripe would be that the controllers can sometimes lose tracking if you get too far from the sensors or have something blocking them. But honestly, this doesn’t happen often enough to be a major issue. Overall, it’s an incredible device for the price, and I’m still discovering new features and experiences after a year of use. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a versatile VR headset!

Buyer Beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As of this writing December 13 my order of 2 Oculus Quest VR headsets is two weeks ago. The items were listed available when I placed the order. They have listed as shipped November 30. But they were not shipped. Tracking clearly says USPS doesn't have the package. I am a victim of a scam by Best Buy that won't allow a refund as long as they list items as shipped. I have a case number that was my attempt to cancel the order. But it isn't cancelled. I'm now paying a credit card bill of $900 for merchandise I may never get to avoid damaging my credit. Recommend verifying irrefutably anything you intend to order and ship before completing an online purchase with Best Buy. Of course the Oculus Quest 2 is probably great fun. But I won't know that before Christmas or maybe ever as far as I can tell.

Don’t waste your money. Or time.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the physical product seems great, but the app you need to use the product is terrible. Support for the product is even worse. I’ll own this for less than 24 hours. Picked it up at 7pm. I’ll be first in line at Best Buy at the store in the morning to return it. Found all the bad reviews for trying to get logged in while searching for a solution. Tech support did the typical delete and reinstall the app - and then gave up. It literally spins the wheel of login death for as long as you’ll keep the app open…

Review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Meta Quest 2 for a couple of months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. Whether you’re new to virtual reality or already familiar with it, this headset delivers an incredible experience. First, the setup is super easy. You don’t need a PC or external sensors—everything is built into the headset. It’s lightweight and fits comfortably, even for longer sessions. I wear glasses, and I had no issues with the fit, though you might want to get a third-party face pad for extra comfort. The visuals are stunning. The resolution is crisp, and the colors are vibrant. I was blown away the first time I loaded up a game like Beat Saber or explored virtual environments in apps like Wander. The performance is smooth, and I’ve had no issues with lag or glitches. What I love most is the versatility. You can use it as a standalone device with its built-in games and apps, or you can connect it to a PC (either wired or wirelessly) for even more powerful experiences like Half-Life: Alyx. The wireless PC streaming feature (Air Link) works surprisingly well and makes everything feel seamless. The controllers are easy to use and feel natural in your hands. They’re super responsive, and the battery life is excellent—I’ve only had to replace the batteries once so far. The hand-tracking feature is also cool, though it’s not perfect yet. One downside is the battery life of the headset itself. You’ll get about 2-3 hours, which is fine for most sessions but can feel limiting if you’re really immersed in a game or app. I recommend getting the Elite Strap with Battery if you want longer playtime. Also, you need to create a Meta account to use the headset, which some people might find annoying, but it hasn’t bothered me much. Overall, the Meta Quest 2 is an amazing device that’s perfect for gaming, fitness, or just exploring virtual worlds. It’s easy to use, has a massive library of apps and games, and offers great value for the price. If you’re on the fence about VR, this is definitely the headset to start with!

Unforgettable Immersion with Meta's Quest 2 - A Fa
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I write this review after countless hours spent in a world made virtually real by the Meta Quest 2 Advanced All-in-One Virtual Reality Headset - 256GB. A powerhouse of a device, it has transformed the way my family and I view and interact with digital entertainment. From the moment I unboxed the headset, the level of detail and thoughtful design became apparent. The slick, comfortable fit, the intuitive controls, and the crisp display immersed me in a realm of interactive experiences that were previously unimaginable. Coupled with the immense 256GB storage, I was able to download and explore an impressive library of games and applications, all without the worry of running out of space. The device's standalone nature, free from any constraining wires or tethering to a PC, was a game-changer. Whether I was navigating the deck of a space station or leisurely creating a masterpiece in a 3D art studio, the untethered mobility truly augmented the immersive nature of my virtual experiences. Meta has done an outstanding job with the UI, which is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for the less tech-savvy members of my family. My kids were drawn to the engaging, family-friendly games, while my wife found the interactive fitness apps both fun and effective. Not to mention the social apps that allowed us to interact with family and friends in a virtual environment, even when miles apart. One of the defining features of the Meta Quest 2 is its advanced, all-in-one technology. The device's incredible resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate provide a smooth and visually stunning VR experience. As for audio, the built-in spatial audio truly rounds off the immersive nature of the device. With these features combined, I found myself forgetting the virtual world wasn't real at times. But it wasn't all just fun and games. The Quest 2 proved to be an excellent tool for work and productivity as well, with features allowing virtual meetings and collaborations. It was truly an immersive way to connect and work with colleagues remotely. In terms of battery life, it surpassed my expectations, providing hours of entertainment before needing a recharge. And once it was time to power up, the device charged quickly, ensuring we were back to our virtual adventures in no time. All in all, the Meta Quest 2 VR headset brought to my family a world of joy, entertainment, and even fitness, right in the comfort of our living room. The awe-inspiring immersion, versatility of applications, ease of use, and overall quality of this device has made it a worthy investment, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly remarkable VR experience. The future of digital entertainment is here, and it's incredibly exciting.

