Must have accessory
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any third party strap is going to be an upgrade from the original basic strap. That being said, I've tried many different third party straps, but the Elite straps feel the most premium quality; the knob to adjust feels more sturdier and better weight; the plastic just feels better compared to others. There are other straps that have another adjustment knob for the top of your head, kind like on a PSVR2, which this doesn't have. It is pricey considering it's the official strap, but the quality is better than most third party ones, like the one you see in my photo. If you're going to just get one additional accessory for the Quest 2, you would want these.

Really helps with comfort
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the standard strap that comes with the Oculus 2 to be OK, but the headset shifted around a little too much on my head when playing games that required a lot of movement. This strap really helps to fix that issue for me. The headset stays much more secure on my head without creating pressure points on my face that the standard strap was creating. It's not cheap for a little bit of extra plastic and that's why I'm only giving it 4/5 stars. I'm happy with the purchase and makes extended playing sessions much more enjoyable.

Must have purchase for Quest devices
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best purchase for the Quest 2. I wish I knew about this strap earlier. I used the original strap for about 2 years until it broke. I took a chance on this, slightly more expensive strap and wish I had got this earlier. It makes for a great fit, balances the weight of the headset well and stays put.

Fantastic product. Feels great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was very skeptical about this product, but after a couple months of using my oculus quest 2, I took a chance on getting this because I experienced a lot of pain in my forehead after even just 10 minutes of use with the headset and the original strap. This Elite strap is a total game changer. It feels so much more comfortable, it puts support evenly on the quest from behind your head rather than mainly supporting from the top and digging into your ears, and you don’t need to tighten it so hard that it’s squeezing the quest on your face for it to stay comfortably on your head without fear of falling. Definitely worth buying!

A Game-Changer for VR Enthusiasts!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta Quest 2 Elite Strap is a must-have accessory for any serious VR player! The upgraded design provides exceptional comfort and support, allowing me to fully immerse myself in virtual worlds without any distractions. The strap's ergonomic design and soft padding distribute the weight of the headset evenly, eliminating pressure points and fatigue. The adjustable tensioning system ensures a secure fit, and the quick-release mechanism makes it easy to put on and take off. The Elite Strap has taken my VR experience to new heights, and I can't imagine going back to the standard strap. It's a testament to Meta's commitment to innovation and user comfort. If you're serious about VR, do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Elite Strap – your neck and shoulders will thank you!

The Elite Strap - One quarter in review
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for a little over a quarter of a year, and I have to say it's extremely comfortable. There are plenty of third-party options out there, but I have a hard time trusting brands that aren't associated with Oculus, so I got this. In my opinion, it's a must-have. It keeps the headset secure, and if fastened properly, keeps it from putting too much pressure on your lovely face. KEYWORD: If fastened PROPERLY! Now, feel free to leave a comment to dispute this if it did not work for you, but I actually watched a video about this that stated the importance of tightening the top strap. The top strap is what keeps the headset in a comfortable viewing position, which is why it should be tight, while the rear of the accessory cradles the back of your head and keeps the headset from falling off. Personally, I find it much more comfortable to give the rear cradle a tiny bit of slack (not too much, obviously) so I don't put too much stress on the plastic arms on either side of the headset. I believe this is the reason so many of these tend to break after seemingly careful use. This strap makes longer play sessions much more comfortable and immersive. I seriously can't recommend it enough. I almost want to take away a star because of the price, but I can't bring myself to because I feel like I got my money's worth from this. If you take proper care of this head strap, it will take care of you.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing. The battery life is a major difference, plus the counterweight means its easier on the head than one would think. My daughter loves this because she can play uninterrupted for hours with it.

Never using original strap again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got the elite after using the regular strap for a couple of weeks. It should be standard. Now my other strap is just waste. Feels much more secure on head and takes the guesswork out of adjusting for multiple users. Lost a star for costing way too much.

Buy if multiple people will be using the VR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not going to buy this at first and just see how the original head strap worked. But the Best Buy sales person mentioned this being a good purchase if more than one person in the family would be using this on a regular basis. My kids use it often as well, and this strap is so much easier to use and change the size on. Don't bother if it is mainly you using the head set, but a good purchase for the ease in which you can adjust the size, within 2 seconds usually. The negative to this unit is that I think it is overpriced for what it is. Especially when you consider that you spent $3-$400 on your VR and this by itself was around $50. In the long run it was worth the money just for convenience, but I think it is a bit overpriced.

Best experience possible.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the original Quest 2's straps to be a bit flimsy and I never found the "sweet spot" in comfort. It always seemed that the device would tip forward and I found myself keeping my head at a higher angle most of the time. I found it even more cumbersome while playing dynamic games. Well, I am happy to report that the Elite Strap has almost eliminated the issue. The strap is well made and seems like it will last for a good while. Of course, one must still be careful since it's made of plastic. It is quite easy to install and adjust. The back has a rubber-like brace that fits the back of my head nicely with no sore spots. The "wheel" in the back tightens the entire strap and stays well in place. Rotating it counter-clock-wise releases the tension. I found it comfortable to wear and, while I still felt like the device was there at all times, it was much easier to dismiss and concentrate on the content. In the end, I think it should have been included from the beginning, but as it stands I consider it a must-have. Of course, you can do without it, but as they say, "once you try it, you can never go back".

Get one, unless u need extra battery version.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way better than stock. I’d get one with the extended battery if cost isn’t an object. Easy to adjust and holds the device in place comfortably. In combination with the face pads or “interface” it makes a huge difference! If you play for durations over 15 mins straight, this is a must.

Nice, but the one with the battery pack is nicer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a significant improvement over the stock strap. That said, I wish I had purchased the elite strap with the extra battery capacity instead. If you're on the fence, get one or the other but avoid the stock strap. As for cons: The adjustment knob works.... okay. It has a ratcheting action that gets pretty tight but if you want to really crank it down, the ratchet can slip. When that happens, only one side of the strap tightens. The result is that the straps can be uneven and won't be the best or the most comfortable fit. However, once you figure that out, it is an easy enough problem to avoid.

Surprisingly great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t expect much from this strap but it’s great! Instead lf the frustrating flat slider strap that’s included on the Quest 2, this one is a crank strap. You twist the circle on the back to tighten the headset. Also this strap cups the back of your head for better securment. It makes it so much easier for me to adjust from me to mu nephew. I’m extremely surprised how well it worms.

A little pricey but worth it my opinion.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The elite strap adds extra balance and comfort-ability of the Oculus 2. I'm glad I purchased it. I had concerns that it may not fit into the Oculus travel case but it was made for it. Not mandatory to enjoy the Oculus 2 as the included strap is sufficient but I found I spend less time adjusting for the best view with the elite strap.

Your Head Will Thank You
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used the standard Quest 2 strap that is included when you purchase a Quest 2 VR kit. While I was using the standard strap, it felt like I was constantly adjusting all of the adjustment points and still after playing for a short time, I would start to get a headache. That is when I decided to get the Elite Strap. Long story short, I should have purchased the Elite Strap the same day I purchased the VR set. The Elite Strap has 2 adjustment points. First is the knob on the back. Turn it clockwise and the strap tightens. Turn it counter-clockwise, and the strap loosens. The other adjustment point us the strap along the top. You can use this to help lift the VR headset up a little so it doesn't have the full weight on your face. Having the Elite Strap allowed me to extend my game play time. I have not had any issues at all with any part of the Elite Strap.
