Great Technology! Fun Games and Great For Exercise
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome piece of technology. I use it in 1 bedroom apartment and I do have to move stuff around every time I want to play but it’s always a good time and a great work out. If you where glasses, then you will want to order prescription lens for the headset. I’d advise against wearing your glasses in the headset like the manual will suggest because you will scratch up your glasses.

All in one VR unit
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice all in one headset for vr. Some might not like to head strap that it comes with. After market is huge on this. A bit front heavy but to be expected since everything is in the front of the unit. Easy set up. Put it on turn on. Have fun then easy put away after your done.

Occulus quest 2
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, my first vr headset. Easy to use and start. Recommend buying an additional battery pack, only lasts around 2 hours on reg battery. Don't like having to tie it to my Facebook account. Needs more stand alone games. Have it hooked to pc with link cable... Lots of fun, great for watching TV and movies too.

Great buy for kids!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is for my son who turned 9. He loved it. I set it up for him and started to use it. I also got interested in it. Game play takes a bit of getting used to. But once you get that down, all good! Graphics, don't think they as good as a PC, PS5, etc... i haven't tried any games like resident evil. You won't be disappointed though! You'll enjoy it. And yes, it trips you out sometimes and you feel like you really will fall, lose balance. It's fun!!

Fun but needs improvements
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product and watched a lot of videos before buying it. I debated between this one with the highest amount of memory and the lesser one as well as the rift. I decided on this one, and got the cable to run to my PC. 1. Haven’t used the cable, there has been enough memory for what I use. 2. This will most likely make you motion sick. It does me on a lot of the games, but you get use to it with time. It’s one reason I don’t play it as much as I first intended. 3. The feature to cast can be tricky. I could get it to cast to my phone (IPhone) but not my TV (Samsung). 4. The head strap is a bit uncomfortable so I got the upgraded version at $50. 5. The pupil distance feature requires you to move the lenses by reaching inside the Oculus. Would be nice if it had a dial that you could adjust. Only has 3 settings but should allow you to fine tune. Overall if you have the money to spend on upgrades and you plan to use frequently then I would recommend. Upgrades are all pretty expensive. So far I’ve spent almost $200 on the cable, head strap and case for it.

First experience with VR... WOW
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Admittedly this is my first experience with VR and I am impressed! Being a fan of the original Myst game from 1993 it was the first game I tried in VR. The experience is amazing. You are in the game instead of viewing it on a flat pc screen. Easy to set up and am anxious to explore other games. Highly recommended!

So much fun!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of fun and educational! My teenage boys like the games. Hubby & I enjoy exploring immersive videos and locations. You can hook it up to a Windows pc with a cable to access apps & games available for the oculus rift but the cable is $75 in store and a bit confusing to choose the correct cable type on Amazon. $75 is too much in my opinion for the cable and we’ve been pleased with what we can use on the Quest 2 store. We’ve also heard you can use an app called Virtual Desktop to access the Steam library but we haven’t tried it yet. For first timers, stick with apps rated “Comfortable” when starting out, otherwise you’ll get queasy. The headset can get heavy, but by the time you notice that, it’s time to take a break anyways. It does get dirty, showing a dinginess on the white straps and if your kid’s sweaty friends use it, you’ll wanna wipe it down and figure out how to clean the face shield. I’m hoping for an improved face shield cuz that was gross. A gentle wipe down took care of that for now. Overall, it was a great family activity for the family over the holidays and we like it a lot.

Perfect for first time/casual VR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an Oculus Rift, the ease of setup with the Quest is kind of a game changer. I was able to just charge it up, stick in on my head and with a few minutes of setting up accounts, connecting to wifi, and play space, I was good to go to start browsing and downloading games (vs the Rift which required a gaming PC, setting up wired sensors and a wired headset). It's essentially a handheld console in terms of being able to bring it with me to a friend's place and be good to play within minutes. Be aware that this currently requires you to link a Facebook account even if you have a separate Oculus Account. If you currently/previously owned an Oculus headset, be aware that not all games are crossbuy (eg, I bought Beat Saber for the Rift but had to repurchase for the Quest 2. I have RoboRecall on the Rift and it was available for me to download on Quest for free). I would recommend getting a different headband since the stock headband isn't comfortable.

Freedom frm wires yet strictly 4 the tech savvy
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this better than my original rift as no pc tethering requirement. Although you can tether to a PC to play the more demanding games. Priced decently but no killer game/use case yet. I wish they come up with a lifelike tennis racket/baseball controller and come up with a game that immerses you in a reality where you are playing federer. Also games cost more than they should given the gameplay duration. Oculus VR is still a good gimmick and not a must buy
