I feel Like I’m in a different world and all of it looks so realistic. It’s always fun to have elderly people put it on and ride the rollercoaster

This has been a lot of fun but it takes some getting used to. My first experience using this device. I wish it came with more games though. I can't seem to get past the first wall in Climb. Still trying to figure it out since there aren't any real instructions with the games. I've purchased a few already in the two months I've had it. The meditation subscription Tripp is wonderful. The visual imagery is amazing to me. The head strap that comes with it is very uncomfortable with hard plastic pieces. It's worth the money to get the more comfortable head set.

    Great introduction to VR

I've never really used vr before (well except a quick try of google cardboard but compared to the quest that was very primative), but I really wanted to get into it without having to also shell out for a souped up pc to connect to a headset. So when I found out about the quest and how it can run in either standalone or tethered mode I was excited to give it a shot. Pros are the guardian system works very well, I was worried about knocking into walls and stuff in my small room but having the ability to draw a safe boundary is awesome. I also like that you can side load android apks, which extend the usefulness of the quest. Additionally the controllers work very well and the AA batteries last quite awhile. Build quality is superb, no worries everything could take a good whack and still work fine. Cons are the headset battery isn't so great (around 2 hours of heavy use), the strap that comes with the headset is pretty uncomfortable, and no native support for usb otg devices plugged in to usb c (though this can be worked around using android file browsers but it's not ideal). Finally my biggest gripe at the moment is that while the oculus store has some amazing games that will give some unique experiences, the selection just isn't very big right now and some of the pricing is questionable ($25 for some rather short 2-3 hour games with little replayability is steep imo). And last but not least is I've found certain fast moving games tend to make me rather motion sick after a little while (this isn't a knock on the product, but something I need to work on personally lol and may affect other's purchasing decision). Now this can change in the future, and I really hope more developers adopt the platform to release even more content going forward. That's what I think the future of the quest hinges on, the store environment growing into something like the apple store or google play. Anyway all in all because of the strengths and in spite of the weaknesses I think the current iteration of the quest is definitely worth the asking price and I look forward to seeing future versions and how they shape the vr landscape!

Fun and much more manageable than the previous generations. Playing games on it is fun and even funnier watching the player doing goofy movements. Its a simple setup, no excessive wires or huge battery packs and can be used with Steam so thats a plus. The only downside is the option for expandable memory and there should be an option for that or a way to offload data or games to a storage device for rotating.

I was a little skeptical about the Quest as I found Oculus's previous product clunky and annoying to set up. The Quest is VERY different. No computer needed, and set up is quite easy. The technology has improved immensely as well, with much less motion sickness. The games are frighteningly realistic (and Beat Saber is especially fun for the Star Wars fans out there). Your friends can watch along with the phone app, which makes it a much more group-friendly activity. I highly recommend it!