Fun for all ages
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a game changer in so many ways. What uses does it not have. Great for people of all ages. There are videos and games for the very active and inactive and ways to help you become more active. The quality of item is great. This is our third purchase because we want to do the games as a family. If you love to fish but can’t get to the lake this is your place. Want to gold or play putt putt this is your place and even ride a virtual roller coaster. I find the elite head strap most comfortable than regular but it is great.

Excellent! (If you don't mind a Facebook Account)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been having an excellent time with the headset! No problems so far, a ton of fun to be had, and with PC titles possible via a wireless link to my network (my PC does need to be connected to my ethernet network via a hardwire cable for reliability and speed, but it was anyway so it didn't really matter). I've owned the Oculus DK1, DK2, and the CV1, and it's been a blast following the legacy that original Kickstarter all those years ago has been leaving. Every time I used my CV1, I would think to myself, "this would be perfect, if only I didn't need this cable hanging from my head". It was literally the one hang-up I'd had with the platform. Well, when the headset is doing what it's designed for - playing games on its native android environment - let me tell you, I've finally gotten lost in VR. I'll take my headset off and legitimately have no idea which way I'd turned, the world presented to me via this technology being just that enveloping. Mind, you never forget you're using VR - it's not a magical experience, and it's nowhere near approaching "The Matrix" films, but ever since the CV1 it really has been something special. Less the cable with better resolution, no dedicated computer required, and no extra cables to run - yes, this one's worth it for most people. Now, if you happen to already have a PC with strong enough hardware and it happens to be connected to your network via a hardwire cable (or can be), then a wireless link to your PC is not only possible, it's downright viable - enjoyable even. I've been using it to play the PC version of VRChat wirelessly on my Quest 2. And, it doesn't have to be in the same room as your PC if your cable is long enough. Honestly, this is the best price I genuinely believe anyone will find on a headset with the features this one has. Now, that's very likely due to the fact that you require a Facebook account to use the headset. At least for the first time you power it on, you'll need to connect it to the internet and log into your Facebook account. This may, rightfully, skeeve some people out. If you're one who just can't allow Facebook to pervade any experience you have or if you just do not want to create a Facebook account then I'd look elsewhere for your VR fix. Just know that, for this monetary price tag, there's far more here than I expected, having a lot of experience in VR - and specifically with Oculus - under my belt.

Awesome product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oculus is an incredible piece of technology. The graphics and the immersive world you enter is just incredible when you see a picture of a mountain you actually feel you're right there on the mountain. A few the games we've bought have been incredible The graphics such as games like Vader Immortal you really feel a part of the game. I also love being able to watch my son play and connecting the Oculus to my cell phone I'm able to see what he sees and I can help him out when he has questions or need help with being able to find or do things. Definitely worth the investment it's really a lot of fun.

Fun for the whole Family
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We initially purchased this for one of my sons for an Easter present. It wasn't long before we needed to buy another one, and another... In the end, we had 5 total and the whole family was playing together throughout the house. If i can't get my boys to go out and do things outdoors, this is a second best thing. I like it for getting in some aerobic exercise in when I don't have the time or coverage to make it to the gym.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son absolutly loves his oculus. He plays on it all the time. I have also tried playing it as well and you really feel like you are in the game. The controllers are very well made and easy to use. The headset is really comfortable and stays in place really well. The sound is very clear. Also the price is very reasonable and worth it.
