The Oculus Quest 2 brings affordable quality VR to the masses, but it's still lacking in many areas that may make you want to delay your purchase. Using an Oculus requires a Facebook account and the mobile app. If you have more than one person in your household, you'll have to share an account as switching accounts requires a factory reset. Unlike almost every modern gaming platform, you can't setup "Family Sharing" for games/apps. If you have multiple devices and want to play a game you purchased on another device, you have to purchase it multiple times or use a single account on all devices. This limitation doesn't exist on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or Steam... It's a deal breaker for families.

The device itself is impressive. But the support after the sale, is the worst I've ever experienced. I owned the Quest 1, and bought lots of games. When I received the Quest 2, it requires you to consolidate with your Facebook account. I did so, having an active Facebook account for 10+ years. However, after doing so their Oculus store would no longer accept any of my payment methods(I've got plenty of valid options). It will not let me add any payment options, giving an error message that payment methods cannot be added at this time. I started a case with their customer service team 11 days ago, and nothing has been done. I ask for an update regularly, and receive no response. So I haven't been able to order a single game for my Quest 2. Oculus is never going to resolve the issue, their customer service just offers a refund. I don't want a refund, I want the issue resolved, as now I can't even buy games for my Quest 1 or Rift. I've seen numerous people complaining about having the same exact issue in Oculus forums. Oculus just advises them to open a ticket, but have not resolved the issue for anyone. Worst customer service ever.

Son loves it. I’m excited to try it out with more games we get. It is Packaged well when shipped - plus had gotten 2 year warranty for $80 for damages/replacements.

This is the craziest thing I've ever experienced! I'm older than most people who have this. I was born in 1959.so this is the closest thing to just MAGIC! to me.

The hardware is pretty nice. But Facebook has completely destroyed this thing. As others have said, you have to have an active facebook account to use the quest 2. Active is the key word. You can't just create a facebook account and be good to go. You have to actively USE that facebook account. Social media just doesn't interest me. Not for any political reason... it's just not my thing. I'm not on facebook, twitter, parler, none of it. But I created a valid facebook account (real name, all that) just to get the quest up and running. Off I went getting lost in the VR world. It was great while it lasted. But after just two short weeks, my oculus was locked down. Why? Because my facebook account was suspended. I never logged into it. Never sent or accepted friend requests and never made any posts. I had it solely to be able to use my quest. I wasn't feeding the social media beast, so they booted me. I spent a couple days trying to get it resolved, even proving to facebook that the account really was me. When they say "active" they mean you have to consistently participate in the hellscape of social media. I returned my Oculus. I'd rather spend more money on a device that doesn't force me into a service I don't want.

With it being a total VR. Package that can be used out of the box. The graphics are not the greatest. Way more limited free games than you think. Games can range from 4.99 up to 59.99.

Son likes it ok says it gives him a headache. He doesnt like that you have to pay for each game and says they are. Not cheap.
