I owned the oculus rift and had a lot of fun with it BUT it had a lot of wires and those dang motion sensors had to be connected to pc which took a lot of USB ports. So naturally I wanted to replace it with something that didn’t have so many wires and accessories to take up ports. I was hesitant about getting the quest 2 because in my head I thought it was just a beefed up “place your cell phone in here” type of headset but boy was I wrong. It plays all my crap stuff on my pc with a usb-c cable I purchased separately for it. Amazing head tracking with no sensors! Yay! Love this quest 2!

We were kind of skeptical when buying this but it's so much fun. We use it daily from scary games, cooking, coloring.. etc.. it's a blast.

Bought it for my son. I've only used it a couple of times and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't give me a headache. 3D movies give me a headache and make me nauseated. My son says the graphics are good and the game play is good, the play is smooth. The headset is comfortable but slightly too big for his adolescent head. He said the sound is good. The controllers are easy to figure out and comfortable to hold. Even the grandparents were able to enjoy a game of Beat Saber. He's satisfied with the battery life. He only has a few games so far but he enjoys them. I appreciate that you can create your barrier.

    Playing VR anywhere is awesome

I had an Oculus Rift which requires you to be tethered to a computer with a long USB cord. The great thing about the Quest is I don't need the computer and can take it anywhere and not have to worry about cords. I don't see any reduction to the graphics quality, controller tracking, and headset weight compared to the Rift. The only issues I have is the stock head strap is essentially an elastic band that wraps around your head. It did not feel stable if I needed to turn or tilt my head and would slip loose. When I tried to tighten it, the pressure on my head is not comfortable. I would recommend getting the Elite Strap. Another thing to note is if you had an Oculus Rift and switch to the Quest, know that you may have to re-buy some games that you already have on the Rift. You can check Oculus website to see which games have Cross Buy. If a game has it, then it will be available on Quest without having to re-purchase.

Forced to upgrade when the battery on my Quest would no longer charge. The Quest 2 loads faster and accesses the apps quicker which is great and there seems to be a better refresh rate between the controllers and the headset. The downside is when it comes to adjusting the lenses. The original Quest had a slider on the underside that allowed you to adjust the lenses while wearing the device. The Quest 2 does not, thus you need to take off the headset and test it over and again. Also, the distance between the lenses and the eyes, even with the eyeglasses extender is very tight, I have concerns that at some point I may scratch the lenses with my glasses. Overall, it is a good device but I do miss my original Quest in some aspects.

I'm new to the world of VR, but what a great introduction. The headset is well made, the resolution is good and the sound is excellent. One must have a facebook account, which I didn't like, but went ahead and created one. During these times of staying home a lot, there are all kinds of things to do and experience. Good exercise games, mini-golf and there is a Venue where I saw the Dalai Lama up close with my daughter "standing" next to me in the theatre. Pretty wild. One kid came up to me in that world and was flirting, but disappeared when I told him I'm old enough to be his grandmother. Hahah!

The future of gaming, at least for some of the family. One uses it for her Supernatural fitness daily, another for beatsaber and Kings Spary tagging game (rather it be virtual than real for that theme) and I unfortunately can loose hours in all things immersive, just watching 360 footage of Petra or New York, or Google Earth Virtual, let alone EchoSpace, which feels almost too real! One family member literally freaked out doing 360 live roller coaster! We also Tether ours to our computer to take advantage of Steam games and Minecraft and Roblox - which gives those games a whole new life!

Wow! I already owned an Oculus Go, but there is really no comparison. The graphics, the sound - and no motion sickness! My 12-yr old grandson loved it. My 78 yr old sister loved it. There are many, many free apps available that are a lot of fun. Something for everyone! I bought this at Best Buy because 1. They have a 15-day return - no questions asked- policy. When spending $400 that's important. 2. It just so happened that my purchase coincided with my birthday & BB gave me a 10% discount!! I ordered online, curbside in my car with 30 minutes. Couldn't have been a better experience!

I bought the Oculus-Quest 2 Advanced for my 13-year old as a Christmas gift, and he says "...it's the best gift ever". I think that's sums up everything, but according to my kid it's life-like play, all-enveloping environment and infotainment is spectacular, vivid and fun. The headset is capable, easy to use and lasts up to 5.5 hours on a charge. The only drawback was that the initial setup wasn't intuitive, but there are plenty of tutorials on how to complete setup, and correct any mistakes especially with the PIN.

The oculus quest made a wonderful christmas gift though I would highly recommend the two year geek squad protection as they do get thrown around a lot and the nose piece on ours broke within a few weeks

I am really enjoying almost every aspect of the Quest 2. Keep in mind that this is the first VR headset I have owned (played plenty before, just didn’t own). It is so simple and intuitive. The only real downside is the facebook aspect that I didn’t realize when I bought. Had to recover my account and ensure I updated all of my privacy settings since I don’t really use facebook and would prefer people don’t suck me back into facebook. Only other minor downside is there are a few games I always wanted to play that are unavailable because they are exclusive to other brands. I’ll just play them elsewhere since having this device be completely stand alone and wireless (if desired) is way too amazing. If Calve ever puts out a wireless Index, I’ll be down…until then Quest it is!

Great product . Oculus has done a wonderful job , and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for this console . Don’t let the Facebook account requirement scare you into not diving into this amazing piece of technology. In my honest opinion this is one of the best game systems out , even tops the series x/ ps5 . Which you also need an account for . The amount your immersed into a game is tripled if not quadrupled . Plus it’s a good way to exercise. One iffy thing is , it’s a lot on the senses , but if you ease yourself into it there shouldn’t be a problem . 10/5 stars by far .

As someone who has had almost every headset and currently still have a Valve Index for "serious VR gaming", the Quest 2 gets far more use around the house. The ease of setting up boundaries, double tap for pass-through without the need for specific USB ports, not having to mess around with the base stations, etc. makes this a great VR headset for daily exercise and travel. Quite a few great games on there. You can even still play the PC/steam VR games by streaming to your headset using virtual desktop, although usually I will go ahead and set up the Index for something like a simulator or Alyx.
